The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

It's entirely possible that the estate have recovered some iPhone vocal demos. I think it's very unlikely they would ever release something like that, though.

Didn't mean literally, but some fairy dust of truth. He probably didn't use the phone to record demos as he had higher quality pocket sized equipment for that. maybe quick ideas though
But now it got me thinking...(off topic) June 2009 iphone was the first decent one. I wonder whether he got sent one in advance.

Garage Band actually wasn't on iPhones until 2011 so the timeline doesn't match up to cope 😮‍💨

It would be Garage Band on a Macbook or iMac instead #believe #thedreamgoeson

Voice Memos came to iOS for iOS 3 which released June 17th 2009.

I think it's why Murray recorded Michael on a random app. Maybe MJ also used that app?

Cut songs

And how many of those actual have vocals

And how many of those actual have vocals
Songs no. 1-2; 5-8; 18; 25; 30; 32; 35-36 are all grooves w/no vocals
Songs no. 3-4; 9; 11; 40 (and possibly 31 and 42) have barely any releasable vocals (choruses only or scratch vocals throughout)
Songs no. 13-14; 16; 20-22; 26-27; 29; 33-34; 37-39 were likely just songs by other MJJ Productions artists
Song no. 41 only exists as a writer's demo
Songs no. 10; 12; 17; 19; 23 were already released
Song no. 28 never left the writing stage
Only song no. 24 has something releasable (mix no. 9 w/strings)

Interesting slightly off topic hypothetical, would you (you being anyone reading this) trade the unreleased tracks with vocals for the ones that have no vocals?

Let's say I Am a Loser has no vocals in exchange for, say, a fully complete Ghost of Another Lover.

Dream Away is bare and empty but Water is about fully realized.

Hollywood Tonight had a complete bridge but Xscape loses its middle section.

And so on and so forth.
There’s not much I wouldn’t do for a complete ‚Ghost Of Another Lover‘ in HQ… 🤣

Email from The estate about biopic and later project (Dangerous and HIStory Documentaries… maybe we will get some new stuff soon

quote

Thank you for your continued support of Michael Jackson’s legacy.

We continue to hear from many of you about your disappointment with not having any official updates on the Michael biopic. So, we wanted to just let you all know that, just like you, the Online Team continues to ask for information on the film.

Rest assured that once the movie studio, who ultimately controls the release of the information, does provide information and/or assets, we will be sharing that information and/or assets with you!! And, like you, we hope that more details are released very soon.

As hard as it is to remain patient, we try to remind ourselves how Michael could not be rushed when it came to his art and how amazing the results were when he finally released each album, short film, etc. We are hopeful that the additional time and work on the film will serve to make it an even better movie experience for all of us and that our patience will be rewarded in the end with a film that we can all cheer for and celebrate as being Michael-worthy.

We also appreciate that the delays in the release of the biopic have the added impact of delaying the projects the Estate has planned, including well-deserved documentaries for both Dangerous and HIStory and other projects as well. And while we appreciate and understand the additional disappointment that this causes for us all, we have confirmed that the Estate looks forward to being in a position to restart its efforts with respect to all of the projects that are planned to follow the release of the biopic.

We appreciate your outreach and excitement. As soon as we have news to share, we will send another email out.

In the meantime, feel free to continue to email us with your questions and comments, and we will continue to do our best to provide you with the information and/or guidance we can.

Thank you,

MJ Online Team

Honestly, using the biopic as a springboard to start funneling new projects out is a great idea. Remind people why they love MJ, then hit them with, “Wanna see/hear stuff you’ve never heard before?” I think that’s a lot more enticing timeline wise than just releasing something at random.

Of course it’s all in the execution, but this could be another MJ renaissance if done well.

I just hope they'll drop those documentaries at random dates that comes soon after the biopic's release instead of waiting for certain anniversary dates to come up, by the time they come the biopic will have long been forgotten by the general public and it won't have the same impact. Imagine if we're still forced to wait 5+ years for the Dangerous documentary that would suck so badly lol

I think the general public will mainly be interested in music, so I guess releasing music soon after the biopic is out will be their first goal.

Yeah I was talking about the general public's interest in the music that the biopic will bring, and the interest won't be as high as when the biopic first releases. By 5-10 years the hype will definitely have cooled down.

First the release of new music alongside the biopic, then within 2-3 years the release of the Dangerous/HIStory documentaries would be ideal imo.

I'm looking for information/sources on the unreleased song "Fever."

This demo is said to be from a collaboration with Bryan Loren during the Dangerous sessions, and MJ sings backing vocals only. There's apparently a photo of a cassette with this title, as well as Deep In The Night and Superfly Sister, that I'd like to find.

Some of you have way too much faith in the Estate. Even now. After all that's happened. It doesn't matter how modest your expectations/hopes are, they will disappoint you.

I've tried looking for any sources, both here and on other sites, and I only see the title being thrown around with no sources anywhere, or even a DITN/Superfly Sister cassette. I think there's a chance that one's made up.

Speaking of this topic also, while looking things up I stumbled upon another title "It", also for Dangerous supposedly. Anyone knows if we have a source for that? Couldn't find anything on that either.

Yes I wrote an indeph review of brads seminar from June 2023. Just check my posts. They didn’t play anything that wasn’t related to an already released track. The biggest highlight for me was hearing the 2008 or 9 version of Hollywood Tonight with David Williams rhythm guitar. Was amazing. MP told us about how Michael was giving good advice to get the guitar to sound the right way
you are talking about this version right? It's second Neff-U mix

Bryan Loren confirmed its existence on his episode of TheMJCast, but I'm not so sure about "Fever."

I just checked it out and when he was asked about any other songs than what's leaked he said he wouldn't comment on them though? Didn't hear anything about "It".
