The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

this is unrelated but I just realized there’s a good possibility that in 2010 RedOne approached the Estate in talks of Dancing For Love being a Charity single with a bunch of artists, and the Estate just told him to do We Are The World 25 instead. I’m sure its been speculated before, but I just had the thought now.
For what it’s worth, “Dancing for Love” isn’t confirmed to be the releasable song; it’s just the only title we’re aware of because of the Phillips lawsuit.

That said, that’s a great thought.

I bet “Dancing for Love” is the song. RedOne said the song is all about love or something along those lines. I’d love to hear it, even if it’s not that good lmao

It could be, but an MJ song about love is a pretty general statement lmao. It’s just worth pointing out that the title hasn’t been definitively confirmed.

Considering Michael was a virgin at the time (he admits as much in the Glenda Tapes dated just before the Dangerous World Tour), I'm not sure his opinion on sex is all that meaningful.

Maybe the reason he still was a virgin then (if he still was) was because he was after genuine love (and not casual sex/groupies/people who only loved him for his image). That's basically how he explained it himself I guess

There’s quite a lot of great songs with little to no vocals or lyrics in them, so I personally still think these songs with only a chorus or one verse are still viable if approached the right way.

I just still don't fully grasp MJ's way of recording tbh
So much demo's with the chorusses and production totally fleshed out and yet the verses are missing..? Even with songs that were candidates for release at one point (Superfly Sister, ITB, MiB, 7 Digits, Innocent Man etc.)

Some say he recorded the chorusses first, so maybe didn't get to the verses yet, but still: one expects there to be more fleshed out scratch vocals/lyrics for those demo's..??

As for all leaked tracks: almost all of them are WIP daymixes; we have no clue what might have been recorded on actual multitracktapes.

The full chorus was the way he worked, if he didn't like the chorus, he'd move on from the song but he would also get side tracked.

"I write all the time. I have so many songs, and another song will come along and beat it out; not that those aren't good enough to release because I am going to do those in the future, but it's just I get more excited about the next one and then the next one" - Michael 1984

#JusticeForVictory

We should've had the unreleased material from this album years ago.
It reads like there are 9 leftovers in a releasable state.

Epic could release an expanded edition of Victory along with a concert dvd/blu-ray this summer. Of course, all brothers (their estate's) have to agree for such step.

Maybe the track was too long for the album (symphonic opening according to Bruce Swedien) and Michael opted not to getting it trimmed.
I can only think of one reason why Be Not Always made the final cut over Buffalo Bill:

MJ thought it was important for a song like Be Not Always to spread the message of peace on the album.

Otherwise, it makes no sense. Be Not Always is more of a song meant for a concept album. Nothing that would ever top the charts.
