The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

To solve many unanswered questions/mysteries regarding 1980s tracks we'll somehow have to get in touch with John van Nest, Brian Malouf and Russ Ragsdale.

And then there's Bill Bottrell, his session calenders and his (hopefully soon to be released) book.

Russ is reachable thru facebook pretty much, a really lovely guy to chat with about Bad. Brian I tried to contact via his website but no luck with that one… not sure for John Van Nest.

Wonder how to reach Matt Forger though. He probably has some calendars that were mentioned to Mike Smallcombe.

I could be wrong, but aren't those that worked with MJ that claimed the "Michael" vocals were real pull back from interacting with fans for... obvious reasons? Greg and Matt are 2 I can think of.

Matt was more “on the fence” in that regard about those vocals, saying he was not 100% certain that it was not Michael, but it could be. That was the gist I got from Faking Michael.

I've asked him few questions some time ago (have to look up when it was; 2 years ago maybe). He didn't reply.
Oh okay. I messaged him last year, and he got back to me within a few days, no problem at all, with some detailed replies on the Bad album etc.
Might be worth trying again I suppose.

Edit: Try not make the questions too exacting as they might think you are info extracting from them, that’s my general advice. Keep it friendly and enthusiastic.

Guys do we know if MJ reworked/completed Rocker after 2005?
And if so, did he plan to finish it after This is it?
Sorry if it has been asked before, but I saw that Damien Shields said that there are other song lists found in MJ bedroom... Hence the question 🤔

There’s sadly no info on when it was recorded, when it was last worked on, etc. Damien said he isn’t even certain of its origins, just that it was recorded in a Neverland bathroom no later than late 2004. He’s spoken about the song multiple times and never indicated it was listed on any of the unpublished song lists, so I’d wager not. It’s also never been acknowledged by any of MJ’s collaborators to my understanding, so it doesn’t seem to have been a song that stuck around long enough to make an impression.

Which is weird, because, what we have heard about rocker indicates it would be a pretty solid track

Agreed, it'd be a waste if MJ never went back to work on that song again. But then Michael sometimes did have the habit of creating a song in one session that's a total banger (e.g,. "Dream Away", "Love Never Felt So Good", "Loving You", etc.) and then never return to it again so I guess it wouldn't really be surprising lol

And then he’d work on songs like SUAD, Changes for over a decade and either not lay down any vocals or a weak scratch vocal lmaoo

Fr and I ain’t even glazing I’m prob the most critical of MJ on this entire thread 😭😭

Well, he’s always been very secretive, aside from one slip-up that I know of. So I’m not going to put this out publicly.

But it’s safe to assume he has connections within the industry — and, more importantly, money.

Who knows? I have a guess about what’s going to happen with the material (or what may have already happened), but let’s wait and see.
Well, he definitely doesn't work on the sound engineering part of the industry--that's for sure.
For what it's worth: https://www.reddit.com/user/ryanold19/comments/1q8bgms/update/

Looks like he's since passed away from a stroke (RIP) and his son made a post... He agrees that some of the things his father said was dubious, including "Basszouille". He found a cassette of "Bassouille" which appears to be some funky Bryan Loren groove track... There is also a track called "Circles" on the tape, mentioned here: https://michael-jackson.fandom.com/wiki/Circles

We might be on to something, but we need more info just to be sure.
My guy it's a troll, I know the person doing it, though we don't talk anymore.
