Well, yeah. Maybe I'm wrong. What exactly surprises you?

“Subtle.”

You described it so vividly. 😍
Now I'm excited for this team too)))))) I too have noticed in myself a rare heightened fascination with achievements in soccer)))) although most of the time I'm not interested 😀
Full disclosure, hope. By this time tomorrow I'll be back to my default setting. Football? What's that? Who cares? :ROFLMAO:

My interest in football is very random. Sometimes a specific player really catches my attention and I (sort of) follow them for a few years. There have been a few phases where I quite liked Arsenal as a team. I love a spectacular goal. But mostly I don't really care. There is so much about football that is horrible.

That said, moments like these? I just get madly over-excited. I love the spectacle of it.

@Fuzball is the footie person not me. But today I'm very happy for the people of Bilbao. I think it's lovely.

I’m mostly only interested in one single team, and more specifically one player, namely Luka Modrić of Croatia’s national team. I don’t know why, but if allowed to speculate, I think it is because he have an elegance in his play that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Also a way of thinking ahead, so to speak. It’s enjoyable to watch.
He is a very cool player. I'd rather watch Mbappe play but Luka has done some good stuff. He led his guys to the 2018 world cup final. Awesome!

Mbappe is good, too. A bit on the cocky side, though.
It happens to so many of them, I find. If you are that talented at such a young age and you are super successful and super rich - if you get into one of the big teams - it's not surprising if things get a little ... um ... self-centred. I can understand it and I will cut them some slack where I feel it's appropriate. But it can grate, nevertheless.

Trying to wrap my head around this quote.

The more constraints one imposes, the more one frees one’s self. And the arbitrariness of the constraint serves only to obtain precision of execution.

My brain doesn't work like Stravinsky's, lol. I'll just enjoy the musical output from his brain and leave the philosophy to one side.

Me too, and I love it 💓

That, too. Is this about a mistaken choice of words?
I’m not sure. You said ‘subtle.’ If the thinness of the building was subtle, it would not appear as particularly thin to you. Is that how you meant?
