They already put the Behind The Scenes footage online on BET website, since it already aired on the East Coast (don't know if it's the same one that's gonna be on TV? Hasn't aired yet here.) :D

Still going to watch it on TV though, still a couple hours til' HMH comes on here. :)
It's awesome to see positive energy and love put behind the video... Great job to the director and to the ones that participated! :) I think he did well, and it turned out to be a beautiful video~~
 
Wow, that behind the scenes video was really awesome. Even though Michael knew how much his fans loved him, I just can't help but imagine how he would've felt if he saw all of these tributes and all of these people coming together to honor him. As well as all of the wonderful things that people have come out and said after his passing. Such a damn shame that he couldn't experience that..

P.S. But then again, I guess you can't have everything. I must admit that when Michael was in his heyday he sure had it pretty darn good lol

This one, right? Yes. The little boy was so cute, he LOVED that camera, was so cute. Great atmosphere.
That whole "to Michael", "we love you Michael", man, I could break down again, it was so emotional- and everyone around got emotional, too.

Great video!

It took me awhile to bring myself to watch it. I finally did and as I thought, by the very end, I was all choked up. The stepping on the flower (or whatever it is) in the water at the very end, did it for me.

As the tears stream down my face, all I can say along with all the fans of the video is "I Love You Michael".

New Michael Jackson video soars

Posters promoting the launch of a posthumous Michael Jackson album titled 'Michael' are pictured in Hollywood this week.

The album contains 10 tracks and will be released on December 14.

The video for that Michael Jackson/Akon duet Hold My Hand debuted online on Vevo at 12:01 a.m. Thursday.

The song is the lead single off of MJ's first original posthumous album, Michael (out Dec. 14), and while the video features plenty of Akon, the King of Pop is nearly always present, all without the aid of wacky holograms or a computer-generated ***** avatar.

According to Billboard, all the happy and/or mourning MJ devotees in the video are real-life fans who participated in the filming two weeks ago in California.

Director Mark Pellington released a statement about the video on the official Michael Jackson website, saying, "The video is a tribute to all that Michael stands for — life, in all its permutations . . . love, and its power."

Last week, Jackson was nominated for a Grammy. His song This Is It, the title track from his concert film, received a nod for Best Male Pop Vocal

It is just as special as the video & I wish it was available on DVD too .
There is a definate SPIRITUAL connection with Michael in this track & it will remain one of my all time favourites.
The more you listen to it the more special it becomes.

'Hold My Hand' is making a lot of upwards movement on the iTunes charts again - possibly due to the video (finally!) being released. Here are some placings/movements worthy of note;

Just seen a clip of the video on BBC Breakfast, they promoted the album and also spoke to Teddy Riley
 
It was beautiful. Truly beautiful.

It's a shame MIchael never took part of filming some segments for the video. I think it was shot after his death and that's why it got released a bit later after the single came out.

I remember articles before his death that they were filming (or about to film) for the Hold My Hand video. Maybe they cancelled these plans when it got leaked on the internet!
