Michael - The Great Album Debate

Wow. It's awesome to reread old posts where future Cascio believers 'attack' those who believed in "Can't get you out of my mind" several years ago.

- they're deaf
- they're nuts
- what do they like in Michael Jackson? can't be his voice obviously
- they're just longing for new material

History repeats. They just switched sides.

What was Cant Get You Out of My Mind?

The very first fake track I can remember. You find it on Youtube, just add "Michael Jackson" ...

I can understand why some people were fooled before. We were all expecting a new album. Every year it was rumoured that a new album was going to be released. Back then it was rumoured that the new album was going to be called "7even".

Some tracks suddenly appeared on the net labeled as Michael Jackson. Among them were "Can't get you out of my mind", "Mamacita" and "Let me let go".

Until then, no one ever tried to fool people claiming that it was Michael Jackson. It was the very first time as far as I remember. So it was completely an unexpected scenario.

I would like to draw attention to something quite intriguing though that nobody seem to be bothered by. I asked this question a few months ago and nobody seemed to have seen the question: how come that "get out of my mind" and "beautiful girl" have quite similar string instruments, and even at moments the melody sounds similar, knowing that "beautiful girl" was released as a previously unreleased song after "get out of my mind". I am willing to accept that it is a coincidence, however, at the same time I understand why some people were fooled.

Since we already had those three fake songs in the past, people should be much more vigilant nowdays. Just saying.

It's the fact that these songs are released as official Michael Jackson songs that are making people hesitate in stating these songs are fake...

Bumper - the irony is that while the whole 7Even thing was nothing more than a rumour, there was actually a bootleg album released into the Asian market called 7Even, containing several MJ songs like Escape, Why and I Need You with 3T, a song by some other artist and several Malachi tracks. Some of his songs also made it onto that crappy 34 disc bootleg Ultimate Collection set. In fact, Jason even refers to that in his interview from October last year.

Yes, but I just draw attention to the fact that when those three fake songs were leaked on youtube, they were labeled as Michael Jackson in the first place. Even before leaking on youtube they were circulating among fans as MJ's songs. Only after it has been denied.

Yes, I am aware of that. i think that some fans back then were so frustrated to see that no album was coming out that they decided to make up one out of unreleased material. And during that time when they released the bootleg album, it was too late to remove the Malachi's tracks. The official denial came way too late.

Also, Malachi said in that interview that if he were to really Michael it up then people wouldn't be able to tell the difference. He failed miserably. The ultimate insult is that when he performed his tribute to Michael at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, he had already recorded the fakes with Cascio and Porte. As well as his own songs, he covered some of Michael's but I have not been able to find the video. Only clips of the parts where he does his own stuff at that show are available now. Despite his act of fraud, he still works as a police officer.

Same basic. No coincidence. Too similar. Intriquing, yes.

Bumper, the media in your post doesn't show up. I just see empty squares.

"Get Out Of My Mind" is a song by independant French artist Nicolas Piedra (artist name: Ayhnik) that was recorded in 2002. The song could be downloaded for free from a French independant artists network.

It was some ugly fan who took it and labelled it as "Michael Jackson". A lie planted and spread by a fan.
The song was most prominently featured on a Russian MJ fan site along with "Escape". That site claimed that the song would feature Ashanti and Ja Rule...

There was even a statement from the singer when he was informed that his song has been spread as from Michael Jackson.

It's total bullshit that the song would have anything to do with "Beautiful Girl".

I could bet that people like Grent who now call themselves experts didn't know this. But attacking a fan like me who has made threads about fakes years ago and has informed people about the Jason Malachi tracks "Mamacita", "Let Me Let Go" etc. since they started to circulate.

But yeah, we believers must be plain stupid...

My final advice: Never pigeonhole people like Grent did in his posting. Reality isn't black and white, it has colors...

Then someone should send them, along with an indepth covering letter, to every news organisation and investigative journalist going. Expose them for what they did.

decent media wouldn't print allegations. why? because it's illegal to do so.

Many believers were asking why would SONY do such a thing. More and more I believe that SONY has nothing from Michael or very, very, very few songs.

Since the turmoil that Michael had with SONY, I believe that he became extremely cautious and that he stored his songs far from SONY's claws. He gave the the unreleased tracks such as we've all heard on the Ultimate Collection and that was more or less about it.

What pushes me to believe that SONY has only few songs left is their desperate rush (oops) to buy those Cascio songs.

