I don't see him going away easily either, BUT he definitely was planning on using those registered trademarks. I'm not sure he will be able to get around that, IF it's true that the trademarks will be transferred to the Estate.

He was BRAGGING about having a SATELLITE ESTATE, because he would have control of those registered trademarks. I'm not sure, but that does not seem likely now.

I can tell you...regardless of WHO has control of HTW I will not give a PENNY to that charity. EVER.

I am just sad for Michael's children. Again, their money will be used to fix Katherine Jackson greed-motivated mess.

Michael Jackson is the only person during my life time who really tried to "Heal the World".
He deserves a lasting charitable memorial.
So, I will continue to pray for the best outcome
for the "Heal the World Foundation". :angel:
I pray it becomes a charity Michael's children will be proud to continue.

HTWF...will NEVER in a million years get another red cent from my wallet...if Michael wanted his version of this charity revised he would of done it HIMSELF and NOT fought to have it shut down...how the estate can in good conscience settle with a crazy fake idiot like Johnson is beyond me...NO MJ fan that I KNOW WILL EVER GIVE A DIME TO THIS CHARITY or support anything that they do or sell. Johnson has already given this charity a BAD rep...when she stole from grieving fans...she killed it.

if what we have read is true then other than mann sueing johnson etc there is no way he can do anything.johnson has back shafted him and joined forces with the estate so to speak. The estate now has full control and man was only in with johnson so he could work with her if she won the right to use mjs name etc.but now shes handed everything to the estate.mann has nothing

Exactly! I'm not shocked by the outcome at all. Of course I don't want a shaddy character like Mann to be asscociated with Michael's business matter. But, I don't see the Estate as the knight who guard Michael's legacy at all cost.

I guess this pretty much shows what the Estate sees in Michael. He's a product now. Their priority is always profit driven. They never care about what we think or what Michael would have wanted.

I'm sick of Mann. At the same time, I'm disheartened by decisions made by the Estate.

Well, I'm glad that the Estate has control now, but I'm NOT happy with the crazy stalker Johnson still being involved with MJ's charity and because of that will not support it.

For those who say this is "not shocking," I will disagree. it's utterly shocking! This was a sure-win case for the Estate. Johnson never spoke to Michael, and they had no written correspondence. Plus, she apparently gets "communications from angels," and that just doesn't SOUND good. Angels were telling her to steal Michael's image and logo and brands? That is NOT good, and any court would have seen through it. She had no proof at all. And we all KNOW about Mann, right?

I'm thinking now that there must be something terribly ugly behind the scenes. "Happily working with Branca?" WTF is going ON??? The Estate could have easily WON!

Yeah, he needed Johnson's registered trademarks in order to LEGALLY sell any Michael Jackson related products. That's "probably" the ONLY reason he got involved with Johnson in the first place.

In my opinion, the only charity he's concerned with is the "Charity of Howard Mann." I bet he's pissed. LOL!

I wonder how much money the estate plans to give to the charity. Will the whole 20% be funneled through this charity and then distributed to charities that actually do charitable work? And, how much will the Board of Directors be paid?

Same here, I would never believe HTWF as long as Johnson get involved.
I am also wanting to know where Mann, Joe and Randy going to fit in.
Although I am not suprised that the estate only saw MJ as a product but I am still disappointed.
The whole case is ridiculous and I am disappointed that the esate back off. Maybe they just don't want things to be ugly.
I hope they won't back off on Mann's case.
Still, I feel so sorry for Michael. This whole mess is unbelivable. I just wish PPB good luck.
They will seem to have a hard life as MJ's kids.

I don't really know all the details behind the scenes. I don't know if the Estate is forced to make a compromise (it doesn't feel like it though given they reached a settlement relatively fast). The reason I'm not shocked because I don't see the Estate as the fighters who will do anything to safeguard Michael's legacy. They run the Estate like any good businessman will run a business. It's about cost. It's about benefit. It's about profit. Bottom line, it's about money. The Estate has done a good job in re-negotiating better terms for the outstanding financings. That goes hand in hand with money. Financially, the Estate has made many great decisions. So, may be the Estate does not want to get involved in another costly legal battle? Who knows? One thing I observed is that it's never about honoring Michael's memory.

I guess it depends.. I know some charities where the board members dont gets paid and then I know of some board members of charities that are getting paid. Then there might be some adminstration costs.

I hope now the estate will manage and supervise the donations as in WHERE the money goes (if ppl are even willing to contribute lol). I hope Johnson will not have financial control

The only "hope" I still have is that I know Branca is a real shark. Without being a fan (apologies to some, ;)), I think he is doing the best for the Estate. Well, that's what I WANT to believe anyway.

I believe that ANOTHER problem for the Estate is having to fight the Jackson family at EVERY turn. In my opinion, it put's the Estate of Michael Jackson in a "tight" spot when they have these CONTINUED battles with the MOTHER of the deceased.

Seriously, I do HOPE TMZ "got it wrong." Not only was this a sure win for the estate, but thanks to Johnson/Mann, HTW is tainted now. I can't imagine any fans would donate to it if Johnson is involved. . . . . . and as for the general public, who knows? If they do any background research at all before donating, they'd donate ELSEWHERE.
