Why the general disinterest for the Victory tour around here?

What's differences? it's full but it not from the estate etc.

The difference is that a release is something that was planned officially for a release to buy.
A leak is simply what it sounds like. Someone (sometimes Label or Studio-Worker) get something in their hands (or even stole it) and leaking it to the internet or giving it to wrong people who then leaking stuff. It's not only happening with concerts. It happens even with studio songs (not only MJ).

For me the Victory Tour is the perfect genesis of the Bad Tour, everything Mike was disappointed on the Victory Tour was greatly improved in 1987

Just going the Toronto show, there's loads of little things I find annoying about it, the lack of backing dancers for Beat It, MJ wearing his shades at the start of Beat It, Marlon copying all of Mike's moves after he did them, the noise Marlon makes during songs like the start of Heartbreak Hotel, how ordinary and lifeless Human Nature sounded (compare it to any show in 87 and its night and day)

I think it's telling Mike didn't like the tour and said so in his autobiography, I think he said he was unsatisfied with it as a whole, he was outvoted on tons of stuff and he was disappointed in his own performance overall. I think to Michael's credit, he perfected his stage presence from here, he looks so much more polished and in control during the Bad tour. I think he really discovered the power of movement from here on, he knew when to do something extremely fast (but still smooth) and then when to slow it right down to grab the audience's attention ad reengage them. So for that I'm thankful to the Victory Tour

I do love the adlib from the Toronto show during Rock With You, "I put it in my pocket girl", I wish he would have done that a couple of times on the Bad Tour

I will say, I'm glad the Toronto show leaked for those who wanted to see a Victory Show, I do come across as harsh on the show but it was great to see it and I'm grateful it was shared

Excellently put my friend! I completely agree. For me the saving grace and the highlight of the tour is Michaels vocals. Imo this is the best he has ever sounded singing his songs from thriller. It’s just a pity that the sound couldn’t be on that level as well. I also agree with you about the “put it in the pocket”. I always look forward to that part when I’m watching triumph and victory concerts. He should have kept it.

I have to check some footage I don't seem to recall the dancing being that different than the bad tour.
Anyway from what I remember I loved every bit of it, including the costumes and stage design. As for the sound I don't have a fixed opinion about it as every footage I saw has bad audio sound.
Not an unimportant factor is when I think of Michael Jackson and I imagine his looks I think about the Triumph/Victory tour as his defining most iconic look.
My only downside for the tour is that it was too similar to the Triumph tour but that is probably his best so it's only a small downside.

Despite what I said earlier on what I think about the tour in general, I'm very glad Toronto leaked. Seeing MJ in your own city is the best. Since that was his last time coming here it just means that much more to me. Vocals are a big highlight for this tour for sure. If they do release it I hope they choose NY or Chicago.

Re: Jlj

Since I have all of Jermaine's albums (except the 2012 standards one) I have no problem with his part. :D

Same! Sometimes I even watch the Victory Tour just to see his part  Everytime I want to listen to Let's get serious, that's what I watch. I prefer the live version of that song.

Also, I can't get enough of that amazing performance of This Place Hotel.

I wonder do the MJ estate owns it or some other place they uploading stuff i'm pretty sure there alot. and for them deleted it too.

Re: Jlj

One of my favorite performances. This was uploaded on TheJacksonsVEVO Youtube channel few years ago but it was removed:

Man.. One thing I really love about the Victory tour is Michael's confidence. He was really on top of the world here and it's just something extra that oozes out from him during this tour. The Thriller era was awesome. Something that the world will never experience again.

Either that or it was just for the show because he really didn't want to do it. but i agree. awesome tour.

Have you heard the Spanish version?

Victory Tour was MJ at his peak. His moves were as fast and sharp as ever, and his best performances of Billie Jean were then. I'd love to have it in hiqh quality

I like his outfits better on Victory than the silver onesie he had on the Bad Tour

This is exactly the way I see it.

I like how spontaneous his Billie Jean performances were on the Victory Tour.

So to sum up and conclude on this thread...

There is no such thing as an disinterest for the Victory tour around here. :)

Exactly. i don't think people don't want it they just have different taste they want. in my opinion we need it just like michael other tours. it's shows his career and lifetime.

Exactly - we should have a release of every concert of The Jacksons and MJ solo.

There is clearly disinterest for the Victory Tour around here.

Apart from the four reasons mentioned in the first post, the Victory Tour set list has serious issues according to many fans here.

The set list does not include the ‘Torture’ song, which is a good song and it even comes from the ‘Victory’ album.

The set list does not also include the ‘State Of Shock’ song, which is another good song that it should have been performed at that tour even without Mick Jagger.

I see also many fans’ complaints here about the omission of the ‘Thriller’ song from the set list (although its omission can be explained by Michael Jackson’s religious beliefs at the time).

Many fans also here would have wanted a longer performance of the ‘Billie Jean’ song because it ends too abruptly.

Also, another reason for the disinterest for the Victory Tour here is the overall, visual aspect of that tour (costumes, lights, etc) which looks very cheap, gaudy and therefore tasteless.

I strongly suspect that most fans here are interested in the BAD Tour.

I’m very much interested in the release of Victory Tour. In my opinion, it features the best performance of Human Nature and Beat It, especially performance of the later song, which I never liked during Michael’s solo tours.

I guess Victory Tour doesn’t feature as much dancing as Michael’s solo tours and a lot of MJ fans prefer dancing over singing, so perhaps that’s why there isn’t much demand for the Victory Tour.

But I prefer singing over dancing, so I am very much interested in Victory Tour.

I attended a Victory tour show. It was great the only part that wasn’t was when MJ took a break and Jermaine took over. When MJ came back for tell me I’m not dreaming that was pretty great though. Jermaine just can’t sign.

I just want a new concert to leak or release, no matter the tour or occcasion. Another Victory, Bad, Dangerous, or HIStory Tour leak would be cool. Triumph would be amazing

Me too! I don't care what tour it's from, I just want more concerts :)
