^ he had ill lungs I think. Voice wasn't at very top in LA 89. He had still voice in shape in 1987 leg and 1988 beggining. (Of course it was always amazing, but I mean he got ill in 1988 and it was even worse in 1989 I think)

Grammy sounds way better for me. He had better voice around that time. He wasn't sick yet. About LA, I understand the recording could be pitched up a bit, but still, MJ sounds a bit like chimpmunk there. Not very good :/ That's why LA isn't my fave.

How can you compare an amateur recording with a pro recording? It's obvious that the pro sounds better... But that doesn't mean it is the best one!

I'd say we should be reading more reports on this by the end of this month and then by next month we should have an official announcement of some sort. And then by the end of May or early June, we should be seeing stuff released and whatnot.
I mean, I don't know if that's how it's gonna happen but I'd like it to be that way. Oh well, like somebody else said it, since we waited so long for this I suppose we can wait a couple of months longer. After all, if the material is good, who cares...

They announced MICHAEL album on November 12, 2010. It was released on December 10, 2010. This one will be the same. If they have plans to release the album on August 31, 2012 the announcement will be early August or late July 2012.

L.A. 1989 is on my wish list. It was already edited for a home release, but it was shelved in 1989 by MJ or Sony at the last minute.
He looked cool during that night, his voice was AWESOME from the snippets I've seen and it was the last concert of the tour. Enough reasons to release this show on Bluray, this show was filmed on film by the way.

The logo doesn't bother me so much. My concern is the quality and quantity of what they will release. I feel we have to have unreleased songs from that time that almost or were considered for the album. Remixes are okay as long as it is a few. The dvd of the tour is a must I think. I think if anything I will be disappointed if there is no dvd of the tour. It's the one thing I feel everyone wants the most from this.

If people are just "tolerating" the remixes, then what's the point in having them on the album at all? If they don't have enough unreleased songs, then I'd still rather hear Michael just talking about his hair or something. lol
The only way I'd be interested in buying remixes is if they can actually make the songs better than the originals. But I doubt that's possible, so... At least on Thriller 25, Michael had some artistic input. But if they're gonna give us a Kanye West version of Smooth Criminal, then Kanye should release it on HIS album for HIS fans, not Michael's. I'm not interested in any other artist's take on Michael's songs, especially now that Michael is no longer here to give his approval.

I believe that is just rumor as far as I've aware. I've asked pretty experienced persons about that.
Only thing that could make me a bit believe that are high quality snippets on DVD ''The One''.

Indeed, those snippets were extremely clean and detailed. Compare that with the Yokohama footage on the same disc.
L.A. footage also was used for the Brace Yourself video.
L.A. 1989 will be released eventually. The whole show was recorded with high quality equipment. Evidence enough.
