What's up with all these bots making threads?

It's the off topic spam that's the problem. I see no reason to deny bots rights otherwise. I can't imagine them making worse takes on Michael than some already here...
 
What about a cooldown when someone new register? For example, a new member can't create a new thread for the next 24 hours. I don't know if those bots have a script to come back 24 hours later. Not impossible but... can be a solution maybe?
 
Let's put it another way - I've already been forced to stop watching broadcast TV and stop reading newspapers because of adverts. I've been forced to stop using SMS and email and phone calls.

It's only logical that the web will be next.

Because initially they posted in German. I think that more people on this forum speak English while many wouldn't understand the German posts. So it's smarter because to post in a language that more/all users will understand.

Spam bots have very little to do with those. You can get a virus on your PC easily.
 
All of these threads are from the same company. It's literally the word coupon. Just instaban them. It's a very simple solution given you already have access to a swear filter.

Like, I'm not joking, my patience is running out with this site.

I don't care if it's spam or just TV adverts from my friends at McDonald's. They all waste my time and they're all equally offensive.

How about not allow just anybody to make an account and heavily vet new accounts for suspicious behavior

How about have some rules and restrictions imposed on new accounts as well.

Theres a lot they can do, they just let anybody create an account.

Ive been warning for years now that guilters had infiltrated this site and their disgusting cult is probably the ones causing all these bot attacks too.

Why don't you close off the forum from letting new accounts join? Theres no way to filter the people who sign up here?

Maybe we could convert them into actual "fans" and they will convince the Estate to release more unreleased stuff?

Exactly. Email is a wasted opportunity. It's become totally unusable. A defunct technology. And calling has gone the same way - starting with the youngest and working it's way up the population. Basically people under 30 never pick up a phone.

Same with TV - it must be at least 2 or 3 years since I watched any show going out live. Pretty soon I'm gonna be quitting radio too, if these competitions get any worse.
 
And yet record numbers of people are cutting off their phones.

Like, they even run courses now on how to use the phone, for people in their 20s who lack the skills or confidence to use one properly.

I'm just confused. I'm not even gonna say anything anymore at this point.
 
Remember guys this is a public open platform, so unfortunately will always be open to those who wish to exploit.
