I am upset with AEG for not inquiring as to why MJ needed treatment and as to why Murray wanted $150,000 per month for these 'treatments'. The amount that Murray was insisting on should have raised red flags

Maybe because them being in the business, they have seen a lot funny things going on in music business not to even think about possibility there is a doc putting Michael in coma every night. It is easy to say in hind sight they should have seen or done something, but really? Who would have even thought what was going on?

Fleetwood Mac and Axel Rose used to have oxygen tanks (+other things) at backstage, and who knows how many of those singers tour with doctors to look after their well being. I see nothing odd about it if there is a doc in hand if they can afford one, and would think there is someone who thinks better safe than sorry.
The amount Murray asked for did raise reg flag within AEG and they contacted on Michael. Michael told them how much Murray is going to be paid and that was it.

If anyone in AEG thinks like me, I understand them for not asking questions.

In my opinion, the amount Murray asked for, especially his initial asking price, did raise flags and that's why AEG wanted no part of Murray.

And since Murray already had a prior relationship with Michael, I don't think AEG would have questioned Murray's involvement, aside from the monetary aspect of course.

Also, if you recall, when Kenny Ortega brought his concerns to Michael's personal physician, he was basically told to "mind his own business and worry about the concert."

In my further opinion, even if time allowed and AEG still never signed on with Murray because they thought it would be cheaper for Michael to hire a doctor in London, I believe Michael would have found a way to keep Murray on his team, because he wanted Murray and he trusted Murray.

Furthermore regarding Murray's payment. Why would AEG even care how much Murray was asking for?
If Michael wanted him, and at the end Murray's salary was coming from Michael's profit of the tour, why they would have cared how much Michael was ready to pay for him?

They did care a bit how Michael was spending his money, thats why they asked confirmation from Michael was he ready to pay requested 150 thousand, and as MJ said to them to offer less, they accepted that it was Michael spending his own money.

I'm not sure, but didn't Murray originally ask for something in the ballpark of $5 million? I don't remember exactly, but I do recall it being in the millions.

I was just thinking that even if the money was going to be coming from Michael's share of the proceeds, AEG knew that Murray was taking advantage and the money he was initially asking for was outrageous, especially when you had Murray running around telling everybody and their Momma how healthy Michael was, i.e. "he's fine, mind your business."

I cannot understand the reason why Murray's deposition was left to last minute?
Seriously, he is the main person in the case and he is going to be deposited at very last minute before trial:scratch:
Why now and this late? There must be some sort of monkey business going on.

a lot of Katherine's depositions are left to the last minute. Remember that's why they needed to ask for 15 day extension

Did AEG deposited Murray or only Katherine's side?

each side selects who they will depose but other side's lawyers attend to that deposition as well. For example AEG wanted to depose Randy Jackson, Katherine's lawyers were present in that deposition. This time Katherine is wanting to depose Murray, AEG's lawyers will be in that deposition too.

It's the judge's ruling about the 15 day delay of summary judgment hearing. The party who made the request has to file the order and give notice to the parties involved. In other words Judge's do not handle the paperwork, they say to the side that filed the request "here's my order , now go and file it and send it as a notice to other parties".

The only things I think they want Murray to tell them, whether AEG knew Murray was giving propofol to Michael, and was he hired or not.

As we heard in his trial, AEG wasn't aware of propofol, and contract wasn't signed.
What else they could possibly ask from him in order him to support their case against AEG?

They will go on slippery road if they go blaming AEG for not caring of Michael as that will fly right back at their own faces.

The "riot act" meeting. At least Michael, Dileo, Murray, Ortega and Phillips was there. I'm not sure if Gongaware or Michael Amir Williams was there too. Anyway with Michael and Dileo dead and as knowing how Ortega will testify they might need to know what Murray will say. Also Murray's interactions with Phillips might be of interest to them.

Also don't forget that Murray has no remorse and in an "I'm innocent" mindset. He could be a perfect witness for them if he starts blaming AEG.

I forgot that one. Yes, he did ask 5 million/year (which was reduced to the 150/month) and comfortable mattresses to his place in London:scratch:

I have to go and read about Riot act as I have forgotten lots of info, but wasn't there something like RP saying to MJ that he has to stop going to Klein and stop taking what Klein gives him?

RP could/can say that what he said to MJ at Riot meeting, indicates and shows his concern of Michael's health?
Even if Michael stopped going to Klein as RP told him, it didn't stop Murray killing him.
I doubt he is so stupid he is going to say they told me to pump MJ full of propofol.

I knew the risk.

I knew I didn't have the proper equipment.

I knew propofol should not have been used outside of a hospital setting.

I knew propofol was not supposed to be used as a remedy for insomina.

But I used it anyway, because AEG told me to.

I remember a few years ago, I was on a cruise and one of the programs they showed over and over and over (LOL) again was a Celine Dion concert. During the course of her concert, she got sick. She too had a doctor on tour with her and he gave daily updates as to her condition and when he thought she might be able to continue her concert dates. Nothing serious, just some type of upper respiratory infection. When ever this fellow spoke, they would show his name and under that would be the words - Tour Doctor.

