Haha, don't feel bad. I kinda like that song too. It's so catchy!

I wouldn't call The Eagles one hit wonders.

Here's a list of their songs they've had out

One Of These Nights
Heartache Tonight
Desperado
Life In THe Fast Lane
Take It Easy
Take It To The Limit
How Long
Witchy Women
Get Over It

Gotta love the 90's and the one hit wonders.
I remember Dr. Bombay, my friend had his CD.

Then there's Crazy Frog but I hate that creature so much that I rather not post a video.

They have only one international hit - "Hotel California". Maybe they are big in the US but not in the other world.

They have the 2nd (and sometimes 1st, lol) biggest selling album in US sales. And their newest album (which is only sold in Wal Mart) has sold 8 million. Selling that many records today is rare when just going platinum is considered good.

I don't care how many copies they sold, they still have only one hit song knowing around the world.

how can a group of artists be deemed one-hit-wonders when they have the second best selling album of all time actually called Greatest Hits? LOL

just bow out gracefully, mate.

this cat charted 7 albums within top 5 (UK and US). no technicalities here.

That's why for me they are the greatest one-hit-wonders of all time. It's like Paul McCartney. His last video I saw at the 80's, I don't see him at MTV and other musical channels, I don't hear him on a radio, I don't see him at the charts, award shows. But he still sells his albums and has huge crowds at concerts.

Well thats not exactly what a one hit wonder is.:mello:
No way can you say Paul McCartney is a one hit wonder. I know some MJ fans dislike Paul for Michael buying the Beatles and Paul speaking openly about it, but reality is Paul McCartney and the Beatles are legendary artists, so they definitely do not fit in this thread.

I don't know much about the Eagles but I don't think they have only one hit song. They obviously have had successful careers, if their latest album sold 8 million alone. Thats not a one or two hit wonder.:)

One hit wonders are people who have one or two hits, are big for a short period of time then disappear. They get dropped because people grow out of the hype. Kind of like Soulja boy and that dance he had.^_^

Paul McCartney on the other hand was part of the legendary group the Beatles, he is one of the greatest song writers of all time, and will be remembered as a legend for a long time to come. Just because hes not on MTV doesn't mean hes a one hit wonder. If Paul McCartney was a one hit wonder, it would have had to been one huge hit that got Michael to bid for their catalog

I never said that Paul McCartney is a one hit wonder, though I think he's nothing without John Lennon.

How is that since most of the Lennon/McCartney songs were written separately? Mainly it's the earlier songs that were written together. Very little of the later material was joint written. Paul had the most successful career of the ex-Beatles (although initially it was Ringo). John's and George's albums and singles in general didn't do too well, except for certain ones. As far as the Eagles are concerned, they have several hit collections as well as a box set. A one hit wonder can't have a box set.
