Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

If people are just "tolerating" the remixes, then what's the point in having them on the album at all? If they don't have enough unreleased songs, then I'd still rather hear Michael just talking about his hair or something. lol

While we are at it I'd love to hear "Groove of Midnight" in full. Michael's voice is just angelic in it!

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

Any guesses on the unreleased songs?

Here are mine:

- Don't Be Messin'
- Groove of Midnight
- Michael McKeller
- Tomboy (remember during the '93 deposition how he started moving his head after hearing the name of this song, kind like 'oh yeah, that one!' *gets the beat playing in his head*)
- Chicago 1945
- What You Do To Me.

The last two were re-worked during the Invincible sessions, along side with Cheater.

Groove of Midnight is a demo for the Siedah Garret song... So I don't think it will be ever released...

I want to hear:

Don't Be Messin Around
Al Capone
Hot Fever
Tomboy
Buffalo Bill

Shooting estate, shooting Bieber, what's this with all that macho talk, are you guys sexually frustrated or something?

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

You know, since they made a new deal with Pepsi to celebrate Bad's 25th anniversary, it would be nice if they released all the ads Michael made for Pepsi as bonus footage on the DVD/Blu-ray.

I am looking forward to see what we will get for Bad 25! Something I made today:

Yes Wow...very interesting. Perhaps the Estate could have considered hosting a contest for the cover. As we see here the fans could come up with some innovative ideas.

I would pay a good amount of money to see the Bad era Pepsi ad in Blu-ray quality.

In fact, the only reason I watched x-factor was to see the Pepsi ad during commercial time.

As far as the logo is concerned I'm hoping that they maintain a design that holds familiarity for the fans and public. The red and black will certainly do that. I think keeping the original logo with a slight modification would be ok. I care more about the content. What I hope for is:

1.) CD: unreleased songs and a few cool remixes and maybe a couple of originals taken for the original masters, like we heard on Immortal. There were a couple songs that sounded great. Michael's vocals were clear and there was a slight variation on how he sang the original verses how they were released. I liked that.
2.) Special edition extras: Bad book with photos we have never seen before. (i.e like still shots from the Bad studio sessions). Also we're there any unreleased poems or essays? (just a thought)
3.) Spike Lees anniversary film.
4.) DVD: Blue Ray and DVD release from second leg of tour. Wembley and LA seem to be to ones everyone is recommending. Also include special extras of Michael recording in the studio during Bad sessions. I've had the opportunity to be in a recording studio and the process of creating the music is very exciting. I can only imagine what it would be like to see Michael during that process.

If the Estate and Sony really put some thought into this and listened to the fans they could put together a very nice package. I will "Keep the Faith" :)

Re: Future MJ Projects from Estate - Bad World Tour DVD

So if the TII soundtrack is included, then it goes...

1. This Is It soundtrack
2. Vision
3. The Experience
4. Michael
5. Cirque Du Soleil soundtrack
6. Off the Wall re-release
7. Bad re-release
8. Bad Tour DVD
9. ???
10. ???

This Is It is not part of the 10 projects, Also Michael Jackson The Experience that was the Michael Jackson estate not Sony.

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

If Bieber rapped to Smooth Criminal, I would kill everyone at the Estate, and anyone who dared to even let him go near the song! :p

Hear that Estate/Sony? You have people ready to commit murder if you mess up. :p

Why do I think I wouldn't be surprised if they tried a stunt like that? Bieber was on the remake of WATW  If the Estate is reading this, please listen to the fans for once.

^^Yeah, I'm trying to start a new trend.

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

For me BAD is the best MJ's album! I will never forget the hype and the Michaelmania!

I hope they release a luxury collector box with:

CD1: BAD album (don't touch it!)

CD2: Unreleased songs and material: Fly Away, Streetwalker, demos, pepsi version of BAD, etc...

CD3, CD4,...original extended remixes released back then with their respective covers.

CD5: freshly made remixes (for those who like the mixes and also to attract newer generations)

BLU-RAY 1: HD music videos of each song (except obviously Just Good Friends and I Just Can't Stop Loving You) + some rehearsals, BAD PEPSI commercials + the video recording sessions at the studio + TV appearances, Grammys, and highlights from different movies and series where MJ's music from BAD era was used etc.

BLU-RAY2: HD MOONWALKER & making of, outtakes, bonuses, interviews

BLU-RAY3: HD of the BAD concert + bonuses of some of the best performances in different countries from BAD TOUR + MTV documentary on BAD TOUR and other major news from back then + short bonus teaser: video recording sessions of the Dangerous album in the studio (announcing the DANGEROUS era).

Are my expectations too high? Hell yeah! It's our king. They put a crown on the logo, they should make a KING size release!

Currently not available but it looks like another Bad t-shirt is going to go on sale : http://michaeljackson.shop.bravadousa.com/Product.aspx?cp=21637_50740_21641&pc=BGCTMJ170

I like the retro look.

HELL YEAH!!! I agree very much! - This release will be SONY's chance to make up with the fans who did not like Michael.

Hope SONY takes this release serious and makes it great!

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

^^ I don't know....There's a lot of grammatical errors in that to be official...

Hell to the naw. We just want something that will be released that is deserving of having 'Michael Jackson' on it. It needs to be the best. This is a Michael Jackson record. Celebrating 25 years of a fantastic album, and it should be done correctly.

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

I don't want to get my hopes up too high but I hope they are taking this seriously. To bring pepsi into this is like a good sign to that. They have handled promotion of immortal shows really well and people seemed happy with the cd with that. I just hope this all works out well.
