So this is my first post :)

Just wanted to say it seems Sony are in for the stay as the podcast is going to run for a year!

Great News! Well done for their efforts so far...

Some of you probably saw the people who danced Thriller on the tube in the UK. It had sounded like they were just random but it turns out they were sponsered by Sony. Cool huh?

Sony BMG uses YouTube to promote Thriller album



Sony BMG is promoting the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's Thriller album with a YouTube viral of professionals dancing on the tube.
London commuters were treated to an impromptu show on London Underground's District Line by dancers from the Thriller Live stage show performing the famous zombie thriller dance.
The show, set up by Sony BMG - the label behind Jackson, was filmed and seeded onYou Tube and has so far received 380,000 views in under a week.
 
I'm a "new fan" since the trial, so I didn't know what it was like back in 2001 for INVINCIBLE...

I 'd like to know if you guys think that the T25TH promotion is better than for INVINCIBLE... The all buzz, tv's ad, internet sites, radio...

Do you think Sony are doing a better job even if T25Th is a re-released???
 
Yes, I think that Sony is doing quite a good job with promo and using some good ideas (Thriller on the tube). It's a pity I haven't seen any billboard, Radio, TV, newspaper, or magazine adverts in the UK tho. It's released on Monday and I'm not sure how Sony expect people that don't surf the internet everyday or go to music shops regularly to know it's even being released. I expected a small amount of real world publicity before the album release. Still, in the US and online they are doing a great job. I don't know much about other countries though.
 
It's strange, the promotion in uk...

To my mind, in France, I think it's being well promoted, but as it's my first new MJ release, I don't know how it used to be!!!!
 
its an easy money maker for sony so they are bothering with promo. its a one off special and mj gets the masters or whatever they are called back very soon so its their last chance to milk mj. win win situation.u cant compair vince with this as im sure u know all about what went on with mottola. the album was killed within 2 months of its release. aso this isnt a new album

there was almost no promotion for "Invincible" unfortunately:(

I don't want to paste my statements but how I feel about the whole "Thriller 25" buzz I said in thread " The Sun "T25" aricle"...

with Sony is exactly the same...:(


but hopefully Michael is wiser than all of them
