Wembley DVD content - discuss Michael, his concert and performance ONLY [discussion ]

Re: BAD 25 MJ Demo's Unreleased and unheard songs [Discussion thread]

Someone should edit an audio file of Al capone and PoF playing one after the other for at least 10 mins cause I'm getting tired of hitting replay button on both songs.

I know the feeling....I did this ALL night

Re: BAD 25 MJ Demo's unreleased and unheard studio songs [Discussion thread]

How so? Not disagreeing with you, just not sure what you mean.

I know a lot of people still collect vinyl.

The last single CD released after the BAD25 announcment a few months ago (I Just cant stop Loving you with Dont be messing round) only sold 5000 copies probably more now, but thats very Low :( .. Fans are just not interested in trying to make singles soar for MJ. DBMR was a very cool song .. it was only $1.98

No I like PoF the most too - judging from the snippets. Maybe it will change when we hear full song, but for now PoF seems the best IMO.

Re: BAD 25 MJ Demo's unreleased and unheard studio songs [Discussion thread]

I loved both songs. But more al capone.Briliant song.MUST BE SINGLE..!!!!!! SONY DO YOU HEAR???

Re: BAD 25 MJ Demo's unreleased and unheard studio songs [Discussion thread]

Sony....Ahem. PoF/Al Capone single?

Re: BAD 25 MJ Demo's unreleased and unheard studio songs [Discussion thread]

Let's face it, even the pre-orders are not as high as they were expected. There is no point in releasing a single after the "IJCSLY" flop...

I bought all the singles from MICHAEL 2010 and the IJCSLY one for Don't Be Mesin' 'Round and I would love to complete my collection, but they aren't getting anything from this.

Re: BAD 25 MJ Demo's unreleased and unheard studio songs [Discussion thread]

Why was Don't Be Messin' 'Round released on the IJCSLY single? DBMR is good, but these are much better.

Seems that the estate took the Thriller/Bad route; release a decent song (The Girl is Mine and IJCSLY) to lower fans' expectations, and then drop the good stuff. Besides, if either of these were put on the single release I would have been disappointed. Amazing songs, but they're better for the big surprise when you buy the album.

IJCSLY was in no means a flop. If anything, it was a success. As you know, it was only released through Walmart with no digital release, not to mention that most Walmart's only carried a handful of copies at a time (my local Walmart only had four when my girlfriend had gone there) and there was no TV commercials or promotion for it. There was no chance of a charting on the Billboard Hot 100, mainly due to its refusal of an iTunes release, but for a physical single it was a smash. In one week, with all these factors in mind, it sold 5,000 copies. IJCSLY was by no way a flop.

Re: BAD 25 MJ Demo's unreleased and unheard studio songs [Discussion thread]

^^ I second that.
Released on 14th September, so would expect a leak around 12th September.

MICHAEL leaked on wednesday (release date was friday in Germany, tuesday in US), Immortal leaked thursday (release date was friday in Germany, monday in US). I think it will be the same with Bad 25, probably wednesday.

No. Been gushing about PoF for hours now.

I think it should be the 2nd single after DBMR

Huh? How do you know? Just curious to know the basis for the assumption that pre-orders were weak
Keep expectations in check, because MJ's catalogue had a huge sale surge 3 years ago . So I am sure casual listeners won't be running to their local store to pick it up.

First week sale may not be too high, but this should be promoted through the Holidays with Spike Lee's doc coming in later.

I hope all fans buy ths

PoF was played almost in full.

Re: BAD 25 MJ Demo's unreleased and unheard studio songs [Discussion thread]

totally complete?
sure? no snippets loop?
where was it played?

It was played on a French radio yesterday along with the Al Capone snippet. The latter was just a snippet, but PoF was played longer. Not totally complete though, because they talked over it towards the end.

CD singles don't really sell at all these days. It's not really a collectors thing like vinyl. Still didn't it top the Billboard physical sales chart? That was all from MJ fans. I think they messed up by not putting DBMR on the 12" release. A lot of people would have saw that it was just the same thing they already had and not bothered with it.

Almost complete. 3:56 of 4:32 minutes long. French RTL radio played it.

ok. so not full.

Re: BAD 25 MJ Demo's unreleased and unheard studio songs [Discussion thread]

I'm not so crazy about Al Capone cause it sounds quite predictable and poppy (although yep, it's really nice), but... it's just amazing to see how this song has evolved in time O_O

Re: BAD 25 MJ Demo's unreleased and unheard studio songs [Discussion thread]

Getting into the groove of Al Capone, I'm really sad that it's the shortest song on the album (3:33) :(

Re: BAD 25 MJ Demo's unreleased and unheard studio songs [Discussion thread]

It's just really cool to hear where he got the inspiration from the 'Annie are you OK' part from. But i highly prefer SC too, the beat is just so much more better and suits it more. It's great to have this version though.

Re: Wembley DVD content - discuss Michael, his concert and performances ONLY

NOT TRUE!!
He DID perform DD even though Diana was in the audience!!

Yes! The great thing about this is that Michael didn't want to sing it because of respect for Diana, indeed. But then Diana told him this was one of her favorite, if not favorite songs. How awesome, haha.

I'm really excited for the Live DVD, i am so surprised how many songs there are on there. Around the time the Bad tour began i was very young and i don't really remember anymore how many songs he had done, but it's alot. I'm so damn glad Dirty Diana is on it and so is The way you make me feel, crazy awesome!

Oooh correction....i recall seeing a list that had TWYMMF on it too, but i guess that was the live CD then?

Re: BAD 25 MJ Demo's unreleased and unheard studio songs [Discussion thread]

^^ yeah i agree! I really would like to hear Chicago 1945, as it is rumoured to be another inspiration for Smooth Criminal

I think that rumour is true, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. As soon as i saw that song title i expected something similar to SC. :)

No, that must be the extra on the DVD in the deluxe edition.

Or maybe just a good story MJ made up...

In Private HomeMovies he said he did NOT perform it in respect of her and she asked him to perform it - and then MJ said it was too late to get it back in the show! - MJ was very clearly making up a good story!

MJ just performed the song without thinking about it and only later he found out some would say it was disrespect I think. DD was never meant to be taken out of the set-list that evening I think!
