We're not asking them to "acknowledge" the allegations... we're asking them to squash them by simply putting the truth out there.
That's the point.
What makes for a good biopic?
Intriguing personality? Check.
Unorthodox life? Check.
Unusual life choices that people want to know more about? Check.
Reclusive, with unanswered questions? Check.
Controversial elements? Check.
On the face if it, MJ is
exactly the sort of person that would make for an
excellent biopic. All they have to do is grasp the nettle and take on the important questions, and they can't lose.
But they won't do that, because they don't understand what a biopic is. They think it's a 2-hour opportunity to advertise another greatest hits compilation album. Doh.
If somebody brings up the allegations in 2029, we're supposed to be able to say "go away and watch the movie, it will answer all your questions and tell you what you need to know".
If the movie doesn't become the authority on all aspects of MJs life, then there's no point.
Saying "wait to see if we decide to make a sequel" is gonna be awkward and embarrassing as hell.
