What were Michael’s plans before he died?

Now this is a sequel to my previous post about his debt. I read on Michael’s wikipedia page that in order to recoup his debts, that along with the This Is It residency at the O2 Arena in London, he had planned a including a world tour (Mumbai, Paris and New York City as some of the next venues), a new album, films, a museum and a casino.

Now these are all media reports at the time, so what I want to ask is if any and all of this is true or not, and if so, can you expand on them, and if not, what were his actual plans?
 
He wanted to release a classical album made up of instrumental pieces that he composed. A song called "Lady Of Summer" was one of the pieces.. Obviously he wanted to make a new album, he worked with a lot of people for the new album like Ne-Yo, Neff-U, Redone, Akon, will.i.am, Deepak Chopra...
However he also wanted to finish his old and previous songs like Throwin' Your Life Away, Hollywood Tonight, I Am A Loser, Lonely Bird, Ghost Of Another Lover, etc...
He was going to do a Halloween Themed TV Special on October 31, 2009 aired by CBS. "It centered around the Ghosts footage Michael had personally financed. The intent was to create a yearly Halloween television special. Michael was going to host and perform on the show." It would also source HD footage from the Thriller/Ghosts/Threatened from the first leg of the TII concerts.
 
  • Wanted to make movies
  • Going to make another Album or two
  • Hollywood theme TV Special
  • Adopting more children
  • Making a trip to North Korea to rescue hostages
  • Going on stage with one of his kids (probably Paris)

What's the source for the classical album info? The other day I was listening to the MJCast Michael Prince episode and he claimed MJ told him around 2008 or 2009 he didn't wanna do albums anymore
I'm not gonna release albums anymore. We're just gonna put out a single every couple of months.

This article came out a few days after his death and I think that's the first time (if not the only) the classical project has been mentioned:

Cool stuff, imagine an orchestra performing MJ's classical music with him in the audience, it would be like our modern day Beethoven. Sad that it never happened.
 
MJ also planned to continue his This Is It tour in many more locations. I don't think this would have happened but it was certainly something he was planning. The "Final Shows" thing was marketing and more would have been announced.

According to Michael Prince If all had gone to plan MJ was gonna continue working on his music whilst touring and release it as single songs. Compiling them into an album once he felt he had released enough. It seems he saw the way the music industry was going.

The Halloween special was reported on and is apparently true as well.

The sad thing about the classical songs is that the guy that MJ played them for is probably the only person who could complete them properly as he has the material (vocal demonstrations by MJ), he has tried to contact the estate but they apparently showed no interest.

Cool, time to bombard the Estate with emails asking for the classic album to be completed. Iirc at the last email-bombing for the Thriller 40 documentary they replied... it costs nothing to try.

Yes, a friend/ colleague of Michael’s (maybe Travis Payne?) said he planned to bring his kids along to the venue and maybe even bring them on stage.

He also clarified that that wasn’t actually the case. At least not in the way he initially told it. Michael was going to release albums, but the rollouts would be different.

He would focus on releasing a large number of singles before compiling them on an album later on. Those were Michael Prince’s words.
 
MJ was also set to work on three movies with one of them being based on the Thriller music video. There was so much going on behind the scenes that it's a real shame that nothing was able to come to fruition.

Travis Payne specifically stated that Michael Jackson was excited to do these shows because he was still young enough to perform, and also because his 3 children were old enough to appreciate what it was that he had loved for so many years.

This is interesting. Where are the documents from? What was the purpose of the movie poster before pre-production even began?

Correct. He did everything he could to keep them out of the public eye. They were practically a secret - to the point where nobody actually knew what they looked like.

And honestly, in the last 10 years of his life, that was his greatest achievement.

Too bad the kids are so keen to throw all that work away and appear in magazines every week.

He managed to protect their childhood away from the spotlight, so he succeeded in that.
Now they are adults, they can manage their fame however they want to, and actually I think they are keeping it pretty low-key and are pretty humble and well raised.
 
I think he wanted to focus on doing movies stuff l;ike thta cuz i think he got sick n tired of the music biz

But, you know, it's like they never listened to the HIStory album or something.
 
They can. But some decisions are intelligent and some decisions are stupid, and they will be judged accordingly.

I just think it's a big kick in the teeth for Michael to throw away all his hard work protecting them. Like, it wasn't easy, but he did an amazing job. He'd be turning in his grave if he knew they were courting celebrity.
