And this is history making. She is the FIRST female rapper to get the award. CONGRADS.
 
Oh wow. i never realize how special this award is. (well of course it got Michael name on it.) she up there with Janet and Michael now. congratulations to her she's deserve it! Michael isn't here but i guess he would of approved. congrats again.

as long Michael name is on that award we are good. we can move on from this.
 
Just saw Entertainment Tonight, the ladies said the WHOLE name with excitment.

MTVs press release must have included the Michael Jackson name otherwise all these outlets wouldn't be reporting it that way.
 
Most outlets are using the real name of the award. Billboard, ABC, Reuters, Associated Press, etc.
 
Well if the name sticks then I'll take MTV off my list now.

I noticed one of the twitter blue ticks complaining about the award name works on an HBO show, lol. Someone must be paying these randoms. They keep popping up like weeds to spout an ignorant tweet regarding LN.
 
Glad to see they're keeping Michael's name on the award! I actually saw an article (more of an editorial/opinion piece than actual news, even though it came up on Google News) today with someone saying they wanted the name of the award changed from Michael's name to Missy Elliott's. *facepalm*

Exactly. On the radio,. DJs were saying MICHAEL JACKSON VIDEO VANGUARD, and NO mentioned of LN when they say it.:clap:
 
I'm glad MTV kept the name and Missy Elliott said the entire name!

So far, they havent. However, Missy said it during her speech. They even had Janet in the short interviews with people talking about Elliot smh.
