Hot topic What unreleased demos and remixes do you think will be on Thriller 40 Disc 2?

It's different when Steve Porcaro said he doesn't want the song to be remixed and we know the Estate isn't gonna want to release a song without the need to "contemporize" it. Seeing how the Estate skipped on releasing the song as an exclusive for Xscape's deluxe edition I think this is one of the few opportunities for the song to come out.

I share the same sentiment. Either this project or an anthology set released who knows when. Not holding my breath for it, as I can imagine the estate will try to hold back as long as possible with what usable material remains. Also given the fact that we're getting "Lovely Way", too.

J'attends définitivement l'une des démos divulguées comme dernière piste. Je me demande aussi s'ils vont sortir un single, la plupart des sets comme celui-ci sortent au moins un single numérique à promouvoir.
NO SINGLE !!

They are absolutely stubborn enough to just not release it unless they get to do what they want with it lol

Please fact check what you say or state it as your opinion to avoid misinformation
It has been explained already to you, I believe.

Example of a scratch vocals would be in the song “In The Back”.
'In The Back' is not an example of scratch vocals because it is a vocally finished track that was even meant to get a release in that vocal state on the 'Blood On The Dance Floor' album.

Scratch vocals are vocals that are recorded without the intention of keeping them or using them in the final stages of production (of the song).

Scratch vocals are recorded along with the rhythm parts of the song (drums, percussion, etc) in order to set the general vibe of the song and also to help the musicians play their parts.

Scratch vocals are also going to be later replaced with better vocals (on a song).

The 'Jam' original demo from the 'Dangerous' sessions (which is available on YouTube) is a clear example of his scratch vocals.

It's literally missing lyrics in the verses, it's by no means finished. It was considered very briefly for BOTDF as well as Seven Digits but they both didn't make it to the album because they're largely unfinished.

Listen we can't completely rule Chicago 1945 out until Thursday when the Estate tweet "the last song on Disc 2 of Thriller 40 is Niteline, written by Michael Jackson and Teddy Riley"

My only suspicion is if by some miracle it is Chicago 1945, it'll be the last song announced because they want to make a big deal out of it, like a video and single release. But again I don't believe these insiders on twitter. I'll be happily stunned if it wasn't Niteline or Hot Street

I can't see them bothering to make a video or anything of the sort, would be awesome if done well and we can only hope.

If they made a clip that wasn't of fans dancing that'd be great lol. It was nice at first but they oughta start being more creative. I'd love to see animated videos like Dua Lipa's Cold Heart and Hallucinate videos.

the fifth 4K video could be an all new video for a new musicvideo to a new song that will be released as a single.

Imagine they announce Chicago 1945 thursdag - release it as a single friday acompanied with a new musicvideo with all new studio footage etc. - I guess it would be a montage video.

In The Back was considered for BOTDF but Michael chose Superfly Sister as it was complete and required less work than In The Back.

You are a troll so I don’t even know why I bothered to reply to you.

Queen released a single aswell lately, paired with an anniversary album release.

Chicago 1945 would be perfect as a single (+video). Also to promote Thriller40.
Imagine another killer track 'from' the best selling album ever, on the charts?

knowing the estate, they will ruin it anyway. :p

If it's so bad they should just leak it. And any other Vince outtake. I wouldn't care about anything anymore then. Maybe a 4K Bad Tour show.
I'm sure it'll get leaked at some point, the song was recorded full at Brad Buxer's seminar. It's only a matter of time until it gets to the hands of someone who's willing to post it online.

It just sounds like the other generic invincible tracks to me.
It sounds like first three Invincible tracks and with the exception of Heartbreaker, I am not too fond of Unbreakable and Invincible (song).

I am still interested in hearing CGYWOM in full in high quality some day.

cascio jokes (even though it’s sarcasm) are very cringe. let’s not talk about it forever.
