"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

I'm surprised we haven't heard from any of the extras in the film, like 'concert goers'. NDAs I guess?

I’d love for them to use the classical music mj was making in 2009 as the score for the film.

“Michael played the CD. It was very pretty music. He said, ‘But a section is missing.’ He played a second piece. And he said, ‘But a section is missing, too. But I can hum it to you.’ I sat at the piano and Michael hummed the missing part of one of the pieces. I had taken a little digital recorder with me and asked if I could record him. He was in perfect pitch. I tried to figure out chords to go with it as he hummed. He said, ‘Your instincts are totally right about the chords.’”

DMF about the music “I laid the music all out on my computer and started on the orchestrations. Finally, a week before Michael died, his manager, Frank Dileo, called and asked me for an email with the budget and an electronic mock-up of the music, the costs of orchestration.”
Those songs are described as sounding like film scores. They would be absolutely PERFECT for this movie.
"Frank described it as closer to film score music, but was impressed with Michael's knowledge of the genre. Michael once revealed that classical music was his 'first love'...

While Frank sat at the piano Michael played him two incomplete demos he had written, humming the missing parts. He was anxious to get the pieces orchestrated and record them with a large orchestra. "I asked if he could have someone to call me to discuss the budget and he said he would take care of it," Frank said. Frank suggested they record the music in London, an idea which Michael liked.

In the meantime, Frank laid the music out on his computer and started the orchestrations, and later received a call from Michael's camp asking for a budget. "The pieces sound like pretty film score music, with very traditional harmony, and definitely very strong melodies," Frank said. Of course, the project would never come to fruition."

Does anyone else not see this thread anymore on Michael Jackson News And Discussion section? It doesn't show up for me.

Yup, I'm sticking by my thoughts that this film will not go past 93 and if it does, it will skip to 2009 for his death.

I know they have said that they will cover it all but I just can't see it personally.
Regarding this, we have only seen outdoor sets for filming and some pivotal moments are missing that I would expect to see... Court arrival 2005, on the car, the fans celebrating etc.

There is 99.9% of this film that we know absolutely nothing about until it is revealed. I wouldn’t jump to conclusions based on 0.1%.
This is a massive scale motion picture.

A little off topic but it's in Caroll Avenue, Los Angeles. In fact, if you search "Thriller House" in Google maps, it'll come up 😉

@mjfanatic777 Is the house still damaged to the front? Like fire damage? It was in 2018.
Wow, I did not realise it was that well known!! Thank you!!

yea you just need to know what it looks like. LA, Cali
here's the address:
1345 Carroll Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90026
Thank you too!!

@Billie Jean 78 you gotta go to the US to see it homie
You know... I have this on my bucket list... going to the USA and making a little MJ tour so to speak. The Thriller house... The entrance to Neverland... If possible I would add Gary Indiana to the trip too.

And sorry for going off topic!!!

When was Michael first seen wearing a mask?
In his book Moonwalk, Mike mentions wearing a mask when he had his wisdom teeth pulled, the dentist gave it to him to keep germs out and help the healing process, Mike said he enjoyed the feeling of privacy it gave him.

It was around the early Bad era mid 1986 I think

Could be. Unless they have to do any re-shoots. Unless they use June or August for more cast revelations. Although I guess they might have to save those for later to maintain interest.
Many major productions do reshoots whenever it's neccessary. Wouldn't be an unusual step if they'd reshoot some scenes later this year.
