How those charts are counted? Is it that they count how many people listen different time of a day?

I haven't heard WBSS on the radio yet but i HAVE heard a lot of Michael's old Thriller stuff lately. Just today while I was at work they played Billie Jean. To one of my coworkers i was like OMG IM IN LOVE WITH MICHAEL JACKSON! and she looked at me and said...Oh yeah i know you seem to be the type to love him...I have know idea what that means...lol