I don't believe Michael recorded almost nothing at all at his private studio and 12 whole songs at Cascio's. It's just not credible. There are also many outtakes. I believe that some outtakes must be more than awesome as he collaborated with some extremely talented musicians as A.R. Rahman. When you listen to A.R. Rahman's songs and then when you listen to the Cascio songs, there is no way on this Earth that Michael would plunge so deep into mediocrity after so many years of experience. Michael was so experienced that he could not deliver anything else but smashing hits, even if they were not radio friendly. I am not talking about radio friendly music here.

What SONY did in the past years prior to Michael's death was the worst thing to do -- releasing best ofs! I mean come on. Let's make, for example, a best of from BAD and leave only the non-hits out:

-BAD (a hit!)
-THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL (a hit!)
-LIBERIAN GIRL (a hit!)
-ANOTHER PART OF ME (a hit!)
-MAN IN THE MIRROR (a hit!)
-I JUST CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU (a hit!)
-DIRTY DIANA (a hit!)
-SMOOTH CRIMINAL (a hit!)
-LEAVE ME ALONE (a hit!)

oh yes, SPEED DEMON appears on MOONWALKER!

and I almost forgot JUST GOOD FRIENDS is a duet with a legend STEVIE WONDER!

Now, damn SONY, but MJ's albums were ALREADY greatest HITS!

Let's see some outtakes:

STREETWALKER - I don't know you guys but I would have jubilated to have that song back in the 80s
FLY AWAY - I even don't know why was that song removed. I'd instantly put it in place of I JUST CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU
CHEATER - I am not sure if this one is a BAD outtake, but again, it became a hit even if it had been kept in the vault for years.

Now, from 1987 (BAD album) till 2007, twenty years after Michael kept on with singing and recording, we have a shaky unrecognizable voice and crazy vibrato on those Cascio songs with clearly isnpired from previous tracks melodies and mediocre lyrics???? I just can't buy this.

Why don't we listen to the people whom Michael admired and therefore collaborated with, such as A.R.Rahman, listen to this talented composer and tell me if he is in the same ligue as the Cascio singer (I guarentee you, you'll enjoy these tunes more than the Cascio songs, so did Michael):

Why don't you fill them up? :D

I posted the links to "get out of my mind" by Aynik and a link to "beautiful girl" by Michael Jackson. The string instruments sound extremely similar. I was not focusing on the vocals, just the background meldoy played by string instruments. Could be guitar or a keyboard imitating a string instrument.

No need to call people's statements bullshit. I never said it had to do anything with it, I said it is intriguing. Now before calling someone's posts bullshit, listen to the songs first.

Is there even such a thing as decent media anymore?

that's another topic of discussion. what I was trying to say is that any criminal allegation such as fraud is defamation per se - automatic defamation in USA. No media would print such thing - saying the songs are fake- unless they want to be sued.

Then someone should send them, along with an indepth covering letter, to every news organisation and investigative journalist going. Expose them for what they did.

decent media wouldn't print allegations. why? because it's illegal to do so.

not to mention someone's currently challenging them in a court case which is the best thing any doubter could do in order to achieve their goal which is to uncover their so-called "truth" ...

I think you've forgotten about the thousands of stories written suggesting Michael is a child molester. Decent or otherwise, they've all done it.

No I haven't forgotten anything. Michael was investigated and charged with child molestation in a court of law/by law enforcement. They reported that. Repeating investigation and/or charges brought by law enforcement. reporting claims from deposition, court testimony isn't defamation.

Making, stating, publishing your own criminal allegations is defamation.

Don't compare apples and oranges.

You obviously have never read the Sun.

doesn't matter. question is simple : did they create the story on their own before any allegations? or did they portrayed Michael as guilty based on / after 1993 and 2003 allegations and law enforcement investigations?

Thats what i think, Michael hid the Best from Sony.

I can think of about 30 tracks off the top off my head that they should have access to. I think they were blinded by 12 contemporary tracks, and put faith in the Cascio's. Big mistake. Even now we have all 12 tracks, it is still not possible to find anything of Michael's that they can be compared to yet the Cupeta comparisons are staggering.

Ivy, I think that you have missed many articles in many newspapers then. Michael was portrayed worldwide as a paedophile by many newspapers and magazines wioth loads of pictures suggesting that Michael slept with all those boys. The newspapers of course were even not aware that the boys that tehy were showing were sometimes his nephews, or family or family's friends. I even don't need to mention the picture of Michael holding Avrizo's hand on the whole page and in colors.

Correct. They were accusing him of sleeping with boys the day after the Bashir documentary.
