I have a friend who is slowly dying from a brain tumor.
We found out two years ago. Since then, he's been under medical supervision, of course.
But that didn't stop him from going out with friends, etc.
Three years ago, we promised each other we'd go to the movies to see "Michael."
But for the past two weeks, he's been bedridden, paralyzed in one leg, and on morphine. Palliative care will be next.
The end is near.
Just three weeks ago, he was doing well, and we had plans to go see the movie, meet up with other friends—in short, I wanted him to enjoy life as much as possible.
Life is truly cruel sometimes.
