Bits and bobs thread.

1nn5 was back online today. I thought he was banned, but obviously not. I checked and there are four infractions of one point, which will each expire next year, at different times.

He's on regularly. He wasn't banned, he just said he would stop posting. Which he did, thankfully.
 
So, since I sent my PM to NatureCriminal yesterday, she has been online at least four or five times, but has not responded to the message. She hasn't posted anything either, which I guess is good news. She's probably going to sulk for a while, but hopefully she got the message loud and clear, regarding how she should conduct herself on the forum.
 
I'm always so amused by the level of testosterone in those VHS tapes threads in 2000 Watts. So much chest beating and what is commonly referred to as a "pissing contest" going on, day in, day out. LMAO! Some kind of competition about who does what for "the community", could be seen in those posts you recently cleaned out, Anna. The only thing those guys care about is getting concerts, I swear. Not one word about Michael in any other part of the forum. SMH

So far, so good with NatureCriminal. She is actually being quite sensible and subdued in the threads, which makes a pleasant change.

UGH.....how many new members are going to ask how to access 2000 Watts, when they have....like.....only one or two posts? (Rhetorical question, of course).

I wish they'd read the information notice, or at least read the same question asked by others before them in the Help Centre. One of them asked how to get into 2000 Watts with their FIRST post!!! That tells me that all they want to do is leech, without actually engaging with anyone on the site at all. It is very annoying. Another of them (Dann) used a post to say, "Hey mod, I'm sure I'm at 10 posts now, are you asleep?" I didn't approve that post, so now he has one less. Lmao.
 
I know, it's so aggravating. I wish people could just use their brain or their eyes for once. ****ing hell.
 
OMG. Is Serious Effect's current use of a bitmoji avatar for almost every post annoying anyone else, or is it just me??

It's so out of step with how the rest of the forum looks and it's HUGE! It just seems lazy, to me.....like....if you can't be arsed using sentences, then why bother to comment at all? I don't like it when people use the bitmojis on FB either - I think it makes them seem immature, somehow. Maybe I'm just showing my age, bahahahaha!

Hahaha. It is weird seeing it on the forum. The only place I use it is in WhatsApp sometimes.
 
The Misc MJ Thread might as well be renamed to 'NatureCriminal's Tweet Dump' at this point...

Yeah.....I hear you. :( Looking on the bright side, I guess it stops her from starting a million threads that have only one or two replies in them. She pridefully stated the other day that she is the most active member on here and I guess that could be true. SAD but true.

Maybe we should have a thread just for all these random tweets, because at this rate no one's going to be able to find anything interesting in the Misc MJ Thread without sifting through hoards of crap.

I think that's a good idea! We could actually call it "Random Tweets about MJ" or something like that.

I reckon she's only just learnt how to do all of this kind of thing since joining MJJC and that's why she launches into overkill.

Okay, I made a thread. It's like the news articles all over again... I wonder what the next obsession will be that needs to be contained.

On another note, there's a thread in the moderation queue which I'm not sure whether to approve or delete.
 
Anna, I saw your "back and forth" with NatureCriminal (what kind of name is that, anyway...lol) in the Miscellaneous Thread, over her continual posting of copious quantities of tweets. I have moved all of her recent tweets to the Tweet thread and I've also responded to her question asking what the Miscellaneous thread is for. UGH, I hope she understands NOW, but we shall see. I deleted the posts where she was trying to challenge you and argue about it, as I think she should have put it into a PM if she had a problem with what you said....especially as she made a whole thread about "PM me if you want to tell me something." Sheesh.

Speaking of PMs, she sent me one, saying that she thinks you are harassing and bullying her and that she is either going to call the police, or just leave MJJC. Talk about two extremes! Lmao. I responded, telling her that I don't think anything you said constitutes harassment or bullying and that she is not to argue with staff, or challenge people like that in public threads. I have spelt out to her (again) how things need to work, for everyone's peace of mind. I think she is a lot better now than she was a year ago, but there are still some frustrating issues with her M.O., for sure.

The only thing being harassed and bullied is my patience since she joined MJJC. :troll1:

She cannot seem to comprehend that I am just doing my job, no matter how many times I tell her. She takes everything as a personal attack and she is just some poor innocent victim.
She had the nerve to say in a PM that she thinks that I'm "just messing with her because she has depression". As someone who's had depression and anxiety since childhood, and also as a decent human being, I found that incredibly offensive. She is really rude to me and then acts like I'm the bully. Reality check, lol.

I am with you, on this. She was being rude and childish, saying "don't yell at me".....FFS. I told her that all you did was tell her not to keep posting the tweets and then she just went right on and did it again! The whole reason you even made the Tweet thread in the first place, was to give her a place to put them, if she must bring them here. *Face palm*

She's like a child throwing tantrums because she can't do whatever she wants. She is throwing crayons all over the floor and all I'm doing is telling her she can't throw crayons all over the floor and where to put the crayons, but somehow I'm the bad guy. I wish she would do something with her time besides scouring Twitter and sitting on MJJC all day every day, cluttering threads and causing aggravation.

And this is the response NatureCriminal gave me: "can you work on your talking when it comes to me. i know that's your style but it's not mines. also what section? because i don't see any section when i post things like this."

"Work on your talking", like what the **** does she want from me? There is nothing wrong with what I said.

Ok, I looked at the database data and he has sent that same PM to about 10 or 20 people, I have pm'd him that he has flagged up on our systems, if he continues to spam members the person message feature will be taken away from him.

Yeah, as I said in the Whats App chat, he has tried to promote himself/gain recognition through the MJJC platform before....by posting a video and by having his YT channel link in his signature. He probably thought he was following the rules by sending PMs, but to 20 people?? Really? Nope. Not cool.
 
Bloody hell.....I saw the scores of NatureCriminal posts removed from the Miscellaneous thread!!
