Murray Trial - September 27 - Day 1 - Discussion Thread

Maybe Murray is treating Chernoff with something and that's why he can't finish sentences and can't keep a train of thought.

This expert may give evidence that propofol is ok in those doses, but is he going to say it's quite safe in those doses without safety equipment and it's ok to leave your patient alone!

Murray was probably crying cos his defence is so bad
I agree, that was HORRIBLE!

I definitely didn't expect it to be THAT bad.

Walgreen laid out his claims so nice and neat. You knew exactly what he was saying. You didn't have to guess or fill in the blanks. Then this fool get's up there and makes my head spin with his going nowhere nonsense.

I thought they couldn't bring Michael's past med. history. Why Chernoff has to talk about the treatments Michael received at klein's office.

They can talk about anything they wish. Remember, they don't have to prove it. It is the prosecution that has to disprove defense's "theories".

so many lies!
I talked to an anesthesiologist, every amount is a risk! And its a risk when administered by a doctor without proper training!

what a bad defense, the man could not held a good story he was mumbling and saying words twice, like he was making it up while he was talking :S

the pros had no problem with the defence using the medical records as they are a statement of fact. the judge stopped the talk of everything else. did they bring up demoral? cause that was a no no

That's because what Walgren said is supported by facts - whatever Chernoff said wasn't.

serioulsy those Dr Conrad Murray supporters are fools.. what the ****.. im pissed to see them there!!!!!!!!!!! Who are they???????????

Propofol isn't ok in ANY dose if it's administered out of a hospital setting and without proper equipment...failing to do CPR properly, or leaving your patient alone...This is just beyond unbelievable!

The prosecution did an AMAZING job with their opening statement. The powerpoint really helped keep everything in focus, and following logical sequence. The picture of Michael, although heartbreaking, is necessary to imprint upon the jury's mind. Overall, the impact of their argument was great.

The defence sucked--they only had a lone cardboard sign, and some diagrams no one really got to see well enough. The argument was weak (he drank it--do they really expect us to believe that?), the direction was thoroughly aimless, and the point was never really made. Murray's tears were also horrendously transparent: no doubt, he is mourning his defunct career, not feeling sorry for what he's done. I hope he rots in Hell.

Sorry if it's been spoken of before, but what do you guys think of that picture of Michael lying there? That day...

Dr. Murray's supporters are invited to go to hell... they are nothing but MJHaters who know nothing about the case!!!!!!!!!

Don't the experts say that in a normal sized man, a small amount of propofol would only result in sleep for a few minutes? So what would be the point of administering such small doses? And what would be the point of ordering 4 gallons of the stuff?

I know i'm biassed but Chernoff is rubbish - all over the place, jumping around from topic to topic. An hour in and we still don't know what happened that night - you get the impression they're trying to avoid it. I assumed such a high profile case would attract some hot-shot lawyer looking to make a name for himselff.

Yes elusive the Chernoff mentioned the demerol. Chernoff says it will be very scientific but to my recolection there is no scientific evidence for gross neglect.
Murrays tears were for himself as he showed no emotion whilst they talked about Michael.

Yes, he talked about demerol. he said one of the withdrawals is insomnia and Klein gave demerol to Michael on the 16th I'm not too sure about the date.

OMG that voice recording
I switched on without knowing what was on and I thought what is Joseph doing talking about TII? It's really scarry how similar the voice from the recording was to Joseph's!:bugeyed

It really pains me to relive that day again. And again, that recording. Michael, what happened to you and why wasn't it prevented?????

Seeing the picture and hearing that recording just makes you wish you could have helped Michael. He just wanted to do good things. I just don't want people to remember him like that.

Yes, in relation to Ak office visits , in relation to visits 3-4 times per week and receiving injections of 100, 200 0r 300 mgs?? demerol, some weeks 1000mgs in a week..an addiction specialist will speak on this .... Dr Waldman? One of the side effects of withdrawal will be mentioned as being absolute insomnia. for some patients, and CM did not know that MJ was being given demerol at all. He said AK addicted MJ to demerol.

He said MJ was suffering from demerol withdrawal on 18th and 19th when he was unable to perform and had chills.

Yes, the defense said Arnie Klein got MJ addicted to demerol and put a lot of blame on Klein

the defense mentioned how MJ would go and visist Klein to get some botox/restylane etc and everytime he did that, Klein also gave him demerol .....

To me, the recording was worse than the picture....I don't know how to explain it :(

I take it that the defence is carrying on after lunch. He hadn't finished had he?
