Without divulging too much personal information, my boss and I (we run a media company with 1M followers on social media) actually hired Charles Thompson years ago, before Taj did, to work on a documentary about the allegations. A pilot episode and rights to the whole script were bought by Netflix. They canned it, presumably because it didn't fit their editorial vision (again, they paid good money for it; I believe they did so to ensure no one else had the rights to it. They do this all the time to disadvantage competition).

If Taj ever finishes his and tries to get distribution, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in a similar situation and the whole thing never sees a release. Netflix buys this type of stuff left and right and most of them never see the light of day. I know several people who make a very handsome living writing pilots that never made it on air--not even one!

Wow that as definitely deliberate. They did that to silence your documentary.

I don't know if you have twitter, but I definitely think you should reach out to Taj and warn him that netflix did this. I think he is just dumb and gullible enough to sell them series and not ensure they actually air it.

It's very disturbing the lengths the media and the industry have gone through to make sure no one ever learns the truth about the false allegations.
 
I’m sure he’s aware. It’s extremely common in Hollywood and not unheard of in the music industry either. Taj and his brothers have personal experience—their second album was recorded 20 years ago and never released by their label. 3T have no right to do anything with it and it’s stuck in limbo forever. Taj also co-wrote a song for Nick Lachey’s third album, which was shelved by Jive Records. Never released. Oh well.
 
All of this stuff will see the daylight one day, one way or another. The main focus should be on producing it in the first place

Why would you assume he has not started because he says the project will be made? "Be made" is obviously referring to being completed as he is talking from a viewpoint where he is having to respond to questions from fans who are questioning whether he is working on the project at all or if he will ever finish it.

Considering we already know he has interviewed T-Mez for an entire day years ago, how can you reasonable argue he has not started yet? It makes zero sense.

The only reason people would be wanting Taj to for example, say every 3rd month, "project is 17.6% completed", "project is 32% completed etc is because there is an absurd obsession with accusing him of not working on the project, never finishing it and scamming the donators. None of which has any merit or evidence to back it up, its basically slander deluxe.

So basically some fans or donators (or both) have created this landscape where everyone should be suspicious about Taj being a thief and therefore requesting updates that has no purpose or meaning other than simply reducing the anxiety of the very people that are afraid Taj is a con-artist - a notion themselves have created based on their own imagination with massive evidence to contradict their claims of Taj being a fraud, its one of the more bizarre things I ever came across.

Its utter madness if you think about it!

Lastly, how can anyone accuse Taj of being terrible of communicating on the project when he for years have invited fans/donators to join him live for hours and ask questions about the project and also taken questions from the MJcast on behalf of fan, and also responded to fans on twitter, in PMs and face to face at various MJ events during these years.

There is nothing terrible about Tajs communicating at all. At worst I would say its been average, but I see no reason whatsoever to call it terrible. (terrible would be no updates at all or ignoring fans and going to hiding which is the exact opposite of what he has done)

Wish the estate would set up a production company think michael would have loved that, especially with prince on board

Dunno if Taj would be that gullible but I agree @Alec should warn him about that possibility.
 
We should support Taj, he is always on the frontline when it comes to defending MJ. All the negativity from the fans towards him just goes straight back to MJ (the media would be eating it up: "MJ's nephew scams crazy MJ fans"). It's bad publicity and also very unfair to Taj. I think this project grow over his head though, he is not a documentarian or filmmaker of any kind. I think he'll need a lot of support and money in order to create a valuable product. He shouldn't look for financial support from the fans anymore imo - I mean he has some pretty rich family members that are able to fund more than 250k.

Few days ago, Taj Jackson updated the fans and the donors through his GoFundMe page regarding his docu-series which included 3 unseen and personal pictures of Michael Jackson.
Yesterday, Taj shared 4 more unseen pictures of Michael with the following statement:
“With everything that is going on in the world today, we are constantly bombarded with negativity and darkness. It’s very easy to lose faith.
Then I remember this man and the joy and light he brought to the world, no matter the obstacles.
There was no better reward than to see my uncle Michael happy, smiling or laughing when my brothers and I were with him. That was our gift, that was our superpower.
I decided to share more personal photos today because seeing my uncle happy always lift me up and I hope they do the same for you.”



 
Taj Jackson just updated the fans on his “Re-Righting HIStory” docuseries project which he started in January 2019.

Taj has been trying to put this documentary into action for a while now. COVID, unknown and known forces trying to stop him, personal events such the birth of his children, all contributed to a massive delay which has alienated part of the fan community at times.

But yesterday update from Taj on his GoFundMe page revealed more issues: “Behind the scenes, I’ve had everything thrown at me from stall tactics, to strong arm intimidation, to backstabbing. And unfortunately some of this comes directly from so called “Allies”.”

