Yeah but the 30th anniversary concert was in 2001, it's now 2024.We know, but do the young ones know? The ones who will go to the cinema to accompany their parents or even their grandparents? They may have heard stories, but it wouldn't harm to get visually reminded.
Beyonce, JT, Usher etc all are in their 40's now, they're not exactly still hip for the kids, Beyonce is obviously still pretty relevant, the point I'm making is that a lot of their fans are probably in their 20's, 30's and 40's themselves. They will know a lot about MJ.
It would be different if it was a current superstar, aka Taylor Swift to help bring in the audience.
Michael was arguably the most famous man on the planet and certainly the biggest star for decades, the man has enough pulling power to bring in the crowd on his own.
