Oh really, dimond gave a date, and she said it was street kids??! Unbelivable. Have you a copy of ddimond's book shelly, and check what she says, i'd like to know if anka's strewn perfume bottles were his inventions or whether he got that from dimond. I can't face checking that vile peretti doc for that nasty little story from her but the impression that she was giving was that it was mj and some children in some debauched, depraved hotel room party that wouldn't be out of place in the dying days of the roman empire. I'm wondering if the tale began as the fairly well publicised incident of mj in a vegas hotel in nov 03 hearing of the arvizo allegations for the first time and trashing his room in despair whilst his mother went round trying to put things together again. No children involved.

So did anka read ddimond's book, think i've stayed at the mirage, i cd probably have seen this debauched party going on and appropriate this story for himself? I mean it's odd that none of these unidentified children have thought to cash in their explosive tale to the tabs.

@last tear - no, i know the news segment you're thinking of, some sting involving mj in mid 90s. This is a doc on channel 4 in 07.

^^^^^ Yes but I thought DD was giving an anecdote about the mirage on that peretti doc. Maybe I have it muddled, all this trash has merged together in my brain. Who did that channel 4 doc in 07, the one with the sting?
 
I guess it's the November 2003 story - embellished. MJ trashing his room became some wild party with kids. Weren't the kids with MJ his own plus the Cascio kids (Aldo and Marie Nicole)?

She said it happened in November 2003. According to her, he wouldn't let people going into his room, except for kids, and looked under drugs. She also claimed there were lots of people staying outside his room, she call them street kids. She thought they were there for the food.
 
Paul Anka called Jay-Z, and JZ didn't return his call. He said he wanted to do a rap song with JZ and Michael Jackson. Anka said JZ has totally Blown him off. Source NY Post.

We're getting our ddimonds all twisted, lol. I'm talking about the peretti doc in 07 on ch4 which i saw on youtube. In it ddimond gave some anecdote about mj and kids in a mirage hotel room getting up to allsorts. Shelly says she mentioned the same incident in her 05 (?) book. You're referring to the sting where they tried to link some homeless canandian boy to being molested by mj - it was an american tv show that dimond worked for - maybe hard copy?- and they did a news segment on it around the mid 90s.

Thanks, shelly, so it is that nov 03 incident when mj went ballistic when he heard about the allegations. Dieter was there and rebbie i think with mrs j. How could she twist it? I've got to say, for fairly understandable reasons mj was just letting all this slide and not offering any rebuttal - he'd be recovering after the trial. Why on earth didn't mrs j come out with a clarifying statement or dieter - they're quick off the mark when their own reputations are impugned.

meh, just like Mike used to say, good stories dont sell which is why they keep publishing books, newspapers and magazines to trash the poor man. May karma get them.
 
This is an extract from charles thompson's blog where he was writing about the video for one more chance and how the raid on neverland happened on the second day of shooting the video in las vegas.

In Las Vegas, it fell on manager Dieter Wiesner to break the news to Michael Jackson. “Michael was still in his room,” Wiesner explains. “He was sitting next to the fireplace when I came in and he was very quiet. I had to tell him and it was not easy to tell Michael things like this because he was in such a good mood. He saw a future. When the Bashir situation arose he was very down. Now everything had changed and Michael was ready to do new things. Then, to go to his room and tell him such a bad situation… it was a disaster.

“I told him, ‘Michael, there is bad news but on the other side you have to see it as also good news. The bad news is the police are on the ranch.’ Michael was completely shocked. I was sitting next to him; I had my arm on his shoulder.

“He looked at me and he was really... You could see the blood going out of his face. He was deeply shocked. But I told him, ‘Michael, now you have the chance finally to clear up everything. Once and forever you can clear up everything.’”

News spread quickly amongst the crew. “I saw it on TV that morning and by the time I got to the hotel lobby, everybody else had already found out,” says a crew member. “So we went to work as normal and waited to see what was going to happen.

“Of course, when we got to the soundstage it was a complete zoo with paparazzi and fans. It had leaked where we were shooting. The day before, nobody knew we were shooting or anything.

“We waited that entire day for Michael to come and I think we went back a second day. Then he called finally and said, ‘I’m just not going to be able to come’.”

Jackson spent much of those two days crying, says Dieter Wiesner. “I was sitting with him day and night. He was shocked; he was crying… he didn’t know what to do. It was such a bad situation. We were supposed to go to Europe. He was ready to move on in his life and everything was prepared. It was just a beautiful situation and this news shocked him deeply. Really, it killed him.”

Two days after the Neverland raid Jackson’s depression turned to anger. When it emerged that the boy behind the accusation was none other than Gavin Arvizo, the boy whose hand Jackson had held in the Martin Bashir documentary, Jackson decided to fight.

“You know, when it was clear that this allegation was because of the Arvizos, then he started to really fight the situation,” says Wiesner. “Michael told me, ‘Dieter, you know what, they should bring this young boy into a big place, invite all the press and he should look me in the eyes and tell me that I did this.’ So he was ready to fight.”

