Twitter is a special place! Lol. It's why I have decided to not even tweet from my main account for the time being because it's getting beyond ridiculous with some new and old fans alike. Although I might look at some stuff sideways, I don't expect this biopic to get every detail right. We as fans know what things are to look like but the average public does not. So, as long as Lionsgate does a good job, I'm good. I agree with you about the nitpicking!

You appear to be anti Jaafar for some odd reason. You're disregarding him like he's just another MJ impersonator in a cheap outfit.

I really hope we get to see a trailer soon, he's been receiving amazing praise so far from those who are working with him during filming and from those who seen the teaser trailer.

A 4K concert will not give the world a chance to understand who the real man was , it's just another concert, there's plenty of footage of him performing on youtube.

This film will hopefully set the record straight and boost his legacy in a huge way.

I didn't check the comments and don't plan to do so. But ... I hear you, lol. I can guess what some of those comments are saying, I might even agree with some of them, tbh. Every time I see photos of Jaafar ... hm ... how can I put this? I 'struggle', shall we say! Not gonna say any more bc the last time I was upfront with my opinions about Jaafar photos all kinds of nonsense kicked off and I am so not in the mood for any more of that. So I'll keep my thoughts to myself. Just know, there is SO much I could say. LOL.

I guess what I'm saying is, I can see this from both sides.

Mm, but tbf there are other comments that are also outrageous, imo. Comments which claim that Jaafar looks exactly like Michael to the point where people even say he IS Michael. I know that people don't really mean it the way it sounds, I get that people are very excited about this, the production values look pretty good so far, nothing can possibly be an exact replica and this thing can't be judged until we at least see the trailer and even that can only be a partial judgement. We have to wait for the full thing.

Just to be clear, I'm not knocking Jaafar and the comments from that CinemaCon screening were very interesting.

I go to TwiX just for information. Occasionally I catch the first 2 or 3 comments in a convo but I can't be bothered to follow the rest. It can be really cool for getting info quickly but sometimes it's tricky trying to decide what is legit and what is just speculation.

Why not both? Maybe they will release more live stuff after the biopic. This movie increases the chances.

Looks like the double of a young Jennifer, it will be her for sure.

I don't think we will get any TII footage other than say the press conference (if they even go that far) they might be clever and just play a little section of real footage.

I do think it would be a bit weird for Jennifer to come out with that quote if it wasn't true. I don't follow her but she always comes across as very down to earth and doesn't seem to milk her connection to Michael for extra minutes in the spotlight. So I'm kind of assuming (hoping!) it's true.

Although Orianthi would also be fine bc then we would know they are taking the story all the way.

I doubt it. Maybe possibly a scene with Michael on the set of Thriller? Who knows. Obviously we’ve learned since that this was a Victory Tour related scene.

Are you aware of what this film is setting out to achieve?
Do you care about Michael Jackson’s reputation as a human being on planet Earth?
Are you aware of what an epic motion picture film actually is, as apposed to a 4K live concert?
Do you realise that this film is a reality whether you care about Michael’s good name or whether YOU don’t care about Michael’s good name?
What are you hoping to achieve by continuously coming on here and speaking down to others as though they are less than you because this isn’t what YOU want?
Why do you speak about “common sense“ when you don‘t seem to possess any?

Absolutely. We’ll hear Thriller obviously. Maybe a clip of the short film or live performance, MJ in the recording studio or something. To re-shoot the short film would be massively impractical and reductive I would imagine.

Some fans are extremely selfish, it's about what they want. I want a 4K release, I want an unreleased song etc

How about what's best for Michael? His legacy means nothing if he's constantly being ridiculed and called a child molester. The man worked all his life for this? Seriously.

I'm sick of seeing every 3rd or 4th comment on an article about him with the response of nonce or pedo. Sick of it!

I do care about the way he is seen to the world. Something needs to change and this movie can hopefully go a long way to help that.

Thank you, and I feel you so much on this. You can be having a really good day and you’ll stumble on a comment like that and it really hurts. For me, it hasn’t gotten easier over time. Those comments still have the ability to take my breath away and hurt deeply.

Imagine the actual pain Michael endured in his life because of this evil that does not seem to go away. And then, even in death they couldn’t just leave him rest.

I‘m guessing that Hulkamaniac is a pretty young fan so I should really make allowances and try to be a little more compassionate but it just smacks of jumped up little fanboy kid throwing his/her toys out of the pram because they are not getting what they want.

We’d all love a Bad Tour or Victory Tour in a movie theatre in the most amazing quality but there’s something far more important that needs to happen first. This biopic could do an awful lot of good and open doors to those other sought after releases.

Oh sure. Of course. I mean, they are already combining stuff by having Jaafar on top of the car. Afaik, in the Thriller era, that only happened in London outside Madame Tussaud's. But it's how they tell stories, mixing stuff up to save time or simplify the storyline. Small stuff like that doesn't bother me.

It's ironic that he or she uses that name, since Hulk Hogan is supposed to have a biopic starring Chris Hemsworth. :p Hulk himself is behind the movie. That was announced before the writers & actors strikes, so don't know if that is still in pre-production or cancelled.
