Why promote whoever that Jason guy is? There's no point in attributing that track to him, it could be anyone including a bad compression of Michael's vocals.

I'm sure they new what we would think before it was released if they had to bring in audio experts to make claims that bit was Michael. They don't care what we think. We need to make them care! Please see the thread Sony's Ultimatum.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing regarding a song that is being streamed on the official Michael Jackson website called Breaking News. This song is billed in Sony's press release as being a taste of the new Michael Jackson album. The lead vocals on this song are clearly not 100% Michael Jackson - any long term fan will tell you that. The fanbase are up in arms about this insult to Michael's legacy.

I know Sony are maintaining that they are indeed Michael's true vocals, but do they have any proof of this? If so, make it public and release it to the fans. Otherwise, the song Breaking News along with any other track with questionnable vocals need to be removed from the album before it's too late. Otherwise the record will become a complete joke. I for one won't be buying it unless I am 100% certain that every note sung is by the real Michael Jackson, and not some imposter.
 
How do we contact the estate? We need to act fast to stop Michael's legacy from being damaged.

There is NO WAY I will buy the album if ANY of the Cascio tracks are on it.
 
I find it absolutely disgusting that Sony Music/Michael Jackson's Estate think for one moment that anyone believes that the song "Breaking News" is sung by Michael Jackson.

It is an insult to anyone's intelligence and an affront to Michael Jackson's legacy.

Please, God, tell us this is a joke.

If the song is released on the new album, Michael, along with any other fake songs, your company will be destroyed.

Do the right thing, act fast and manage this crisis.

YOU WILL BE SUED BY EVERYONE IF THESE SONGS APPEAR ON THE ALBUM FOR FRAUD.
 
I take it some of you will be boycotting sales of all Michael's albums that contain vocals that are not 100% his? i.e - 'Off The Wall', 'Thriller', 'Bad', 'Dangerous' etc? After all, other people sang vocals/backing vocals on these albums. If you're obsessed that everything has to be 100% MJ, then you better burn all your albums.

If you get your wish, and this album is a flop, there will never be another album release with new material. Yeah keep doin this guys..keep calling them keep emailing them keep hating them but for what???For releasing a new Michael Jackson album,something this fan community has been waiting for ages??I don't wanna offend anyone here but the truth is ITS MICHAEL on Breaking News,get over it and if you can't then stop doing this shit then atleast be little patient..It's not helping anyone,you guys are not keeping Michael's legacy alive,this way you are gonna kill it forever.I really can't believe that you guys think Sony paid 250 million $ for fake songs.If it was so easy then any other bum on the street would be a millionaire.And for the record Sony is a billion $ company and if we guys unite then also our net income won't be a billion $$.They know business better than us and they know what can happen if they release any fake MJ track.If this album doesn't work out or if Sony looses interest in this project and doesn't promote it properly then again fans will complain about it.So I would say just be patient,buy the cd,,enjoy it and take a chill pill cuz hating Sony wouldn't keep Michael's legacy alive forever.And as far as Breaking NEws is concerned I think the track for this song was too raw and thats why soo much polishing has been on it,thats why all this confusion is happening.Ya one thing is for sure Sony should have never released it this way,they could have just released it on CD but not as a first single.Another Day was the perfect choice for the first single..I am still wondering why they choosed Breaking NEws over Another Day :doh:

there is no problem with backing vocals or chorus performances not by Michael, but replacing the lead voice with an impersonator is just wrong and I will not buy an album with features tracks like this.

Lead voice has to be Michael Jackson and there is no way we fans destroy his legacy, when Michael isn't even the one who's singing

I respectfully disagree. The difference with the other albums having vocals other than Michael Jackson's is the fact that he was involved in the process. He had control over the decisions being made. Even if he didn't have 100% control, he certainly had more control then than he does now.

If this album flops because of this mess and they do not release anything else, it won't bother me at all. I'd rather get nothing for free than something for money.

The legacy cannot be ruined because the legacy has already been well documented. What Sony and the estate does/did since Michael died cannot negate what Michael did while he was alive.

Its all about money, plain and simple. Companies have gotten away with much worse for more money.
