The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

I love "Your Ways" and "Everybody" tbh. Can agree for "Wondering Who", worst track of the album with "Walk Right Now"

I'd cut "Give It Up" too, but it's a bit more enjoyable than the other twos for me.
I need an eye rolling reaction

man there’s just not a bad track on this album BUT, Wondering Who, imo, would fall under the weakest

He was to star in a movie titled "24 Robbers". He signed on for the project in June of 1976 and in the contract, he agreed to bring his family's services into the production, including providing original music for the soundtrack.
Interesting. I'd like to know more about this movie. Perhaps some of the unreleased song titles we have were meant for this movie.

Nice find. I never knew this before. I wonder why this got shelved? Must be around the same time of the Jacksons Variety show and the move to Epic to record the first album.

Without knowing much about this movie, I immediately wonder if "Goin' To Rio" had anything to do with this since the timing would seem about right.

Could be

I wonder if we'll ever get the 30 minute short film version of TWYMMF. Michael used to play pieces of it inside the theater at Neverland along with a non 3D version of EO
Wait how is it that I'm barely finding out that there's a 30 minute version of TWYMMF? I had no idea there was, what info do we even have of it? Is there footage of it?

Destiny is excellent. Triumph is great. But what they both lack is Bruce's mixing and Quincy's sleek production. Triumph is mixed horribly and even MJ later admitted this.
This Place Hotel sounds like it was screen recorded off of an MP3

Off The Wall is a 4/5 meanwhile Destiny is a 5/5, but y’all are not ready for that conversation :D
While we're on the topic of album ratings, Ive been wondering recently that if Michael had not been snubbed by the Grammy's because they were too scared of another MJ sweep or were racial bias, would Michael's career and life been different?

Grammys don't mean nothing. But a lotta artists do seem to have a rise and Fall.

Additional dialogue and dancing from what I was told. The Estate has the footage but it does exist and was confirmed to play at the theater at Neverland

For decades it was rumoured to be 24 minutes. But I do wonder if someone mixed it up or exaggerated with the 14 minutes version?

I've always imagined what Destiny and Triumph would have sound like if they had been recorded and mixed by Bruce - especially one of favorite Jacksons songs, "that's what you get for being polite".

That’s what a few people said. Fred Maze, who I believe passed away, mentioned an extended cut and one of Michael’s early associates confirmed a 30 minute version with more dancing but never gave details.

I wonder if Joe Pytka would shed more light

Maybe the part where Michael does the slow moonwalk shuffle at the end of TWYMMF Grammy performance was taken from the extra dance footage?
Could’ve been just a possible breakdown for the performance but who knows. We know there’s hours of footage from the short film and Michael and Joe wanted to turn it into a full film but scrapped it

I wonder how much new material was written and worked on during the HIStory era? It seems like Mike went to his vault and polished up a lot of previously written material for the album
Since the BOTDF album is basically HIStory left overs, even though some were written and recorded as early as 1989/1990, probably little to nothing. Brad said there were song titles and music but they were just song grooves

That's a good point mate, BOTDF was basically HIStory left overs.

I wonder if the short time period between the allegations, then HIStory becoming a new album rather than greatest hits was a factor. Similar to Dangerous and Decade?

It does seem like Mike polished off some demos for the backbone of the record, TDCAU, Earth Song, Tabloid Junkie, Come Together, Little Susie. Not that I'm complaining as they're some great songs

As much as I like Invincible, I wish he had done the same for this album and included songs like Throwing Your Life Away.

I recall Rob Hoffman saying 30-40 songs total were worked on during the sessions. A good chunk seems to be old material, and “worked on” doesn’t always mean MJ laid down vocals, but you gotta assume there are SOME brand-new songs.
