Michael - The Great Album Debate

You guys I think I'm gonna be a believer for a while.. just for a change in belief for a bit. :) Please accept my decision. I'll go back to being a doubter in a few weeks.

How can you change what you hear? Whether you hear Michael or you don't. And nothing can change that. It's got nothing to do with stubbornness or ego or whatsoever. I hear what I hear and it's not Michael.

I can only speak for myself, but normally if I have an opinion about something and someone comes and proves me wrong, then that's absolutely not a problem to me. Why would it? Truth is what counts here, not my personal ego.

Let's take the discussion in another direction. How would you react if, in the coming years, one of MJ's children confirmed the songs are authentic?

How I would react? Mmmm....I'd take a good look in the mirror and ask myself how I could be soooo wrong. And I'd be very confused, because I thought I knew Michael's voice and music when in fact I didn't. But of course that's all fiction. Reality is that this will never happen. I think in the coming years one of Michael's children probably will confirm the songs aren't sung nor written by Michael..:cheeky:

Guys, just wanna tell you I have a MJ films marathon today. Immersing myself in MJ's arts feels great. Feel rejuvenated. There is way too much distraction lately. Howard Weizmann (sp?) is right. One just needs to press play button to know how great Michael Jackson is. Dangerous on Films is such a treasure.

Hello,

The Cascio tracks might have worked toward Cupeta's et al. interests had they released all 12 tracks on a separate album in honor of MJ; sort of like a tribute to MJ's musical legacy, or music inspired by MJ. Some of the tracks aren't bad. Even Sony could have endorsed it and made a bunch of money without tarnishing MJ's catalog.

one link that I deleted was that chinese web site that listed all of the comparisons including unreleased songs. Such links - that allow to reach to unreleased songs when clicked on - is not allowed.

If the songs are uploaded to an account with ONLY Breaking News, Monster and Keep Your Head Up comparisons, will mods allow that to stay?

You guys mentioned it a 100 times already, I read it and agreed, but for the first time I really felt it:

"She's looking for a job and a finer place to stay."

Especially a finer place to stay. This is so incredibly weak. Think of Earth Song. Will you be there. We've had enough. Practically any song. A finer place to stay? Jesus christ. Never ever. Wow, I really feel her pain. She's looking for a finer place to stay, poor girl. I mean, it's not like she's going [to] Hollywood and is gonna sell her body. Just a finer place. For you and for me. A little finer.

Now, just tell me, MJ would have rewritten the lyrics, if he had recorded those songs properly. But since he just overdubbed some guidevocals ... oh come on.
 
Just (again) read initial reactions to BN on other forums.

When people started going "it's him now, it wasn't him on the first version, but it's him now and it's brilliant" regarding the change of the BN stream, it just shows how much they wanted to hear MJ ...

Same goes for "You'll hear MJ once you hear it in CD-quality" ...
 
:lol: The version of the song on that was streamed the day of the premiere is basically 100% identical to the album version. I don't know of any difference. The vocals sound the same.

But don't tell me it's not allowed to post a link which CAN direct to something unreleased, because this would mea no youtube links or any video sites.

Perhaps if such swift action had been taken by this community with regards to the Estate and Sony when the album came out, then we wouldn't be in this mess now.

I did not listen to the alleged 'first version', but it was said that quite soon after the premiere they streamed a 'clearer mix'. It might have had to do with data-compression rate only. Or maybe it even was the servers getting less demand over time allowing for the streams to come in better quality since less people consumed the same amount of bandwidth.
