Britney Spears

I feel she is being forced and I just don't feel people are looking out for her well being. She should have time to rest enjoy life and be with her children as well as continue to recover.

Britney Spears' New Concert Tour: Should You Go? (Answer: Hell Yeah!)

How do I know this? Because last night I was among just a handful of people invited to watch the pop princess' first—and very private—dress rehearsal of her upcoming Femme Fatale tour.

Before I give ya some of the highlights, just let me say that if you don't have tickets yet, run and get them now.

Why? Read on for scoop…

The show opens with a video of Spears in a sparkly leotard (one of many skimpy outfits that shows off her back-in-shape bod) being chased by cops through an industrial landscape. And yes, Britney's brandishing a gun. Think Salt meets Charlie's Angels.

The song list includes more than—ready for this?—20 songs. She starts with "Hold It Against Me," followed by, well, everything, including "…Baby One More Time," "I'm a Slave 4 U," "Toxic," "Gimme More," "(Drop Dead) Beautiful," "Big Fat Bass" and "Till The World Ends."
Spears covers Madonna's "Burning Up" while straddling a gigantic electric guitar. She sings Rihanna's "S&M" in a flamboyant motorcycle gear (denim, leather, studs, etc.).

Footage of a slightly older, grizzly faced fellow in what appears to be some sort of Cold War radio transmission bunker is shown throughout the show. He says things like, "Bring your best game because tonight you and I are dancing a vicious dance," and asks, "What man are you bringing to his knees?"

Other video highlights include shots of completely naked men (just butts—no full-frontal, people!) and her male dancers in what can only be described as S&M leather gear and toys, including facemasks and nipple clamps.

All of her dancers—male and female—help keep the energy (a lot of it sexual!) going with gyrations, contortions, the aforementioned nakedness and lots of sweating. Special shout-out to Marco Da Silva—holy ridiculousness of tattooed muscles!

During "I Wanna Go," a bunch of us were brought on stage to dance with Britney. Yes, I can say I danced on a stage with Britney Spears! And so can my pals from Pink is the New Blog, BreatheHeavy.com, Just Jared and Ellen K. from Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM morning show, among others. Who else was there? Spears' hottie boyfriend Jason Trawick (he even got on stage during "How I Roll" to be tied up and straddled by his girlfriend), dad Jamie and Brit's two adorable sons, Sean and Jaden.

The finale is insane. I won't tell you exactly what happens, but it includes big, white angel wings.

There's so much more to see and hear. Spears sings, dances and gives you some of her best work ever. Like I said, get your tickets now!
Now we want to hear from you. You going to see Brit in concert? Chime in below.

Let's see how it goes this tour. I really wish it is something great. Lucky for Britney. :) And who is the director of the tour?

Brit's bodyguard is amazing :hysterical::hysterical:
more videos

Good on Brit for singing live! Really awesome to hear her voice without all the tricks. :)

Watch new video I wanna go. I think it is MJ tribute at the and. I like it

I really liked the video. She really seemed to be having fun again in this video.
I loved the Thriller ending and the randomness of certain scenes. (I happen to love things like that lol)
Appariantly there's a lot of underlying meanings in this video as well.

I love this video so much. It's definitely the best video from this era. Gotta love the MJ reference. Seems Brit is still expressing her frustration with the paps and I don't blame her one bit. They won't leave her alone and totally took advantage of her during her darkest hour. Again, super fantastic video! So funny!

I love it!!! Britney looks gorgeous in the video and I just love the MJ reference like all of you

Incredible! I do like it very much. And I do wish that she is finally free again someday.

Lol, that was a very amusing video, especially the ending! I loved it. I think FF might be one of her better albums.

My favourite song from the album right now is:

Nice choice! I would like to hear that one as a single, but I doubt it will get released. Shame. My favorite track off of FF is "Gasoline". Makes me wanna shake my booty! :p

"How I Roll" reminds me of Janet's "Someone To Call My Lover". I don't know to explain it well, both just have a light and breezy feel to them.
Though Janet does nothing for me musically .. I have to admit I used to be crazy about her ''someone to call my lover'' back when I was a little kid.

