    Wow! What a mess!
The fact that the author ranks ‘Earth Song’ at Nr. 117 is a crime. I mean, how can a song like ‘This Time Around’ rank at Nr.67 and ‘Earth Song’ at Nr.117?
Overall I hate it when critics rank his songs or albums because they tend be very unfair.
They always call ‘Off The Wall’ and ‘Thriller’ his best albums and never talk about anything that came after ‘Dangerous’ and that really annoys me.
Also, how unprofessional is this critic? He ranks ‘Black Or White’ at Nr.13 which is fine but then has this to say about the track:

“Jackson at his most Trumpian. By the time he was recording Dangerous, his production partners saw him bleaching his skin. His black features had been erased to the point where he looked white, and then something else. His masculinity was disappearing too.“

Are you reviewing his music or spreading tabloid rumors, my friend?

    Tragic list.

Monster at #139, Keep Your Head Up at #133 & Breaking News at #102. How can these three fake songs be ahead of genuine Michael Jackson songs? They should be the bottom three.

How is Heal The World the worst Michael Jackson song?

How is Earth Song not in the top 30 at least?

Vulture are a bunch of clowns.

These so called critics have ALWAYS critiqued Michael persona instead of his music. They don’t do any other artist that way. These jealous pieces of $#@& were never fair to him. I don’t consider them critics of music, just tabloid trash. Their reviews are biased and don’t mean crap.

    This.

Critics who review Michael Jackson’ music are a bunch of morons. They shouldn’t even be called critics. Their job is to review the music, the songs, the albums. They should review a song by looking at how strong/weak the lyrics, the melody, instrumentation, vocal delivery are.

Instead, when reviewing MJ’s music, they review his personal life by giving their own opinions on the lies perpetuated by the media.

That’s why I don’t take critics seriously when it comes to Michael Jackson.

^ That reviewer is an idiot. Basically trashes three quarters of MJ's entire catalogue. You can tell this guy does not like him.

Most of these creeps are “rock” critics who arrogantly think that they are intelligent. When HIStory was released, I actually called one of these “ critics” and asked him why he critiqued Michael instead of the album. Believe it or not he apologized profusely and said he was sorry. He explained that he loved “Stranger In Moscow” and thought it was brilliant. I asked him why couldn’t you just concentrate on Michael’s music and not him or his personal life. He couldn’t really give me a reason. The bottomline is that this “critic” was a different person on the phone than what is review was in the newspaper. I think a lot of these critics think they HAVE to tear down Micharl in order to appear cool to their fellow critics. What a bunch of cowards! Btw, this critic had no idea when he answered the phone that I was going to DISAGREE with his review. I guess he thought that I was one of those flunkies who couldn’t think for myself and was easily manipulated.FTR, he was actually much nicer than I thought he would be and listened to my disagreement with him.
The bottomline is why didn’t he have courage to put in his written review what he told me about Michael’s music?

This critic has some inaccuracies, and some false and contradictory information in his review.

For example, about ‘Black Or White’, he writes:

The rap in the middle features a black guy singing the lines, “I’m not going to spend my life being a color,” which strikes me as demonstrating a pretty significant lack of understanding about the effects of racism

But the guy who sings these rap lines is Bill Bottrell who is white, not black.

Or, what he writes about ‘Liberian Girl':

He suffered from a condition called vitiligo, which gave him patches of lighter skin; that was his excuse for bleaching the rest of his skin

That was not really an excuse here.

Michael Jackson’s lighter skin parts began from a certain time to multiply significantly on his entire body to the point where it would be medically more advisable for him to start lightening his remaining fewer and not yet affected by the vitiligo darker parts of his skin, rather than trying to darken the lighter parts of his skin (affected by vitiligo) that were more in number and also larger in size.

Or, contradictory information like this one (about ‘Black Or White’, again):

"Then came this song. "It don’t matter if you’re black or white,” he sang. Odd - it sure seemed like it mattered to him

What the critic writes here (“it sure seemed like it mattered to him”) contradicts him because the critic already showed that he is aware of Michael Jackson’s vitiligo disease which lightens the colour of the skin.

This list is just weird, but the comments about each song is even weirder... I didn't read all of it, only some at the top, middle and bottom, but not a single explenation made much sense or had much relevance to the music.

I didn't even click the link. everyone has their opinions and taste on what song they like do not like. there are some songs i do not like from Michael. now i can understand if they never even listen to the song and say it not good etc. but at the end of the day we have our own likes and dislikes. i don't think that's hating on MJ at all. you don't have to like all MJ songs. and some fans need to understand that. i'm not a fan of History and Dangerous eras. so i'm gonna get look down on because i'm not a fan of these eras? come on guys grow up. Michael didn't care what his fans like and didn't like about him as long they liked him as an human.

Well, if you didn't even open the link then you obviously don't know what is being said in the article, so you can't say that the guy is not hating on Michael. In truth....he is and I'll give you some examples:

-He basically calls him a child molester while ''reviewing'' 'Childhood'. He also says that he ''ruined other kids' childhoods''.

-Calls him a pedophile once again while reviewing 'Do You Know Where Your Children Are'. Here is the quote:
''It’s amazing to me that his estate and someone like Timbaland were so tone-deaf as to release a song with this title given the credible child sexual-abuse allegations against Jackson.''

-Talks about the R. Kelly controversy while reviewing 'Cry':
'' Right around the time he was working on this song with Jackson, Kelly was allegedly filming himself urinating on a 13-year-old girl.''
Why did he feel the need to talk about that while reviewing a song?

-Says the emotion in 'Earth Song' is fake:
''Jackson starts choking up with an utterly false emotion in the second verse, two-and-a-half minutes in, and there are four minutes to go.''

....and I could go on but I think this is enough.

So, how is this not hating on him? Apart from all the rumours he is talking about...he also trashes pretty much all of the songs that are not in the top 30.
The guy who wrote the article is just plain ignorant in my opinion. As Michael would say:'' Ignorant Fool!''
