Macro Jacksons (LOLGraphics) *mature language*

I never told anyone this , but I went grocery shopping last friday with my family and I noticed music in the background.. it was Michael! The song was The Way You Make Me Feel! Then my brother nudged me and I felt embrassed because the cashier was wondering what he was doing!

 i love it when people give me random confused lools :D

hey guys today I was moochin through the literature and found some awesome papers from the last 2 months that discuss a posible candidate region for vitiligo and some very promising gene leads

heehee vitiligo cannot hide scientists are comming at ya!! :jump:

the linkage group locus is in chr 4.

gene candidates are PDGFRA (platelet derived growth factor receptor) mutations in it segregate with vitiligo. This was significant for families with vitiligo and not significant for random controls.

another candidate (also within the candidate region) called DDR1 (collagen IV receptor) this binds integrin CCN3 which binds melanoctyes and makes ure there are adhered to the basement membrane of cells) this also as mutations that segregate with vitiligo significantly :dancing: " In conclusion, we propose DDR1 as a susceptibility gene for vitiligo, possibly implicating a defective cell adhesion in vitiligo pathogenesis"

squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

:jump:

its a start, most of the lit refers to treatments

Seven!!!
How are you?

hehe I'll give you one later;)
I'm on my brother's computer at the moment so I can't access the story.

heehee you know it!

genes involved in vitiligo tink

scientist = :poke: @ vitiligo

:D

:lmao: I love the way you simplify things Katie

I don't know Iron Chef but MasterChef takes lots of amatuer chefs and they compete against each other over several weeks until there is just one left. They are judged on their food and they get eliminated if they cook badly.

Yeah Katie explained it to me. Iron Chef is when a hot shot restaurant chef picks one of five (used to be four) iron chefs to compete against in Kitchen Stadium  Then a panel of three food critics decides on the winner, and the winnder only gets braggin rights, no cash or anything

I get worried when I write more serious stories as they are not as fun as others but I can't help what forms in my brain.

I was concerned that Baby's letter to Michael would upset people.

Awww, sweetie, no need to get worried. I'd rather take these sweet and simple plots than some of the far-fetched stories I've read other places. I love yours and Katie's stories :huggy: The letter part was beautiful, almost brought tears to my eyes in a good way :)

I heard "Rock With You" the other day  One of my all-time favorites. I was browsing through the beauty aisle just singing along to myself :) Early on it would break my heart to hear one of his songs out in public (especially the ballads) because I wouldn't be expecting it and Id need to mentally prepare myself to hear his music. But I'm so much better with that now.
