The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Based on the melody Motif keeps using in his shitpost memes, I feel like World of Candy is gonna end up being my most hated demo if those clips are anything close to the real thing.

It really takes effort to make a song cheesier and more annoying than Seeing Voices, I Have This Dream sounds like a masterpiece in comparison.

Lotfi was right, we want angry vocals...... (half /s)

I mean, World of Candy is just a silly song if anything Motif is posting is accurate.

There isn't anything from the RedOne sessions that's anywhere close to being complete unfortunately, the one song RedOne did mention that could be released would still need to have other vocalists to fill in the missing gaps.

Unless there's a song that we've yet to know of its existence, "I Was The Loser" is most likely the only track from the final years that was completed. Also the only song from that era which I think will ever be officially released by the Estate.

Is "Just Remember" really that complete? I thought half of it was just Michael going "da da de de" lol
It is—that’s what Damien reported.

“Best of Joy” was the last complete vocal MJ recorded. “I Was the Loser” was just replacing background vocals. The RedOne song (the title of which hasn’t been confirmed) is complete enough to be released, but it was never confirmed that it was fully finished.

You're gonna hate it

Let's note that everything Damien has heard was already registered in the copyright office. Ergo, there could be unregistered songs that we have absolutely 0 clue about. I'm actually willing to bet on it.

Sony and the Jackson estate already have plans in place for a reissue of Jackson’s multi-platinum-selling 1979 album “Off the Wall” next year that will contain a trove of new, exclusive material.
“The stuff we have in the vaults around that record is fascinating and remarkable,” Stringer said. “We’re going to build a whole platform with a documentary. The outtakes are fantastic! We have a lot of great stuff from around every time period [in Jackson’s career]. We’re plowing through everything now to understand what we’ve got.”
As well, Jackson estate co-executor John McClain -- a 40-year confidant of the entertainer who produced part of Jackson’s 2001 album “Invincible” -- is spearheading the selection of an album of previously unreleased material that could hit shelves late this year.
“John McClain tells me they’ve got over 60 unreleased recordings that they’re choosing from,” Branca said. “The first album will have around 10. There’s some very recent stuff and vintage stuff that deserves to be shared with Michael’s fans.”

Ahhh the memories...Anywho, what's the likelihood that there are songs that not even the estate knows about.

Any full leaks in the scope forward? 😶‍🌫️
I'm not sure about "full" leaks but there are kids who are definitely still hoarding snippets, the second snippet of "Don't Matter To Me" that got out more recently was accidentally leaked by one of them, so they could very well be sitting on more. I'll bet we're getting at least one more of that kind of leak this year.

But if we're talking full songs I'd say "Adore You" and "Water" are certain to leak out eventually since we've practically heard them in their entirety. They can't be worth a lot by this point.

anyone still remembers Off The Wall 2015?

I remember that little anecdote was first mentioned by Bart Stevens in his interview with Sandburg! He also mentioned that the first demo was recorded in February 1991, which is far later than often believed for that song.
That would align with one of the DATs found during the Brad laptop theft; there's a scan of a DAT featuring Mix 3 of WYBT (3-22-91) and Mix 2 of Jam (3-23-91).

We still need the thriller era version of Chicago 1945. Probably has a completely different sound
iirc the original demo had synth drums and not real ones. The drums heard in the 2021 version are the ones that replaced the synth ones in the original finished version of the song from 1983-85. Its also possible that it was further worked on for Bad, but it isn't confirmed. The 2021 version is basically the original 1983 one with different mixing and added horns iirc

For years, everyone has always wanted to hear Sex Life, but not me. Instead, I long for the day where I get to hear "Pee"

absolutely love Mix 3 of Will You Be There, hope that one will be released to the public one day, surprisingly not that far off to the final version but still quite a few differences which are cool to hear
