11th Feb, 2008: MJ News and Mentionings

We always have fans who talk rubbish about being MJ's REAL fans! how can you say that, anyone can be a fan if they want to be! Its a fact that people are getting tired of MJ not performing or pulling out of stuff everytime an oppurtunity is present. Don't give the trial excuse coz thats done an over with....all he's doing recently is being recognised as a has been by accepting awards for his previous work regarding Thriller ONLY.

Michael hasn't frankly done anything recently (Yeah Thriller 25...with crappy remixes).... So please respect other people's thoughts when they raise concern about MJ's ability to create music.

PS - Michael always has this phrase "You ain't seen nothing yet" or "This is not the end for Michael Jackson" well...we've waited long enough, however maybe we are actually seeing nothing because there is nothing.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of you need to direct your frustrations somewhere else. Is it the anticipation that is fuelling this much disappointment in some?

You're really making Michael's responsibilties extend beyond the realms of that of an entertainer of whom you are merely a fan by choice. You aren't paying Michael Jackson in any form or manner like you pay tax to maintain the royal family or pay the unemployed their dole. It's different. and thus he has no real obligation to prance around at the Grammy awards just appease a few who thought this was the combeack opportunity...whatever a comeback means anyway.

we are riding high on rumours and nothing wrong with that..but please don't attribute a negative twist at every attempt Michael does -- it's really sad and depressing. Give the guy a break...wait for him to deliver and then judge if you really want to. don't give arm chair management/music advice.

A performer/Musician has a responsibility and thats to keep the people who pay his bills happy. Those people are the FANS. Just maybe MJ realised that he didn't want you to continue to 'PAY HIS BILLS ' forever. That is why he is now the head of a major corporation, namely, Sony/ATV which is where the REAL money is, not perforng on stage.:D

also had he performed at the Grammy's lets say a track off thriller...the very same lot of you who are whining about Michael not doing 'anything' will say that he only performs his old tracks because afterall he's this lazy old guy who cant be arsed to get up and make some new music, do some new chroeography etc.

I dont think Michael gets any pleasure in sending out random sound bites attributing to his music ventures...it doesn't make him much money..getting a few hopes up...so stop assuming that there is 'nothing'.

oh really..you pay the prime-minister's bill with your taxes.. is he keeping you happy???

anyways.. everyone is entitled to their opinion.. but please understand if you post your opinions on forum..its open for challenges by folks that disagree with you...

I disagree with you.. Michael don't own you damn thing.. you have a choice where to spend your entertainment dollars...if you spend it on MJ and you are not happy ..............move on..

First off, please do not mix politics with entertainment.....its just plain dumb.
Yeah its open forum thats why I posted here. MJ Might not owe anything to me but he owes his success to the PEOPLE. Its a stupid thing to say "when you are unhappy with something...you should just move on and say nothing about it"...Michael Jackson has been the soundtrack of my life for a long time, how can I just let go and move on....thats stupid. Surely we have the right to criticise what he does...They way you talk is like fans are sheeps who should follow and buy everysingle thing that MJ release....being it crap or amazing.

Thats worrying.

MICHAEL JACKSON has not PULLED OUT of ANYTHING...

People and award shows continue JUMPING THE GUN..

With the WMA 06, he was asked to perform and take part in a THRILLER tribute. Before Michael said NO to the performance, they advertized it.. That's there fault. Not his... He went there to recieve an award, felt obligated to do SOMETHING so he grabs the mic and does a little something.

Grammy awards, Michael NEVER said he was going to be there, take part in anything.. The Grammy awards even said HE WILL NOT perform, at this time they deleted ALL info regarding the THRILLER dedication.. I said this for days, WHERE is the Thriller dedication info on the grammy site. Yet only a few listen.. I said they changed he commercial, Michael is not on it.. The site deleted the MJ stuff... Yet people sempt to want to believe what they wanted.

if you look back at the grammy thread you'll even see me say, fans will get mad at MICHAEL for the Grammy awards fauls promoting.. SEE it's happening.. Just like I said

I DID expect the grammy awards to do something for him, but THEY did not. But when Michael said no to the performance, they obviously pulled everything for Thriller dedications.

Michael is saving everyything for his NEW album.. Why would he perform for THRILLER 25, when he knows his next public performance will get the most attention.. He'll want to do it with a lot of rehearsal time, promoting his NEW album.. He wont put a performance together in such short notice, for a 25 year old album, he'll perform for his new album when the time is right..

Remeber MTV awards 1995?? How GREAT that was?? That's because it was his first performance back after the 1993-1994 allegations, he knew the world would critique every move.. He is being carefull. His next performance will be his FIRST performance back after the trial.. it could be his MOST IMPORTANT performance to date..

Oh for gods sake. I'm not excouraging anything.

Go ahead, Report away until your hearts content. Andrew Ryan said exactly how I (and no doubt) many others feel on the matter.