The fact that she called them street kids is interesting to me.

I wonder who her source was for this version of events. Why wasn't Sneddon alerted about it? Why hasn't anyone been alerted about any homeless children scavenging for food from pedophiles?

Anyway, November 2003 is a story we already know about.

I wonder why Paul Anka never contacted the District Attorney of Santa Barbara County if he thought it was so 'scary' about Michael having kid's over visiting him at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, back in 1993. The way Paul has exaggerated his story makes me question his validity. Apparently there were Witnesses, the hired help, who 'claimed' Michael wouldn't let them in while these kid's were visiting and then they proceeded to destroy the room, to the tune of thousands of dollars??

Then the bizarre rationale of Dodi Fayad owing Paul Anka $150,000 dollars and this made Dodi so paranoid it caused the accident that killed him and Princess Diana?

And all this time, I thought Diana died at the hands of a drunk driver and so does her son, Prince William!

It's not from 1993, a story like that would have appeared in the media during the Chandler allegations. By the way, the police was at the Mirage in 1993.

It's probably from 2003.

Well, to be fair (not that he deserves it though), the reason he believes that is that supposedly he ratted out Dodi to his old man, telling him that his son is racking up debts in L.A. and that supposedly made Old Fayed demand his son to move back to the UK. So he's saying, hadn't he not been responsible for Dodi not living in L.A. anymore, he wouldn't have died in Paris.

I think no matter where Dodi was his father would have insisted he left his fiancée and hook up with Diana.

I remember thinking that he had an absolutely ruthless streak. So probably I shouldn’t have been surprised that when Thriller came out, and became a smash hit, I couldn’t get Michael back to the studio to finish our songs.
The tapes from our sessions together ended up just sitting in the studio while I kept trying — and failing — to get him on the phone.
Then, the next thing I knew, Michael sent one of his people over to sneak in and steal the tapes. I was aghast — and I certainly wasn’t going to let him get away with this.
In the end, it took weeks of threatening him with legal action before I got them back. But I knew then this kid was headed for trouble.
Quite a while later, I saw him again in Vegas, when he stayed at a villa next door to mine at the Mirage hotel.
And I’m afraid I was a witness to the parade of kids going in and out. Scary.
He wouldn’t let anyone else into the place. The maids and other hotel staff would come to me and say: ‘We can’t even go in to clean; and if we have room service for him, we’ve got to leave it outside.’
When the management finally prised Michael out, they found broken glass, perfume bottles and rotting food everywhere. The Jacuzzi had bubble-bath pouring out of it and the place was an unholy mess.
It took tens of thousands of dollars to renovate that villa. And Michael was never allowed back.

I was drawing attention to this fact that and here it is 2013 and Paul Anka is now ascribing a REVELATION.

What a nasty SOB. And he's got another thing coming if he thinks fans will help his sales of the book and album now. Instead he's just shot himself in the foot.

I just said that Anka did not say that it was associated with Jordan Chandler, so from what appeared in the Daily Mail one cannot conclude it was 1993.
 
Its possible it was 2003 when MJ was reported to trash the mirage and asked to leave
becuase Paul states Mj never stayed there so if it was 93 he certainly stayed again several times

in 2003 Michael had been staying at the Mirage with Grace and his kids working on his Once more chance video
The day his ranch was raided Nov 19th he trashed the place (did a lot of damage) and was asked to leave on Nov 19th ...

There are several articles about it and weisner speaks about it saying it was out of character but Michael was in a rage. MJ broke many things threw furniture around etc.. thus the broken bottles Paul speaks about. Dieter says Katherine tried to clean up most the mess .. becuase she didnt want anyone to see it - that she didnt want staff coming in to clean - So the story room service wasn' t allowed in also fits ..

There are several stories about this incident if you google it and MJ probably had neices nephews and other kids coming in and out becuase it was also reported Jermain reebie and other fam members visted him there. where as when he was with Jordy in 93 there were not reports of several kids hanging around coming in and out that I know of.
 
Nor there was any damage done to the room in 1993. In 1993 he was with June, Jordan and Lily and no one ever said anything about trashed rooms and kids coming and going from his room in that story.

So I too think it's probably the 2003 story - embellished. Even if Anka stayed in the same hotel, I don't think he knew about what was going on in Michael's room, apart from rumours he heard from staff and also in the hindsight from Dimond's version. And he builds his story on such rumours and also embellishes it for tabloid consumption IMO - with the innuendo about kids.

ETA: I know Aldo and Marie Nicole Cascio were with him at the time, apart from his own children. And this pic was made on Nov 13, 2003 in Las Vegas, so those kids were with him too possibly. Arent't these Al Malnik's daughters? But as usual the media (and in this case Paul Anka) just likes to make it look like it's something shady and sinister.

Those two girls are Mark Lester's daughters, so he had two Cascio kids with him, Mark Lester's two daughters, his own kids, and possibly Malnik's kids there too? And then his family. Omer had been at Neverland a month when it was raided.

And Diane Dimond referred to these kids as "street kids"? LOL
