They could have put Justin Timberlake on Do You Know Where Your Children Are. Now that would have sucked lol

Well we'll see ;) i saw a journalist outside the award thing talking to NBC news and saying wow guys USHER will be performing on a never heard before song of MJ tonight blablablablabla

Ultimately it wasn't used for Akon's album, it was used for Michael's.

Akon went back in and mixed it again, including more Michael vocals than before. I do believe Akon genuinely loved MJ, but I think he wanted a little too much of himself on that track.

There's certain lines we know MJ recorded because they're in the final track, but Akon chooses to sing them in other parts. There's even the line "so why make our lives harder" that Akon sings WITH Michael. In that situation, I'd have just had Michael sing it in the final mix given the shortage of him on the track. Just an example.

Well an emotional song like that... should only be sung by Mike... I'm glad of all the hype that this is getting. It's been a long time coming. Will be watching the show on and off but in all honesty, i can NOT wait for the single release... and the other songs too through out May 5-9th... "We're almost there... Just one more step..." :heart: Lets do this right this time fans... it's gonna be EPIC!

No offence, but the radio stations in your area sound terrible. It's certainly not the situation in the UK. Michael is played everywhere.

I am looking forward to this, since I haven't heard LNFSG. We've got a little over an hour left here in America before the awards show airs.

Why? That song is finished. They've done this whole album respectfully. They didn't cut out any MJ vocals that is audible or usable (like Tricky did with "Slave"). I'm sure.

They added JT on "Love" and Mary J & D'Angelo on "Hot Fun" because MJ did not record the full vocals.

I do not listen to radio much but the music TVs I have play MJ's videos constantly - and a wide variety of them too. I guess it depends on where you are but here the media does play MJ.

If I'm able to listen to that remix today, I'll skip it once I but the album. I can't stand Michael copycats but if Sony prefers money over integrity, let them have their money.

Where are you from Always There? I am from a conservative small town in Florida and before all these allegations Michael's songs were played all the time then they stopped in 2003. But since 2009 they've been playing a lot of MJ more so than ever!

That wouldn't make sense though. Akon sings the entire second verse, which Michael never recorded. Why would he suddenly stop singing for one line?

No offense taken :p but from what I've observed, the UK holds a much higher opinion of Michael than the US does. For the most part, over here, it's negativity.

It was just one example of how there could have been more MJ on the track because you said there was 'nothing' Akon could have done about that because it was for his album.

Money over integrity? This is the most beautiful and respectful project they released since This Is It. Also LNFSG is an unfinished song just like this one was:

Also they will release the original demo on itunes too.

If you listened to R&B in the 90's and early 2000's, you know who D'Angelo is. He's actually a very talented musician with a good and distinctive voice. I'm glad they chose someone of his caliber for the song over a Timberlake or whoever.

I haven't listened to any of Mary J's latest work, but I know she's a very talented vocalist. As for Lauryn Hill, everything I've heard from her in recent years has me wondering if she can even sing anymore. She sounds awful live.
