"I have something to say and if I lose friends or likes because of it, that's ok.

Some fellow fans are making nasty comments about the new album, they are picking on others who are looking forward to it, and they're also condemning the web site owners who were recently invited to a listening party held by Michael's Estate. I'm not going to mention their names because one of them I consider a friend and my intention is not to hurt anyone or attack anyone, but simply to respond to the negative people who are being cruel to others about all this.

First off, I would like to say that I love Michael Jackson and there isn't a soul on this earth who has any right to say that I don't care for him simply because my daughter attended the recent listening party on my behalf.

I've had the pleasure of working alongside the Michael Jackson Estate for almost 5 years now and I, (more often than not) DON'T go to these functions they offer, I send people to represent me as I did 2 years ago when I sent my friend Betty to Montreal. She met John Branca as well as other staff and I think she can attest that John Branca and the Estate team are definitely looking out for Michael's legacy more than any of us realize,,, but more importantly, John Branca truly cares very much for Michael. It's not just about money, (which will go to Michael's children), Mr. Branca has sincerity in his heart for his friend and partner. The Estate cares for Michael as a person as well.

We look at the Estate as a big corporation, but we need to remember that within that BIG corporation, there are real people with real feelings. They're not robots, they're human beings with feelings. I know from the times I've met them and the research I've done, that each person loves Michael in their own way, but make no mistake,,,, they care.

Sony music does NOT have Tommy Mattolla any longer so they chose Sony to work with on this project. There is a NEW team at Sony and they are a positive and upbeat team. They too want to keep Michael's legacy alive just as the Estate does.

This new album will not disappoint the fans nor would it have disappointed Michael if he heard it. This is MY opinion and you have a right to yours, but don't be fooled by the leaks online,,, the album and the music is not exactly what you've heard online. It's got a twist, with surprises that will thrill any MJ fan, (except the negative ones). The work, time, effort and LOVE that went into Xscape will show itself to be everything you've heard and MORE.

For those who say I'm turning my back on Michael simply because I, (or my representatives) attend these Estate function's, you're wrong. I'm simply honored to help continue Michael's legacy by supporting projects that help make the world realize that though Michael may be physically gone,,, his music and love will live forever. I was there before he died, and I'm here now. MJ-Upbeat.com stood by Michael's side and supported him during his life, his struggles, his highs and his lows and we continue to support him.

Whether we agree or disagree about the new album, let's not call each other names and fight. It's just wrong. I'm truly ready to leave facebook because although I've seen so much love,,, I've also seen so much hatred. Why do we attack each other?!! Why??? Respect each others feelings and don't call each other names. Be polite. Is that too much to ask?????????

If we all love Michael like we say we do, then there is no reason we should be fighting with each other about this album.

Respect is all that's required!

I doubt there will be any kind of announcement taking into account all the secrecy of the project.

We'll get snippets of the songs 1 or 2 weeks before the album drops and that's all.

Eminem didn't even release snippets for his album back in November. Only a tracklist and radio singles. 4 singles prior the album. Weird promotion from Interscope.

Thank you, Estate. What you are doing right now for Michael's memory is incredible. He would be so happy to see how well received this album is already... He's right back where he deserves to be. And it says a lot about the music industry today that MJ's "comeback" is the most exciting entertainment news this year.
And the thing I love THE MOST is that nearly every post on this forum is to do with THE MUSIC.
Long live the King Of Pop.
We love you, Michael Jackson.

If no single is release prior to the album-release.

At least 2 radio singles should be released!

I mean - if no singles are released - how will they create hype for the album??

They sure need to promote the album heavily in the weeks leading up to the release - best way I can think of is to release singles...

Physical singles don't really matter as much as radio airplay and album sales. The Xscape project is the album. Sony/Estate must be hoping that the album will be the big seller. I think we have a lot to look forward to this month. And I think the videos will be something really special...

I love the song and whatever they did with it it will still be good. BUT it is not the best song on the album and it won't do well as the first single. Also the song is from 1983 - MJ on the cover is something they were aiming to.. like a new album, something MJ would release in 2014.

Other things.. they hire Timbaland (currently the hottest producer out there), Rodney Jerkins and Stargate.. but they are releasing song probably produced by one of the executors (who doesn't even have wikipedia page, majority of people (including me) have never even seen that man)!

I'm ok it is on the album, great that people like it. To me it's a good song. But I prefer MJ's voice post Bad and I think it is much superior.

If Timbaland thinks Chicago should be the first single, then I agree with him. Also that is the only song that didn't leak besides Loving You. Love Never Felt So Good leaked 6 years ago and was previously released in 1984 by Johnny Mathis.

All in all it's not 1st single material (maybe not even single material when you have so much great music on the album). No matter how good it sounds and whatever they did with it. Also many reviewes praised it just because they want Thriller MJ and nothing else.

How many radio singles do you think would be wise to release before the album?

I think maybe first radio single this monday - second radio single on monday 14 days - and then a third radio single released at the same time as the album.

If LNFSG is single material - I do not know - I have not heard the new version....

BUT - I had hoped for an upbeat disco-friendly song. - STTR, BG, Xscape, APWNN or DYKWYCA - hope many singles will be released throughout 2014. - and maybe even in 2015.

The most stupidest thing I ever heard. It's like This Is It. They don't care for single chart success. Radio airplay is not enough. The song won't even chart on Hot 100. They just want to sell as many albums as they can. The song will be played on the radio.. everyone will want to have/buy the song on itunes but no - if you like the song then buy the album. Just like This Is It soundtrack. So bad.

They could have both with this project. Successful single and number one album.

Track-list, snippets, info about radio single and/or physical singles - just something!!

We are desperat to hear some news!!!

The album is going to do fine. Stop worrying about it. If it doesn't hit number one, too bad.

By no means is this true. Every other song on the album saw just as much praise, if not more, than Love Never Felt So Good. Do You Know Where Your Children Are is often called the strongest song on the album, and that sounds nothing like Thriller. Same with She Was Loving Me and A Place With No Name. As many have said, if the music is good, they'll respond, regardless of anything.

Physical single is not so important. They can release that after the album (or not) but when the song hits the radio it HAS TO BE available on itunes. That's how it works today. If it's not on itunes people will just illegally download low quality rip and listen to that. They will accomplish nothing.

I was just about to say this LOL

I can't wait to hear LNFSG. Apparently the took the sweet melody and placed it on a modern, orchestral disco piece which is really in right now.

I don't understand why the estate would need to reject 80's MJ's output for the album as a whole. That would be rather strange and unnecessary. The post disco music he used to make during that time is what pop music is leaning towards right now. Undeniable. Whether one enjoys Michael's 90's vocals more has nothing to do with whether something we've never heard is successful or not. I'm hella excited.

And I think people are obsessing over the first single too much. You don't place all your eggs in one basket. Catch their attention with something universally lovable, then follow up with the hard hitters and artistically experimental tracks. That seems to be the 21st century model. The song being great is all that matters at this point.
