Guys its hugely distressing to know that already there is a south park episode which misrepresents MJ, but let there be no doubt that another will be made disregarding all sensitivities..........why do I say this ? because they did it to Steve Irwin who was a great fan of and be sure they will do it to MJ. I have found the contact details for the southpark producers and am collecting comments and sigs here to forward to those people, to prevent another South Park episode being made. Please support me in this, I have no doubt one is being made while we greive.

there already is a south park episode about Mike, or do you mean a new one?

I've always found the best way to treat South Park is to simply avoid it.

The show is probably one of the only on television which manages to not only embarrass itself but perfectly portray the mentality of those who watch it.

In other words, idiots with minimal intelligence and a poor grasp of the concept of comedy.

that is just the attention they need to do one. south park is not worried about sponsorship or ratings... you tell them not to do something, they are more than likely to actually do it.

you are free to do whatever you wish to do but I just wanted to say that :)

A new one will be released soo, this is based on the fact they it only took them 12 weeks to release one about Steve Irwin despite massive protests.....help me in eliminating this possibility, I couldnt bare to see another one after his death.

Your right, the show is based around causing controversy........but even you would have to admit chichi this would be a step too far. So for me inaction is not acceptable, they already would have started to plan it.

I'm sorry, but I don't support banning a South Park Episode about Michael. I do get why you don't want to see such a thing, especially now. But I find the tabloid press way more unrespectful but we can't ban those either. South Park doesn't ever claim to be truthful, they are just a comedy/satire series. And I think that when you aren't allowed to make fun of things, you can't take them seriously either. All the fans that think they will be hurt by seeing it, should just not watch it. I don't buy gossip magazines either because I know I will get hurt by all the BS they print. Banning goes a step too far in my personal opinion.

I have to say I disagree.

Absolutely. I completely agree.

I think until we actually hear a rumour that they're doing something on Michael then we shouldn't give them unescissary attention and I'm pretty sure like Chichi said, if you tell them not to do something, it'll just make them want to do it even more.
Let's hope they don't stoop as low to do something like this, though. And as soon as we get actual word of them doing so, then I will jump straight on board to stop it. But if they do go ahead with something so disrespectful, I really don't think anyone with a heart would find it even slightly funny...and southpark would lose whatever little respect the show had...if any.

I also think there are much worse things out there to deal with than South Park.
The press is absolutely disgusting even after Michael's death...

I wouldn't worry too much about South Park to be honest... As someone mentioned, they never claimed to be the truth. It's just comedy. And I also agree that they will LOVE to get all these comments from MJ fans that want to ban it. It will just encourage them...

The press on the other hand, always claims that they are right...THEY are the ones we should deal with!

In my opinion, South Park is harmless. I've even found it funny on occasion. I'm not going to apologize for that, even if that makes me an idiot with a poor concept of comedy. Thanks.

I don't find jokes about Michael or Michael's death funny at all. I just avoid them. If someone comes up to me in my face and makes fun of Michael, that's a different story. Insensitive as I would find this new South Park episode, in fact "stupid" as I may find it, I feel it is still comedy that doesn't nearly make it next to the disgusting tabloid press. I don't feel my personal opinion on someone or something should dominate comedic freedom, if it's relatively harmless.

I'd rather get offended by human rights being violated all over the world.

I never watch that show to begin with. I have hated that show right from the begining. If they call what they do comedy. Then I am so glad I prefer British comedies and all of the old comedies from the 50s to the mid 90s. Because that show was never funny and it never will be.