For me, Britney is done. She doesn't have any affection for stage. No emotion, no energy. I'm very sad that the young cheerful Britney, the sunny girl ,that was kicking ass on the stage, is replaced by this disoriented creature, that can only circle around the stage with some hair flips here and there for variety. And that last album, boy, these annoying computer sounds.
Very bad Britney, you have turned yourself into a clear and brutal sign.
The way people are still buying that kind of records is telling me how low our new generation is.

I agree that her new material really pales in comparison to her old stuff, however, with all Britney has been through, can you really blame her for not having as much energy and devotion to her work as before? Our new generation does indeed have pretty low standards (Ke$ha, Gaga, Rihanna, et al), but none of those chicks have gone through the utter Hell Britney has been through, so they really get no sympathy for their mediocrity from me.

I think the whole issue with Britney's dancing has been addressed as potentially having to do with the medication she has to take, so how is that her fault? I don't mean to sound like Chris Crocker here, but people should really leave Britney alone.

I'd like to see Britney do more material along the lines of "Everytime," which is my all-time favourite song out of all the ones she's done. I don't know, even go back in time to her earliest solo work. I dunno, Femme Fatale just has no real feeling to it. The only song which really sticks out as decent is "Criminal," and even that's being a bit too generous. Although I liked the music video for "I Wanna Go," the song itself is nothing special. There is no feeling to any of the tracks in FF. They're all about sex, or having a good time. I know all of Britney's albums have a healthy dose of those type of songs in them, which is fine, but they also have more "human" songs to accompany them (i.e. "Sometimes" on ...Baby One More Time, "Lucky" on Oops, I Did It Again, "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" on Britney, "Everytime" on In The Zone). The only albums which had nothing of the sort were her last three, and they're notably lacking compared to her earlier work. I'll grant Circus a bit of a break because it did have "Womanizer," which was a good song with a good message, and she didn't kill her voice completely with the computer stuff, but as compared with the aforementioned albums, the last three just don't make the cut.

I know it's all just an effort to stay current and fit in with Gaga, Ke$ha, etc. but Britney's so above them, she doesn't need to fit in with them (and for that matter, neither does Xtina). Britney needs to go back to sounding like Britney, in my opinion, and come out with a great album that redeems her career, because the last three have been awful.

If she doesn't fill fit, she should stay home and take her medication.
It is the same situation with Whitney Houston. Both got a great deal of pressure in their lives, but public can't wait years and give them excuses. When you can't do something right, better don't do it at all.

I think Britney's last three albums have been the best of her career. She makes fantastic pop music but always manages to be herself. Just sayin'. I think we should let Britney do what she wants and if someone doesn't like her, it's as easy as not going to her concerts or buying her music. She's earned the right to do as little or as much as she wants in my book (after everything and everyone trying to destroy her). Brit isn't twisting arms to support her.

Well, you're certainly entitled to your piece, but I think her previous releases had more humanity in them. The last three have mostly been pretty generic, pretty much nothing more than party music, in my humble opinion. Of course, her fans will always stay by her, but I would personally like her to do more music along the lines of "Everytime" (which has to be the best and darkest Britney song to date) instead of blending in with the current pop scene.

Agree with you, I'm not bashing her new work, I enjoy FF as a whole but it's due to songs like Criminal, Gasoline and How I Roll, I can see that she wanted to make a ''feel good album'' but like you I really miss her old stuff, maybe I'm biased about her older stuff, but I just love her early 00s stuff, cuz that is what I grew up with. I also agree about her (or Xtina) not having to compete with the likes of Rihanna, Gaga, Ke$ha or Katy Perry, but unfortunately in this industry you always have to ''prove'' urself and will be compared to newer/younger ''artists''

i wish her well....Luv Brit but I think she should rest for awhile her tours/performance got rave reviews. I feel bad for her....God bless Brit?
