Wow! That is a lot!

It is a lot, but we have to remember this:
"All of Me" impacted American mainstream urban radio as the album's third single on August 12, 2013.
On the week ending May 16, 2014, it peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 becoming his first number one single in the United States. It knocked off "Happy" by Pharrell Williams, which spent ten weeks at number-one on the chart.

If I'm not badly off, it took 9 months from this song to get those numbers, as it was released August last year.
Who knows what kind of Numbers LNFSG gets is 9 months time?

What a pathetic week in terms of sales. The top album sold less than 90K units. Is this the lowest total ever for a number 1 album?

just look at the numbers for Mariah & change (Coldplay -78%,,,)

Exactly. I remember when someone here said that 57% for Xscape was a "huge" 2nd week drop... Now, look at how much albums usually tend to drop.

And yeah, Mariah in her first week sold 1/3 of what Xscape sold in its first week.

Damn, Frozen nearly outsold Mariah - it could still end up ahead of her seeing how small the difference is!

A bit of a Schafenfreude: 50 Cent's new album is projected to sell 30k in its first week.

New releases:

HDD: 50 Cent 30k; #1 Miranda Lambert 130-150k

YOUR EARLY READS: RCA Nashville’s Miranda Lambert should easily take the top spot next week. Early, early reads suggest 130-150k. Rhino’s three Led Zeppelin reissues could potentially all wind up in next week’s Top 10. While that’s not yet a certainty, each looks headed to the 25-30k range. Other debuts include 50 Cent (G-Unit/Caroline) at 30-35k and Lucy Hale (DMG Nashville) with 18-22k. Of course, we’ll know more tomorrow and have a more extensive list of this week’s releases. The HITS editorial staff would like those Zep rereleases, but we've only got a 8-track player; will that be a problem?

Miranda Lambert (RCA Nashville) 130-150k
50 Cent (G-Unit/Caroline) 30-35k
Led Zeppelin (Rhino) 25-30k
Lucy Hale (DMG Nashville) 18-22k
(6/3p)

And it's not like there wasn't a huge campaign for his new album. :p

That would mean that Xscape will drop from Top 10. That is not good.

What did you expect with so many new releases?
When there are so many new releases it is expected that they will push down older ones. That's just natural. Actually the numbers for most of these new releases are not very good for first week sales (compare it to Xscape's 157k). Xscape can climb back later if the singles will be successful.

It's all about the singles these days. If the singles will be hits they can keep the album selling.

That's great! And the official numbers are bigger this time too lol!

^That is great news! This is at the top end of the projections which seems to indicate good word of mouth for the album as more people become aware of the content. Hopefully sales will stabilize a bit before the next single is released.