So I guess in some circumstances, it's standard procedure, if you have enough money to have a doctor travel with you.

The amount Muarry was asking for is high, but if I was AEG I would not see it as a red flag as some of you here suggest. I would just think that this is a greedy doctor who wants to make as much out of this deal as possible. I am sure they have experience with dealing with professionals who what an excessive amount of money.

I wonder if Katherine's team is relying a lot on the riot act meeting. Randy is going to deny that he told Michael to stop seeing Klien etc., if Muarry goes that route. It would be a case of your words vs mine. Even if he says he was told to give michael XYZ, he is still in trouble, because he maintained that he was innocent and Michael injected himself. Maybe he might claim he was told to give Michael prof, and he gave him a little only. He could say he was being pressured all the time from the big shots at AEG to have Michael there for rehearsals. That might help the family in showing AEG was controlling the situation and & Michael, but AEG already has a legal definition of what control, ect., mean ^^above in their doc to have this mess thrown out.

If Murray is to testify against AEG, I think he'll say that AEG put too much pressure on Michael, AEG made his insomnia worse, and maybe that AEG was interfering and putting pressure on Murray as Michael's doctor (ie Michael HAD to be in shape for the rehearsals). So poor Conrad Murray was under pressure from both an over stressed Michael AND AEG.
And Michael was under such pressure that he might have done something stupid - according to Murray and his self inection theory. All of that because of AEG , of course. Or the Jacksons (didn't he say something like that in his "documentary ?"). Or both.

I don't think he can say that AEG ordered him to give a specific medication, he can only say that AEG made the situation worse.

Also his deposition could be interesting for Katherine as to what AEG knew about the real situation. Who said what to Murray and when, and what were his answers, and what AEG was supposed to understand.

I'm not sure how it works. I mean, is a status thing or a mandatory part of your contract if you are of a certain age.

Exactly! Murray is a medical doctor. He would never say AEG told him to give MJ that since they aren't medical doctors. Murray knew what it was and he knew what it could do but he didn't care. Katherine should be suing Murray for criminal negligence and wrongful death yet she decides to sue a concert promoter who did nothing wrong. If MJ wasn't ready for this tour, he should not have agreed upon it.

It seems they served Muarry? Why they did not deal with Muarry issue all last year. It is not as though Muarry has a lot of appointments and he has to clear his calendar to talk to anyone.

I was thinking the same thing. Why wait so long if she wants to find out what Murray knows? This should have been done a long time ago if she believes Murray wasn't the main one involved in her sons death.

Seemingly it is standard for big names to have their own doctor on tour with them.
I have seen articles in which these reporters make it sound like Michael was the only one to have a doctor on tour, but I did a little search about tour doctor and it is common thing.

I guess we can check and see who's on the road, or WAS on the road with the Rolling Stones during the few dates they just completed. LOL!

I wonder if Murray testifies in this trial (if it even goes on trial), can anything he says there used against him?
I mean if he says something there to make himself to look even more guiltier than in his own trial, can that be used against his appeal (if there is going to be one), his appeal to get his medical license back, or as far as I know, he is going to be released on November this year for serving only half of his sentence. Is it possible that he sits all 4 years if something comes up in this trial?

If MJ wasn't ready for this tour, he should not have agreed upon it.

He wanted to do the tour for us the fans & i guess he needed the money that he would be bringing in from the tour. He probably felt like he had no choice but to do it but also preforming was his greatest passion and he also missed it as well.

Looking back i wish he had said no but theres nothing now that can be done bout that

Yes i agree with you. It's the pressure mjj was under that murray can testify to. Alot of stuff that chernoff wanted to bring in to the criminal trial, eg mj's finances and the aeg contract, were disallowed by pastor, so i guess the jacksons want to hear it.

However, murray's lawyers were wanting to show pressure to bolster their claim that mj was so desperate he injected himself. Here i expect the jacksons need to argue that mj being put under pressure from aeg should lead to a reasonable conclusion by aeg executives that mj would start taking propofol. I haven't the first idea how they can prove that but i guess that's the jackson lawyers' problem, not mine.

I agree. Pressure is part of ALL business, not just for those in show business.

Even if you are just a regular 9-5 worker, like myself (LOL), you're expected to be on time and perform your designated duties. That's not just AEG's rule, that's EVERY companies rule.

I understand that Michael's job was much, much bigger, but the rules are still the same, i.e. "show up and do your job."

As to the Jackson family, I would have to say the pressure they put on Michael didn't help his situation any. I mean, from the brothers bothering him to join them on stage, to them wanting to be part of "some" of those O2 dates, to Joe Jackson and Rowe badgering Michael because they too wanted to be part of the O2 deal, the All Good Entertainment deal, OR BOTH.

It's no wonder the poor man had a hard time getting a good night's sleep, in my opinion.

Michael was under pressure the moment he signed the contract with AEG. He had an obligation to full fill his part of the contract.
AEG was under pressure the moment they signed the contact with Michael.They too have people to answer if they fail.

Conrad Murray was under pressure of his own greed, and that is why he is in jail.
