Michael and Katherine going door to door for Jehova's? Trying to make sense of this.
Concerts don't generally make much money in movie theaters. That's why very few have been released that way. They're either shown on TV or released on home video. The recent Taylor Swift one did pretty good, but she's a current artist and has a young Swifties audience. The Beyoncé one didn't do that well. I seriously doubt an old Jacksons tour from the 1980s is gonna make any money if released to theaters, when most of the Jacksons/J5 videos don't even get that many views on Youtube and that's free. Currently, it's hard for any non-IP movies to make money at theaters. People just wait for them to go to streaming in a few weeks.I can see why this opinion is unpopular. Biopics have been very popular of late and they've been a dependable cash cow. The Michael biopic may well gross over a billion dollars and will likely put Michael's music back in the spotlight again. After that maybe you can have your concert cinema tour but there wouldn't be the demand for that now.
I hate to be critical but I'm very disappointed by these pictures, I don't see Michael. These photos look a lot less like Michael. I hope they can do some things in post production.
Omg I cannot agree more! Here's what I think and ion care if it's an unpopular opinion
All of this is a joke to me. Biopics are no fun. I mean, why would you enjoy watching someone else acting as MJ when there is literally 4k concert footage out there. No. This ain't for me. Good if you like to waste 3 hours of your life seeing someone else acting as the greatest artist of all time, again, when there is CRYSTAL CLEAR concert footage from the 80's to be exhibited in cinemas all over the world. But no, let's make a boring ass 3 hour film of someone else acting as MICHAEL JACKSON. Oh but it is jafaar how could you say that. Yup, I CAN. still not Mike.
Bts photos aren't the same. The other photo was quite clearly photoshopped to a satisfactory degree.I hate to be critical but I'm very disappointed by these pictures, I don't see Michael.
The official picture we got the other day made me extremely excited but this look is completely off.
Fingers crossed Hollywood trickery can improve the face.
Really doesn’t… I’m so sick of people thinking that any grown man with a weak forced higher resonance sounds like Michael. The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, Ralph Tresvant, Bogdan Ioan, Brandon Conway and Sebastian Suarez are all examples people have given and NO!Wow. That fucker really sounds like Michael. I'm shocked. Wonder what Jermaine thinks about that.Kinda ironic.
The other photos look off but Jaafar doesn't look too bad in this one in particular. He looks close enough to Thriller era MJ here.
And more blablabla. I did not say he sounds 100% like him, all the time, but the resemblance is there. More than from any others of the next generation or brothers. People keep saying that Janet sounds like him at times. I don't hear that at all. But this song at times sounds like him. No need to get your panties in a knot.Really doesn’t… I’m so sick of people thinking that any grown man with a weak forced higher resonance sounds like Michael. If you’re saying that then you clearly have NO IDEA what Michael sounded like. First, his tone was actually quite manly despite what people portray it as, I think people confuse his ability to hit very high notes in full voice and singing high and girly throughout the duration of his songs. However when he did sing higher and more boyish that style can’t be replicated because he did it effortlessly and these other singers sound like they’re holding on for dear life with forced efforts and poor technique. Let one of them sing Can You Feel It, Blame it on the boogie, Baby Be Mine, TWYMNF or Earth Song… it ain’t happening! Second that man had STRONG vocals! Crisp clean pitch, pulsing vibrato, high and low tonality on a whim with no issue and could rival the best vocalists in my opinion.
Sorry, but that is lame. Why is it only allowed to praise something? That general opinion on a biopic needs to be able to be stated.Let's read the rules again, shall we kids?

I think it's more the whole "anyone who likes this is brain dead and wasting their time", thing.Sorry, but that is lame. Why is it only allowed to praise something? That general opinion on a biopic needs to be able to be stated.
I doubt they're gonna do that.As far as appearance goes the thing that throws it most is the eyes. Michael had fairly large, oval shaped eyes whereas Jafars are more angular, the term would be "hunter eyes". I can see that production is going all-in on the make up and costume but we have to accept it's never going to be a like-for-like replacement for Mike. Just like every biopic, you have to suspend belief a bit and allow yourself to just "go with" it. I feel like Michael Jackson fans will be the least likely to do that. So hopefully some things can be done in post-edit to bring his look even closer. But are they really going to sit there, frame by frame, altering his eyes?
We dont know if its gonna be boring dont make assumptions. Here's what I think and ion care if it's an unpopular opinion

People here have way way to high expectations lol. Jaafar looks great in the pictures, he is not a clone of Michael but probably the closest we can get.As far as appearance goes the thing that throws it most is the eyes. To be fair, the CGI used in The Irishman for example (for the de-aging) is incredibly impressive to me. I don’t know if they would use that kind of technology for the biopic but I don’t think it’s impossible to do a convincing job with it.I've seen people say that they could use digital effects (they could but kinda doubt it) or deep fake. I personally don't think deep fake looks convincing enough in motion for a film like this tbh
I mean if they did actually go out of their way to use stuff like that I'd wait to see the results before criticising it, I just think it has the danger of not looking right. To be fair, the CGI used in The Irishman for example (for the de-aging) is incredibly impressive to me. Yeah, I totally agree. The budget for this film I heard was in the 120 million range. That’s a lot! Hopefully they will make it look really really good. Fingers crossed!I mean if they did actually go out of their way to use stuff like that I'd wait to see the results before criticising it, I just think it has the danger of not looking right.
Again, no. It’s alright to admit you’re a novice and need your ears checked, we’re all here for youAnd more blablabla. I'm sure I'm listening to him longer than you, but whatever makes you feel better.Again, no. It’s alright to admit you’re a novice and need your ears checked, we’re all here for you![]()
Take it up with @Gaz , it's not my forum, and I don't care. But it's fun to be a narcSorry, but that is lame. Why is it only allowed to praise something? That general opinion on a biopic needs to be able to be stated.
Ok, then let's wait a full recorded video or a live Instagram of the filmed scenes from those people cuz they can't do anything to stop themThey can't do anything about people taking photos lol. Unless it's intentional leaks then it's not the crew that's taking them.
Fan since 91’ probably longer than you’ve been alive my dude/duddetteI'm sure I'm listening to him longer than you, but whatever makes you feel better.![]()
That is usually how this stuff works, yes.Ok, then let's wait a full recorded video or a live Instagram of the filmed scenes from those people cuz they can't do anything to stop them
It’s a movie and He’s not Michael Jackson he will never look like him.Yeah, he does look quite different in these shots. Hopefully his performance is good enough that we can overlook that.
