I REALLY hope no one deletes this? Please post here if you affirm what we are doing here? I DO affirm investigations, and I hope there will be respect for what we are doing here.

There are guidelines stickied at the top of the forum. Everyone please read them, and respect them. This is a small, out-of-the-way forum, and no one has to engage with it if they do not want to.

There are people here who've been here for a long time, and have read everything. I do not have a problem with "new" people in this forum, except for a few things. That I think they should read first, come up to speed with that, and if they think there was NO conspiracy, keep it to that one, thread.

We had a problem. The problem seemed to have been solved. We now, again, have a problem. What happened is "challenging" posts with little real information, and then many here respond to them and threads go off track. There is a simple solution to this problem. Just ignore those sorts of posts. IGNORE them. Do not respond. Take back control. If all we do is defend what has already been said, then we are derailed and are not DOING anything. Just ignore. Try?

You know what I mean. . .

Absolutely Vic--this is an excellent way to deal with those who refuse to adhere to the guidelines of the IU.

Thanks

Bravo!
Those who do not agree with the opinions expressd here should just move on.

I am truly not trying to be in any way aggressive here. This is a peaceful solution. We can't really control what others do; we can only control our own behaviors. There are people here who are sincere. We DO discuss conspiracies here. That is the purpose of this little forum. There are people who come on here intent to convince everyone that there was no conspiracy. They have a right to their opinions, but not to derail every thread and seemingly "force us" to defend our positions by going right back to the beginning. Those threads do not have to be derailed. We can politely include the link to the "Murray acted alone" thread, and anyone who wants to discuss that can go there.

It's not easy, because emotions can get high. But we can decide, do we want to continue "investigating?" If so, then the most important thing is to stay on track, and the best way to do that is to monitor our OWN behavior and not respond to those who insist, over and over again, that Murray acted alone. Just don't respond. It's remarkably effective. Or if you want to respond, take it to the "Murray acted alone" thread. See how easy that is? And much more peaceful than arguing. I have been sucked in, too, but not anymore!

For anyone? If you have made your point, and there are disagreements with it, then making the SAME point over-and-over is not a "discussion." It's just repetition and really doesn't do anything further to convince anyone. That little phrase, "agree-to-disagree" should be respected. It means . . . . it's time to move on. . . . . . . . .

Good luck, to us?

Vic

Well, I'm no longer on staff and I turned in the "wet noodle" along with my badge. LOL

What I am suggesting here (myself included) is self-control. If someone starts up that stuff again, just politely post the link to the "Murray acted alone" thread, and keep on topic. It's really quite easy to do, to "self-regulate?" Just a thought, but I hope it's taken seriously?

Peace,

Vic

We also should make an effort not to start too many similar threads with different titles. Some very informative threads have disappeared to back pages and that's unfortunate and that could be a reason why some newcomers are not up to speed on our investigation.

I agree, completely. In cases where that has already happened, maybe some could edit the URLs of the previous, related threads into their posts?

Also, I see no problem in people not being "up to speed," necessarily. The problem has been those folks posting in here in nearly every thread that there was NO conspiracy and Murray acted alone. Everyone has a right to an opinion, but there is a thread for "Murray acted alone." This is a forum to discuss conspiracy theories. . . . . . . That is what the I.U. is FOR. That there may have been (?) a conspiracy makes some folks very unhappy, and that is why there is this forum here so they don't have to enter if they don't want to? But if they do, then the endless posting that "there was no conspiracy" has derailed many threads. . .

I definately can and will adhere to this!

Thanks Victoria83!

I for one can atest, ignoring their harrassment and not directly posting an answer to them has worked for me.
