Not sure, I heard it was made after the trial, but then I heard it was made in the late 90's.

I F*CKING LOVED Michael's vocals :girl_in_love: and I liked better the music arrangements from the middle of the song to the end. We haven't heard 'I Was A Loser' yet, it could be included in the new album and some of stated it's more complete than 'I Am A Loser'.

"I Was The Loser" is just the legal title (US Copyright Office) but Michael has never reworked the song as far as I know.

Whatever happened to MJ's lips really gives the timeframe away on the vocal. That 'muffle' as MJ fails to enunciate quite like he once could is present throughout the whole of the Invincible album.

Is the 3.57 MB file the best quality one known to exist?

I think so. It sounds really good for mp3 imo.

Now that I got the chance to hear it, I can say I totally disagree with IMWhizzle's opinion. It's a great work in progress, I loved it.

If there's indeed a more complete version, it could be included in the new album.

I personally love the song. I've read that Michael started the song in 1998 and kept going back to it, even as late as 2009?

Don't know. I'm assuming that one person trades it with someone, then somebody else trades with them etc. I'm not sure how someone would come across it though.

Love this a lot! I don't think this was as repetitive as people were making out at least it didn't feel like it was. Especially not as 'If you don't love me'

He sings very laid back (early early early demo stuff

The vocal recording is dry as hell, you can obviously hear everything being copy pasted. No reverbs or delays (effects) were used.

There are two musical chords used (very simple and annoying)

His background vocals only say 'I am A Loser' a thousand times together with the two chords.

The production is very thin, because it was not mixed to be ready for release.

He sings full out at the end of the track (only thing I love about this song, gritty MJ :lol: )

It is a track below MJ standards. Not even the worst artist from this moment would release a song like this.

NOTE: This is my personal opinion about this song. Don't attack me for this. And yes, even MJ has a handful of annoying songs, like 'You Are My Life' and 'Don't Walk Away'.
