Michael Jackson WAS murdered: Death certificate amended by coroner after police investigation

Michael Jackson’s death has been officially ruled as murder, it was revealed today.
The cause of death on the 50-year-old’s death certificate has been amended to 'homicide' after months of speculation.
According to the document the King of Pop died from ‘acute Propofol intoxication’ due to an ‘intravenous injection from another’

On the original certificate issued on July 7 deputy coroner Cheryl MacWillie refused to give a cause of death.
However after further investigations, the certificate was amended and re-released in August by medical examiner Christopher Thomas. It now states the cause of death on 25th June 2009 as 'homicide'.

A source said that the Jackson family are 'keeping faith with the police', adding: 'We still feel that there is more than one person responsible for Michael's tragic death.

'Joe won't give up on getting justice for his son and a lawuit is his focus.'
The news comes after it emerged that

Dr Murray could be prosecuted for 'gross negligence' for his treatment of the pop star during his last hours, police sources said.

Murray, a cardiologist, was with the star at his rented Los Angeles mansion in June and tried to revive him when he was found unconscious.
Murray already has a Houston law firm building his defence. Police affidavits say he admitted loading up Jackson with Propofol and other drugs in the hours before his death.
Miranda Sevcik, a spokeswoman in Houston for Murray and his lawyer, Edward Chernoff, said Friday the doctor had no comment and reiterated that Murray neither prescribed nor administered anything that should have killed Michael Jackson.

Jackson died while under Murray's care as the singer prepared for an ambitious concert schedule.

The district attorney's office is waiting for Los Angeles police to

A spokeswoman for the district attorney's office, however, denied that any decisions have been made.

'We have been working closely with the Los Angeles police during the pendency of this investigation,' spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said.

'There is no case before us at present and no final decision has been made.'

To prove a charge of involuntary manslaughter, authorities must show there was a reckless action that created a risk of death or great bodily injury.

If a doctor is aware of the risk, there might also be an issue of whether the patient knows that risk and decided to take it.

A large number of witnesses have been interviewed by police, including those who were present during Jackson's last days and those who worked with him in preparation for his comeback concert, 'This Is It'.

Authorities have also lined up medical expert witnesses who will testify about the normal standard of care in a situation such as Jackson's and will give opinions on why Murray's actions constituted gross negligence, the source said.

The police investigation was substantially completed by

I am confused... isn't this something we already knew?
I saw the documents on that page (and I am amazed on how easy seems to be getting that kind of documents, provided those are real), but we have known MJ's death is a murder from several months now.
Can somebody give me more details on this "new" information? :?

It's amazing how this document appeared-I'm sure it leaked if it's genuine.
So homicide it is.Remaining to see if it's manslaughter or murder.

Please note: American 'Homicide' is different to British 'Murder'

Homicide can be with intent or WITHOUT intent... the latter being what I believe has been attached to Michaels case - inwich case it is refered to as Manslaughter in Britain.

This article is trying to make something out of nothing. It is trying to sensationalize info we already know. His death was ruled homicide, not murder. One does not necessarily mean the other. Not necessarily.

this is wrong info. why the media are taking old news and acting like its new is beyond me homicide does not not just mean murder. it means death at the hands of another be that murder and accident and negligence. the death certificate was changed to homicide when the COD was announced around september.

Oh my God :weeping:. This is way too much, to actually read all of this is killing me. I don't get it, if his death is ruled a murder, why would Murray only be charged with manslaughter? Wouldn't he get something worse like 1st degree murder?

I don't get it, if his death is ruled a murder,
because officailly it hasnt been ruled a murder its been ruled a homicide which means death by someone elses hand it doesnt mean murder and nothing else ie manslaughter.ppl are confusing the terminology

For me this death certificate is fake. The certificate has been updated or otherwise made by the stamp is dated January 8, 2010. And the first certificate that was released last year? It is no longer valid? Who authorized the release of this certificate? Family? I've never seen it happen. This certificate came in the "News Of The World" and not on the official site.

We can see that the certificate contains the cause of death and it would be a homicide. How does a death certificate may say that the cause of death was homicide, if there was no criminal case, but only an investigation/inquiry? The criminal case was not opened. Homicide is a crime and can not be said that there was crime after a criminal case. The coroner has no authority to say that someone committed a crime.

It's just my opinion...

The first death certificate had under cause of death "deferred" because they didn't have enough info to say what the cause of death is. The only thing that is different is that since they now know it is homicide, they put that instead of deferred.

homicide doesnt always mean a crime was committed from googling.doesnt always means charges will be filed. it the coroners job to determine COD he determined the death came from the hands of another (legal term for homicide) because mj could not have done that to himself.he bases his decision based on the medical evidence.the police take that decision and go from there as the COD is a key peice of evidecene. if someone dies unless its from obvious illness/oldage the police always open an investigation and depending on the COD it goes from there
