“AN MJ EVENT LIKE NO OTHER”

This is the ‘report’ of the EJE Event in Reusel
An MJ event like no other
That healed me in ways impossible.
Ready to Xscape?
“We wanna take them to places, they’ve never been before.”
The calendar was marked on April 20[SUP]th[/SUP] , 2014
For the MJ event like no other
or simply called The European Jackson event (EJE) .
Time for ‘moving on’ and celebrating the legend Michael Jackson
Instead of only ‘mourning’ his loss.
Though,
there was an impressive list of performers and activities,
the event held much more in anticipation.
Meeting new and old friends,
Soaking up the MJ sphere,
Getting the latest merchandise
or just rocking to the ‘never old hat’ songs of the master.
EJE event had it all and
made it in an event like no other.
One that holds dear memories now of
meeting ‘chat friends’ for the first time,
connecting once again to your dear friends that live abroad,
marveling over the talent on stage and of course,
the love and the escapism that
Michael still brings to the crowd no matter if
you’re a new or a diehard one.
I admit, it’s the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] event, I agreed to go in about 5ish years.
I wanted to celebrate Michael and NOT just mourn and weep over his loss.
Michael wouldn’t want it.
He would insist to ‘live life off the wall’.
To me, the event had quite a healing nature.
As, I realized that this is my world where I grew up in, the MJ bubble.
It’s wonderful to see all that talent on stage.
No matter how young or old people are,
Michael touches your soul, rock your world, make that change.
I had grown quite skeptical of “Look a likes” lately.
Then, one came on stage to ‘rock my world’.
My heart skipped a beat or two and I had to catch my breath.
Okay, “Philly T” was for me the HIGHLIGHT of the day.
Yeash, I do ‘appreciate’ all the other talents I saw on stage
Including: Kent Olaf, Fatih Jackson, IMI artist,
Lisa Johansen and the ‘Music to move’ choir,
Johannes Holmgren, Milly Magic.
They were all honoring Michael in their own ‘special’ way, okay!
Maybe, it was the ‘rendition’ of the “This is it” rehearsals.
It was so scary real though that he knocked me off my feet and
I was glad there was a break so I could rehydrate and
be ready for the next performance.
I was documenting it also in piccies.
What a view though to be cruising around in
my Michaelized Hoodie and sporting an A5 Tab as camera, LOL.
That was the vow I made to keep myself from falling apart on that event,
It worked like a charm.
The after party was heaven.
How could a simple thing like, a DJ rocking his tunes
standing before a huge video screen, have such a blessed effect?
It’s the connection I felt between fans,
all just dancing and enjoying his music
whether they were just fans or performers.
Often, the crowd would break in ‘synchronized’ dancing on
Thriller and Beat it and
the ‘snake line’ was so much fun to do too, LOL.
Only to end in unison, holding hands and
celebrating the joy and the wonder of Michael Jackson
that brings us all together no matter where we live on the planet.

all the same in the world and one song to sing. “