But now Taj would like to take another direction and be more open and transparent with this project and by 2024, he will start telling the fans and general public what’s up with the project: “If the open and transparent angle route is the right way to go for most of you, we can start early 2024 off that way.”

What does this mean? We can expect more information about his docuseries, what has been done so far, who is participating, maybe some of the content will be revealed and also update on production timelines. But let’s wait and see what Taj will be revealing in 2024…

The update also thanks the fans who have been supportive of the project “Besides my family, the constant thing that has helped me through all of this has been you guys. You have been absolutely incredible.” and also wished everyone happy holidays.

CHARACTER AND A PROMISE
Wow, this past year has been quite an experience.
I’ve known for quite some time that every word, text, tweet, or update I write is being captured and dissected to possibly use against either me or this project.
That is one of the main reasons why I have been less and less active on social media.
Behind the scenes, I’ve had everything thrown at me from stall tactics, to strong arm intimidation, to backstabbing.
And unfortunately some of this comes directly from so called “Allies”.
I’ve been offered outside $$$ to either dilute this MJ project, or shelve it.
My character has been constantly tested, my dedication challenged and my livelihood threatened.
I’ve personally shouldered way too much privately because I didn’t want to put any of this burden on others.
And through it all, I still remember that promise I made to my uncle….
I will always fight for him, his legacy and his character, no matter the obstacles or challenges.
Aligned with the truth, it has been my honor to do so.

Some might question if all of this is worth it?
The answer for me will always be YES, without a doubt. Because HE IS WORTH IT.
I have never measured my uncle’s worth by how much money he can make for himself or corporations.
I have only measured his worth by his heart. And to me that value is priceless.

So if I need to be an unwavering dolphin swimming in these shark infested waters. All for my uncle, all for MJ. So be it.
I would never quit this fight because I cherish my integrity, reputation, and more importantly, my word. Character is everything. It is my strength, it is my superpower.

Besides my family, the constant thing that has helped me through all of this has been you guys. You have been absolutely incredible.
All those messages of support and emails. It really does pick me up and remind me that I am NEVER ALONE in this fight.
The sad part is, this is only a small slice of what my uncle had to go through in life.

ONE LAST THING….
I’ve tried for so long to keep this project under the radar and hide it from the general media and public. My strategy was…they can not stop what they do not know.
However, I don’t 100 percent feel like this tactic is as effective anymore.
All it really does is frustrate you guys and keep you totally in the dark with questions and no answers.
Another alternative is me considering the open and transparent angle. This would be pretty new to me regarding this project, but I am willing to entertain that idea now.
I’m curious to hear your thoughts or concerns about either route.

If the open and transparent angle route is the right way to go for most of you, we can start early 2024 off that way.
After all, this is not just my project, this is OUR project.
We have been on this MJ battlefield fighting together and have the permanent battle scars to prove it.
And while others might now feel safe enough to swoop in to reap all the rewards from OUR wins and efforts.. I will continue to remind them that WE were the ones on those front lines, not them.
That is why you guys will always have my gratitude and respect.

I have also lost faith. Some of the things said above seem excuses or blown out of proportion as reason for delay. That said, I acknowledge I don't know all the details, maybe he is facing all those issues. Though more transparency should be obvious when fans are funding this.
 
How does he even plan this thing with the Robson & Safechuck trial & Leaving Neverland 2 upcoming? The decisions that has to be made on what to include and not to include must be insane! Even for The Estate it must be hellish to know the trial and Leaving Neverland 2 is coming and the only response is the biopic which wont have enough running time to do a proper debunk....

I am glad I am not in Tajs or the Estates shoes tbh, its going to absolute hell!

If liars can make LN2, why can't a truthful documentary be make? What am I missing? Are there things that cannot be released due to the trial? Or does the trail mean that anything positive released would be written off as agenda for the trial?
 
The trial has nothing to do with the docuseries. Taj said he wants this out before the trial.

The fact he is just now contemplating being transparent is hilarious. It's crowdfunding 101.
 
Guys you have to understand the pressue taj is facing its hard cuz of the media beung the way they are taj is facing many obstacles. Give him time the trial wont begin any time soon

Janet alone could throw that money..
taj is a good guy and he obviously isn't that rich but the fact that his family not wanting to support it with their money speaks a lot doesn't it?
 
the whole family could have raised their voices against oprah publicly in the past 5 years since LN... they could do so much but they refuse.
 
Believe All Victims, silly. What would debating the allegations anywhere but in a court of law do but damage their reputations along with Michael?

I've donated and any criticism he's getting relating to his management of this project is 100 percent deserved. Also him arguing about petty useless stuff on twitter constantly is embarrassing and if he doesn't wanna be made fun of for that maybe he should stop doing it.

People asking where the doc is are not all trolls, they are people wondering what he is doing with their money that they gave him. The fact he is acting like he's being harassed or trolled is hilarious.
