His voice was like that because of a lung problem.

EDIT: I didn't know this was referring to the softness of his voice.

This is a tabloid story. That doctor never treated or even met Michael. I think that it's very unprofessional for "doctors" to attempt to diagnose anything without actually meeting and talking to the patient.

yeah i get what you mean, doctors often give an ansewr to every question asked because that's their job. Maybe this doctor is full of it , but nevertheless im still very curious as to WHY his voice was always high pitched and why puberty never really affected his voice as it would to most people. anyone know?
 
I think this is bullcrap. How would this doctor know since he never even met Michael? Michael's voice changed as he went from childhood to adulthood. Although his voice remained a bit on the high side, that's the way his voice was I think. And it got deeper than it was when he was a kid. Also his voice was especially deeper when he gave that brief speech at the Superbowl in 1993 before the "Heal The World" performance and also right before the 1995 VMAs performance of "Dangerous". That wouldn't have happened if this article was true. This article was just written to get people picking about Michael's voice and probably asking the same old tired and worn out questions again about him being the biological father of his kids IMO. Personally I think they need to leave him alone and let him rest in peace. Enough is enough. The article and that book are nothing but a total waste of time, money and paper at this point IMO.

His voice actually changed after puberty.
MJ actually talked about why he speak like kids in the second $hmuley book.
He spoke deeper in recent years.

When I hear some of the brothers talk I think they sound a lot like Michael.

I guess they will never leave him alone...
 
Yes it is trash indeed. Michael's voice did in fact crack and you could hear it in some of the songs he did in the early 70s. Plus, his brother Jackie also has a soft voice, so it's genetic..

P.S. This may sound odd, but Michael's voice is actually not THAT soft, it's just that because he wanted to remain childlike, during the late 70s and early to mid 80s, he chose to talk that way. If you hear him talk at the 86 grammys for we are the world, it's actually kind've uncomfortable, cuz he was trying to hard to sound soft, and it came out ridiculous. But since the 90s came about, he dropped it, and all of a sudden there was a dramatic change in how he sounded in public. He just let his voice go, naturally. Ofcourse he's still soft spoken, but not as bad as the press and he made it seem back then..
 
Put that QUACK Piece of *** doctor on Blast. He is just using MJ name for publicity_ to be seen.
It worked I guess. If he didnt use the name of Michael no one would pay any damn attentiong to
him/her. Im so tired of this BS. Of course Michael's voice changed over the years you can even tell
what era by his voice in most cases and he deliberalty spoke in a higher softer tone when in public.
He even speaks about that himself. In the 90's and 20's he started speaking more in his natural voice
Michael had a vry wide voal rance and could even sing very LOW barratone _so how does that fit unto
his theory that his voice was changed to high forever, he didnt even do ANY reasearch on Michael
Um Michael also had Body hair another wrong theory of his.

There is nothing about his voice to even suggest such a Theory. Just like the Quacks in negative
MJ documentaries that stated he had 10 nose jobs and bleached his skin white _ They NEVER
even mentioned a scientific diagnoses of maybe he had vitilogo _ like Michael claimed WHY ???

HE IS SELLING A BOOK according to the article and using MJ's name for publicity

I agree. God gave Michael an incredible vocal gift. People are still jealous of Michael, even in death. They need to focus on their own lives and then maybe they wouldn't be so bored to come up with these lame theories.

Funny how in no 'press release' this supposed Doctor's name is being published. This is the second or third article on this supposed subject- wouldn't you think an upcoming book release would feature the name of the author on every bloody street corner of the internet, so to speak?

No medical professional in their right mind would publish something about chemical castration with the known autopsy results.

Whoever writes these articles, aaah, try again. No male currently has MJ's vocal range? Puleaze, check out a few conservatories and you will find people with kind of range.

Michael's timbre on the other hand is something unique- and that came through lifelong work, dedication and certainly practice.
Michael was a wonderful tenor with amazing control in the head voice. Has the author of that article never heard an actual countertenor? And even they today are not 'castrated'. Silliness.

Michael's voice matured as any other voice- it doesn't mean that he had very unique qualities to it.
If you don't hear a maturing voice throughout his recordings, you need your hearing checked. :doh:

His 80ies recording sound very much that of a young man- compare that to later recordings such as "We've had enough". People didn't even believe MJ's natural speaking voice- like in the O2 announcement. By the way, I loved his natural speaking voice. "It's an adventure, a great adventure, nothing to be nervous about."

Funny, fans can even identify the approximate decade of recordings i.e. earlier recording vs. later recording- and some jokester is stirring the pot with 'voice never changed'. Nice try.

By the way, there are a few existing recordings of the last known Vatican castrato- and while those recordings are painful because they are of horrible quality and the singer is obviously in rough shape- Michael's tenor has absolutely nothing to do with the voice of a castrato.

Edit: Oh, did find the (last) name. Branchereau? Better branch out and ask a few vocal coaches, audiologists or just someone who might know something about it.

On topic, though, I can smell the bullshit from here. Don't even entertain it--the guy's trying to sell a book because he's a sh*t 'doctor'. That much should be obvious--what kind of legitimate doctor puts his name on the line making up things of that sort, conveniently after the subject in question is dead, without an iota of actual evidence to back up his claim? As of right now, it's not even a theory--it's a hypothesis, and a sh!tty one at that. There is nothing to support his claims, nor will there ever be, because it is simply false. He's looking to make a quick buck off impressionable idiots, who in my humblest opinion, deserve to be duped if they dare entertain such things. I hope he realizes this will be detrimental to his career in the long run...or maybe he just can't sink any lower than this, and that's why he's doing it.
