Michael Jackson artwork to be donated to L.A. Children's Hospital - by Katherine and MJ's kids

Prince is in his sunglasses again. The kids have grown. The Estate can't say anything right now because the gift was already given.

What does that say on the picture, the writing? The children look well.

Prince wrote a message to hospital on the pic but I can't make out what he says.

"To the wonderful children and families who are loved and cared for by Childrens Hospital LA.
On behalf of our dear and greatly missed father Michael.
We love you all and wish you all to be in the best of health and have a very happy life,
With love from our family

Prince Jackson"

Oh that message is so sweet.

Ivy about the Q&A for Brett, my thing is that he is going to say the same thing that he said before. We would not really get any truth from it. Of course he will say it belongs to him, that he is carrying out Michael's wishes, bla bla. It would be good to hear from the Estate instead. Maybe others might feel differently, though.

I dont know what to say about this.. Ive got mixed feelings about this. It IS a great gesture BUT at the same time If this is illegal then it is just plain wrong´and I hope the kids are not dragged into stuff they really dont know anything about.

Thank you. I had a hard time reading it and could only get some of the words.

I do so love seeing Michael's children.

I wouldn't expect a direct statement from the Estate. just saying.

Really Vici? I wonder if he did not want to keep it since it has his name. That would be something I would want to keep myself if my name was Blanket.

When I see LaToya next to Paris like that ...

I don't you what you feel but I feel like throwing up right on Latoya's two faced face, and seeing how clueless Paris is makes me feel sorrier for her than I already do. As for Latoya this just shows she's got no conscience, none at all

Each chair had special meaning for each of the kids? Maybe it's just me but is Paris looking a little more like Michael?

I think that Michael would be proud of this loving gesture by his children. It remains to be seen if the adults involved have ulterior motives, but the children are trying to brighten the day of sick children and their families. I'm happy that Prince, Paris and Blanket are following in their father's foot steps.

I love this idea, but I don't trust the intention of BLS and his mother (sadly) in this case. These sre probably some of the same pieces they tried to sell off for millions, but after the media and Estate scrutinity about the ownership of the art, they've found some other route to dispose them and hide their shady activities.

I hope I'm proven wrong, and that this is a sincere act of giving on their part. Somehow I doubt it though, considering their past actions there has to be a catch in this somewhere for them.

Yes, its true AND I totally missed that the chair Paris unveiled is called "Paris's magic vixen chair".. according to Brett, Michael wanted it to be a jewelery box.

Video of the ceremony:

So if Michael titled these paintings after his children, shouldnt they keep them instead? :s Hmmm

You mean keep them for themselves instead of donating them for a nobel cause. ?
but actually I think they should do with them whatever they want with no judgment placed on them either way.

Paris looks like a combination of a young LaToya and Debbie to me. I do think that she has Michael's eyes, hers are just a different color. So yes I see it also.

am I the only one that is now highly confused about this whole situation?? If they can legally give those pics to the Childrens Hospital..then I am happy that they did it...BUT..if they were donated to try and go under the estate's radar then I am highly disappointed onece again that these kids were dragged into a mess. They are getting older and more beautiful everyday...I just hope it all works out thats all.

Hmmmm....I've just remembered the story* about the entrepreneur who donated the BLS 'Malibu rock' sculpture to a charitable cause ( a college) and who claimed the value of the donation ($500K) as tax relief against federal tax. I wonder if there is any tax liablity if you are gifted a large number of valuable paintings, and whether it might be helpful to offset some of that gift against tax...just hypothetically.

These paintings( in total) were valued at 87.7 million, but the lifetime gift allowance is 'only' $5 million, so the rest of the gift is presumably taxable at 35% ($29 million appx)....unless you can offset some of that. Perhaps we will see more charitable gifts of paintings.
