I hope it doesn't leak so I'm not tempted to listen to it. :p I hope it will be released on iTunes and I hope it will be on the album.

Well the single will probably be released sooner than the album so the demo is just a teaser for the unreleased material from the album, who knows.

Looks like the single has dissapeared from the American amazon, it's still in my orders though so not cancelled yet.

don't want to be negative.
If they include the french version of IJCSLY, it will sell more i think. cause DBMA will be probably included in the album, so the single has nothing special to spend money for. or maybe acapella and instr., yes, but else.
thats why i think we shouldn't expect to much from this. just like HT and BTM, eventhrough both had the potential to chart on good positions.

I understand why CD singles don't sell anymore. The single costs about as much as the album, but there are only two songs on it, and we already own one of them in multiple copies. This single would be much more interesting with this:
-I Just Can't Stop Loving You
-Spanish version
-French version
-Demo with only Michael's vocals
-Acapella version
-Different spoken intros if Michael recorded more than one
-Don't Be Messin' Around

I don't understand why they don't put more stuff on the singles. They could put every demos they have and let us hear the process of creating the song. They could put recordings of Michael talking while recording the song and just telling the musicians what he wants them to play. They don't give people reasons to buy both the singles and the album. No wonder most people buy only the album.

You're right. They don't give us much reason to buy them.
But now the singles are more like a collectible item, especially if they're on vinyl. (Btw, I love vinyl, I'll buy it in vinyl if I can :p)

I remember singles used to have very strict rules on what could be included in order for them to eligible to chart - in the UK anyways. That was back in the pre-download days so maybe things have changed...?

I would like that. But thats something for fans. general people don't care about such stuff. it would be great if they really start to think more anout us, then to always go the easiest way. in the end we are the ones that buy these singles and not the regular cd-buyers - singles downloaders of today.

true. if you compare to the singles releases in the 80s, thats how they realease singles today. barely fill, in opposite to the 90s.

But physical singles should not be marketed for the general public anyway, since they are only interested in compilation albums and Michael's most famous albums, or they download the song they like on Itunes. So if neither fans nor the general public are interested in singles, who will buy them other than collectors? I think it's time they change their marketing techniques regarding singles.

^^If you have notice the music industry is veeeryyy sloooow. it took them 10years to realise how profitable music downloads are.
in the 90s singles were bought often, especialy by teenagers. they buy every maxi-cd, cause albums were expensive. and music industry used the old marketing way till the few last years.
Michael was an album seller, where the rest of the coming and going singers, was more singles sellers.
thats why there were more then one maxi-cd of Michaels songs releases. One that was for the masses and few more other maxi-cd/vinyls with remixes for the fans and collectors.
but today that changet and the very few cd-singles today are marketed with very less effort, meaning mostly orinted for general public.
still digital release with the suggestions you did is something.

Does anyone understand what is happening with this release? Apparently it's only available in the States from Wal-Mart? Before it was gonna be in Germany and Australia.

I just wonder what about the UK?

Such a shame it's not gonna be released digitally.

Why do they make it more complicated than it should be?

I'm pretty sure that it will be released everywhere. They just made special note of it coming to the USA because CD singles are almost never released here anymore.

In the Benelux the CD single is also dead..... sadly.

It´s available in every country. Go to Amazon. You can buy it there or in the markets.

Countdown for Don't Be Messin' 'Round !!

On June 5 in the U.S. (June 4[SUP]th[/SUP] ex-U.S.), Epic / Legacy Recordings will re-release the original first single from the album "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" as a CD Single with a previously unreleased bonus track from the BAD sessions, "Don't Be Messin' 'Round (demo)."


What do you expect of this song? Is it an early DEMO, or is the song almost finish? - What do you guys think?

It is a ballad right?

I can't wait to hear it! - New MJ music is fantastic!!
