Inspired by a most similar image last year, when 2018 was rather uneventful for MJFam and didn't really deserve any anger, I believe this particular picture is far more appropriate now

Happy New Year, everyone! And also......Happy New Decade! Although, I believe that technically the start of the decade is considered 2021? In any case, here's a toast to new beginnings and old friendships.

Fireworks are synonymous with New Year's Eve, aren't they? :D

I read that all over the world the celebrations were even more special this year. Didn't have the chance to check it online for myself, but in real life I saw some really awesome displays, and not just for the NYE, but also on January 1st :clap:

Yeah there is always fireworks on new year's eve and I love it!

I think, going forward we could do more of these instead of the traditional fireworks, which aren&#8217;t very environmental friendly. :)

Agree. Fireworks are beautiful but very bad for the planet. I was shocked about the fireworks in Australia, especially because of the fires.
 
I just read that the Shanghai display didn&#8217;t actually happen on New Year&#8217;s, but a couple of days earlier. Weird. Someone here from Shanghai who knows the real story?