As long as people are agreeing with everything you say, you don't say boo to a goose.
There's so many frigging yes men on this board.

well now you got some back up with AR, as to the friggin yes men on the board comment, the members on this board have many differences, and we post how we feel. yes men in what way? because there is a significant number of members who share some views in common that happen to be different from yours? that does not make them yes men, it just makes their opinion their own, and different than yours. surprise. differences exist.

It's about time for a breather.. Everyone, if your right or wrong, just take a break and calm down.. There is no reason to FIGHT. debates are one thing, fights are another..

^ Sure!! :) thanks for enjoying it..

I like when people like what I say..

who doesn't?? lol!

Just to let fans know yesterday I (as other MJ fans did all around) posted flyers promoting Thriller 25..

*I personally posted around 50 flyers on car windshields at a local mall..

*Put about 2 of the on cars on Walmart when I was there, and taped 1 by the enterance. (not on glass window) I did not want employees to see, only people walking in.

* Put 5 more on cars at another mall that I just happened to pass

* I taped another one at BEST BUY enterance

I'm gonna make some more flyers to pass around with the "ON SALE NOW" instead of "Released February 12th" and "Coming Tuesday"

If you want me to send you some, let me know..

I've already adressed the arguments like that above.... don't want to repeat things

peace:D

Why would someone expect MJ to do things on there own watch?? It's Michael Jackson doing the work, so why get mad and expect things to come out of thin air?? I have said this over and over again..

Michael is working on a NEW album, he is trying to keep his public appearances at a minimal. (he ALWAYS does this before an album). He goes away, getting people saying. "Where is he?" He sends out little messages here and there, giving them a big tease.. Getting people talking more... keep em' waiting, keep waiting, wait, wait.. BAM

and he comes back...

I know I'm not the only one that has notice the pattern.. Thriller 25 is a promotional tool, to get his music out to a younger generation.. Akon, Fergie, Kanye West, Will.i.am fans will get the album because THEY are on it, and they will be introduced to Michael Jackson that way.. From that, he will release his NEW FULL album..

Watch as what I say unfolds.

:clapping::give_rose:for this post:D

What about the trial?
I've supported Michael through the years...and probably will never stop...but my patience is wearing thin.

The trial was over with in 2005....it's now 2008. That's about 2 and a half years since his aquital.

That's ample time for Michael to get healthy again and put something out for the fans.
..and we keep hearing how he "Never stopped" making music. If so then surely something would have been out before now.

Lord, if Madonna and Prince can put a new album and tour out ever 2-3 years, I'm sure Michael can.

OMG, You should listen to yourself... Michael has matured and he also has 3 gorgeous children he has to take care of. I do belive they come first

Maybe so...but the fact remains that Michael left himself WIDE open for that to happen.

Yes, he likes/d children, I understand it and so does the rest of his fans. but we live in a place where people are suspicious of anyone. Innocence simply gets tossed aside. The allegations were just waiting to happen.

I DON'T and NEVER have believed a word of it but the world is a f***ed up perverted place.

I'm just surprised someone didn't think of it sooner than they did.

C'mon, we are not going there! or it may end up in the we had enougfh section, aight?!

these so called "fans" always pop up very often to cause trouble in the fan community and give us all a bad name. so what if his last album was a decade ago ? so what if he hasnt performed in ages? couldnt care less..... i'm not here because of MICHAEL JACKSON and "billie jean is not my lover and the kid is not my son" i'm here because of MICHAEL. period.

So what you want from Michael? You are just here hanging around "because of Michael"? Because of him as a person? or what? Or you are he just because he has achieved so much and his so wealthy celebrity?!

I have been a mj fan around 25 years and I've always been his fan to have new music from him. Old music is old and new is new. And new is exciting, old isn't. So if you are here because of "billie jean" or things like that it sounds more like you are just being bored to listen his 25 years old stuff 1000 times a year. I think that's just plain stupidity and insanity..

Well people are still listeniong to it and MJ is still selling more than his contempory artists. I also stoll buy classical music which is still older than mj's music.

is this really the news thread? looks up to check again:mello:

The settlement amount included penalties and fees, but did not take into account the $23 million the singer owes after defaulting on loans he took out on the ranch. One financial services company, Fortress Investment, is already two weeks past the time it can start foreclosing on the property.
I just wanted to point out that, although it has NOT been reported by any news source, by all of my own accounts Michael Jackson has not been in default since November 2007.

Sure, but you don't mean you are listening same pieces over and over and over again. Old stuff sounds much better when you listen like once or twice in a month. A good example is how radio kills songs when play too much. I would stupid if I killed my own idol's music by listening it hundreds of times in a year.

Most of the music I buy is very old. I hardly ever buy new music and I am usually disappointed in new music, so yes. I play old music, from 50's through to 80's. I love the 70's music very much. So yes. I do listen to MJ more now and I work to classical music.:D

That's it folks. No more convo in this thread that is not related to today's news.

Infractions will be handed out now.

Thread cleaned for the 2nd time today.
