they are releasing unreleased tracks! great job guys!
I don't know if you're serious. So they release 2 or 3 demos every five years and ask us to pay 25 $ for them, and we're supposed to be satisfied?

They could be putting out BOX SETS of unreleased stuff, demos, outtakes, alternate takes, live recordings, etc. Look at what the Elvis estate has been doing for decades now.

I make no apologies about being demanding. The Estate has made it clear they're in the business of making money. Fine. I'm in the business of getting value for my money. We'll see how many truly unreleased songs are on this in the end, but they're still asking us to buy -- AGAIN -- songs we already have ten copies of so that we can hear a couple of demos when they could, if they wanted, release a dozen such demos and outtakes every year.

You could have shared it with people instead of getting dusty in your archive. It's not enough to call it ego. beyond.

Got The Hots was not disappointing at all. I can't get that song on any physical media as it stands so I will be happy that I can buy it when THriller 40 releases.
I personally am very dissapointed with the inclusion of Got The Hots, as it could have easily been released on the digital version as part of the "bonus" tracks on Disc 3, and then everyone would win, people that wanted the song to be available on streaming, and fans that wanted new content on Disc 2.
just what i think, that's all

Translation: “They don’t give me everything I want, and that makes them bad. Look at what this other estate does, even though they’re two totally different companies and have totally different resources! I could point at the actual BS they’re guilty of, but why do that? Give me more.”

Come on now.

Looks like the 2010 Mark Ronson version was to be called ‘Lovely Way’ instead of ‘What a Lovely Way to Go’.

See link

‘“It’s in the vein of Elton John‘s ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ and John Lennon‘s ‘Imagine’,” he added.’

“It’s a really beautiful song called Lovely Way. I don’t know if it’s made the album but I hope he would dig it if he was here.”

Wonder if it's possible MJ says both lonely and lovely in the song, would explain the title confusion (unlikely but just thinking out loud, lol)

Alternate theory: MJ had some pretty sloppy handwriting. Perhaps the lawyers in the 1993 deposition who combed through his unreleased material thought the cassettes/notes they saw said “lonely” instead of “lovely”? I think it’s pretty plausible for them to mistake a quickly written V for an N.

Possibly. And MJ didn't bother to correct the lawyer. His mind was probably too busy trying to remember all of the tracks anyways.

Yes, « give me more » is my policy when it comes to the MJ Estate, just like it is theirs when it comes to fans. They’re in it for the money, I’m in it for the content.

Yeah I think that's possible, would make sense.

I’m choosing to believe this until proven otherwise.

WALWTG is track #9 on CD (#18 on digital)
Then the "leaked" YouTube tracklist is still in play.

01
02 Got the Hots (Demo)
03
04 [Carousel]
05 Behind the Mask (Mike's Mix (Demo))
06 [Can't Get Outta the Rain]
07 The Toy (Demo)
08 [Sunset Driver (Demo)]
09 What a Lovely Way to Go (Demo)
10 She's Trouble (Demo)

I am quite sure they will NOT include a Demo Version of a main album song in this concept for CD2: such as Starlight being the Demo of Thriller. And actually I am happy about a CD full of alternate (partly unheared) tracks.

I just hope two things for the remaining 5 tracks:
- Hot Street
- NO inclusion of Can't Get Outta the Rain

They are releasing 3 new songs and 1 previously released song so far, it's your fault if you've heard the leaks

Yeah, I know... But Damien Shields mentioned something about vocals never recorded for that. I don't know?
No it is recorded they said it have something like remember the time

In the deposition MJ was dancing with his head the song recorded and it have something like i bet you remember from remember the time song .

Exactly what I have been saying if all you that have all these leaks that's DOWN TO YOU ! Not the estate. This was Michael's music, I am getting a brand new album virtually with disc 2. Korgnox take no notice of people saying why didn't you release it. I am glad you didn't.

It’s a bummer that so many songs leaked and so many of us listened to them, but that shouldn’t disqualify their release—and I say that as someone who absolutely flipped when the majority of the XSCAPE track list was leaked material. Obviously the more completely unheard material the better, but at the end of the day, there’s only so much in existence.

It’s important to point out that this would not be the only mistake made by the lawyers when mentioning song titles during that deposition.

E.g. they ask Michael about Chicago 1945 and call it “Chicago 145”. And at one point, the lawyer asks Michael about the song “What Was Your Life” and Michael corrects him and says “What’s Your Life…it’s called What’s Your Life”.

Either they misread the song title and Michael wasn’t paying enough attention so he didn’t notice it, which wouldn’t be surprising considering the state he was in at that time, or the song was titled both things at different times, which I find rather hard to believe.

What would be the reason for them taking down all Starlight uploads on YouTube last month then?
They've also taken down fanmade versions of the BTM demo.
